    I enjoy your videos especially since you're working on virtually the same truck as mine and installing the same front and rear suspension! Thank you for your content!

    are you going to remove the Z bar? It will conflict with the pan hard. The pan hard moves in an ARC. The Z bar should move pretty parallel

    • @idahofabricator8710
      @idahofabricator8710  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I removed the diagonal link it’s more for drag-racing the pan hard bar is better for all around street driving

      @@idahofabricator8710 I have the MII from FatMan, My rear is TCI's leaf spring kit. Whose MII did you use? I'm not looking for a dramatic drop, maybe 3 or 4". My 37 has been in my family (aunt and Uncle) for most of it's life. I'm not so much hot rodding it as resto-moding. If you have heard of Nordstrom's Auto and their daughter Yvette of Vanderbrink auctions (think Lambrecht Auction), this was Marie Nordstrom's parents truck. I'm also going LS, though just a 4.8 or 5.3 iron block.

      So a quick update on the motor. Just finished texting with Nordstroms. They have a low mileage Texas Silverado, 2WD, with the ECO Tech LT1. I'm taking it.

    What disc break rear end did you use in your chevy truck build?

    Great info!, When you installed your cross member did you add anti dive or is the frame level front to back and side to side as well as the cross member?

    • @idahofabricator8710
      @idahofabricator8710  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Douglas I set my frame level side to side and 2° lower in the front, I set my Front crossmember level with a frame 2° lower in the front that way my steering geometry would be correct because I knew the rear of the truck would sit a little higher in the back which I figured was about 2° Hope I explained that right.

      Sorry Martin I didn’t see your question in the comments, my concrete is 4 1/2 inches thick and my Lift can go about 78 inches.

    What size wheel , tire combo are you going to be running? Great information

    • @idahofabricator8710
      @idahofabricator8710  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark I have been thinking 18 inch wheels front and rear as far as tire width haven’t decided if I want to put wheel tubs in the back or not

    • @markfrancies8356
      @markfrancies8356 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I went with 15” I like small wheel lot of rubber, had to do over maybe 17” makes wheel selections a little easer, and brake clearance. Love your patience, looking good.

    Afternoon Steve. I know you said your ride height ( shocks compressed” was at 12 1/2”. What is the bolt to bolt measurement, without the added weight ? Mine is around 15”, with no weight. I was just wondering if I needed to raise the top mount, to compensate. But, that may not be necessary.

    • @idahofabricator8710
      @idahofabricator8710  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The center to center bolt measurement on my truck unloaded is 14 1/2 inches if you’re at 15 you’re right there I don’t think you need to relocate anything

    Greetings from California! 😷🤒🤪
    I commented on your steering video and believe it or not I'm set up with thr Ford 9" as well! Mine is 62" and im afraid it's too wide.. I was wondering what width yours is and are you planning on a little wider tie in the back? Thank you and keep up the great videos!

      Thanks for the question Tim from the factory it was 61 inches mine is 60 1/2 inches from backing plate to backing plate I don’t have the tires and wheels yet but any adjustment I can do with backspacing on the wheels right now they fit under the fenders very nice I am going to put small 3 inch tubs in the bed so hopefully I can get a decent size rear tire

      @@idahofabricator8710 No problem, I read both at the same time. Im looking forward to seeing that and how it looks. My other 2 options are cut the housings and get custom length axles or add a pie cut to the fenders... Either way quite an undertaking...
      Thank you for such a fast response. Much appreciated!
