  • I decided to filmed this Chinese religion event since it was just a street away from my place. For many years I have seen such event taking place but it never struck me to check it out, as I thought it was like a private event. I enjoyed the entire event, the staffs were friendly and nice too.
The concept of possession by deities is a cultural and religious belief found in various traditions around the world, including Chinese religion and mythology. In Chinese folklore and religious practices, there are stories and rituals associated with divine possession.
Mediumship: In some Chinese religious traditions, individuals known as mediums or spirit mediums are believed to have the ability to communicate with and even be possessed by deities or spirits. These mediums often play a crucial role in religious ceremonies, acting as a conduit between the spiritual realm and the human world.
Gods and Spirits in Chinese Folk Religion: Chinese folk religion encompasses a diverse range of beliefs and practices, and there are numerous gods and spirits worshipped in various local traditions. During religious ceremonies or festivals, devotees may invite these deities to possess mediums to seek guidance, blessings, or to address specific issues within the community.
Taoist Practices: Taoism, one of the major Chinese religions, also acknowledges the interaction between the human and divine realms. In Taoist rituals, priests may invite deities to possess them temporarily. The possessed priest may then convey messages, offer advice, or perform rituals on behalf of the deity.
Ancestor Worship: While not exactly possession, Chinese ancestral worship involves the veneration of deceased ancestors. During certain ceremonies, it is believed that the spirits of ancestors may be present and influence the living. Rituals and offerings are made to honor and appease these ancestral spirits.
It's important to note that beliefs and practices related to possession vary among different Chinese religious traditions and communities. Additionally, the level of acceptance and prevalence of these practices may differ across regions and cultural groups within China. The concept of possession is deeply rooted in the cultural and religious context of each community, and interpretations may vary. (ChatGTP)

What you say is correct, but in bad English.I thought in S'pore u r taught good English.Let me say it for u in good English: What we see in d video r not gods, but demon possessed mediums masquerading as their Taoist gods n goddesses!!! If one is in his right mind,it should be evident to oneself that d scene is demonic. When demons imitate God n possess people they DISTORT AND DEBASE THE HUMAN PERSONALITY!!! All d devotees u see in d video r victims of demonic deception playing on race, culture n tradition.

When demons try to imitate God n possess fallen humans, they DISTORT AND DEBASE the human personality. All the devotees u see in d video r also victims of their own n demonic deception !!! If one is in one's right mind, one should be able to discern that all that scene portrayed in the video is demonic !!!
