this is what has really pulled me back to cars, they aren't just boxes on wheels that sometimes are driven in races like F1, GT3, GT2, they are ways of life, languages and a bonding even if you are completely different you will almost certainly make a friend. if you aren't, you are doing it wrong. I love the car culture of japan and almost makes me want to learn it myself, go there and have the most fun of my life. None of my friends understand this but i am sure you will
Me too. Top gear is enjoyable because we get to have a taste of something that we would never get to experience. MCM on the other hand gives us inspiration for something that we all could achieve, with time and patience. Top gear avarege car $150k and up. MCM avarege car $5k and up.
Don't forget about budget. TG have had a no limits rule. It will pay it self off any way. And MCM lads are full time working part time cars working normal people.
I dont know why but that opening montage always hits me super hard. I grew up playing hockey. I had a couple seasons playing on a serious team, but most of the time id just play rec league, pick up, or on my own on lakes or any ice i could find. It was all the same to me. I didnt need to be a pro to feel good on the ice. But as i grew up, i had to spend more time working or going to school and hockey just died for me. And whenever i go into my basement and see my bag of hockey gear, still packed like im ready to go play, i start to miss it so much it hurts. The drift scene in the 90s reminds me so much of that. These groups of people would organize events, have trophies made and build their cars all on their own time and budget. They did it all for the fun and the love of the sport. Any rivalries were probably in good nature. And seeing these cars its easy to tell what happened. One too many fender benders, or a broken part they said theyd fix later, and they go park it in the yard, fully intending to fix it up and get it back onto the mountain and hit the roads again. But they grew up too, and way too many of those cars are probably never gonna move again. I really hope that the next generations grow up to appreciate this kind of scene. And if even a few of them buy one of these old beasts and give em some new life, it would at least mean the scene stays alive. It'll never be what it was and that sucks. But it'll still be there
Just buy things from their shop, I always use adblock because I hate ads but I still really want to support them so I just buy a bunch of stuff in their shop which not only they make a lot more money from, I also get a genuine mighty car mods product in return. MAAD!
This is what automotive entertainment should look like... it just goes to prove that you dont need million dollar cars and fancy equipment to make good content. Keep it up guys !
I wish we had stuff like this in the states. Everything is so ego driven, you always have to be better then the next guy and it ruins so many car related things. Rather it be meets or cruises, it always gets shut down by some idiot or some fight by two moronic muscle head. I admire the Japanese car scene.
Exactly my thoughts. Whether someone has an s15 with a pristine low mileage body and an rb25det swap or a beat up old jzx90 with only the most basic of mods, everyone appreciates that these cars are just a reflection of you and your tastes and that theyre meant to be enjoyed. No judgement or competition, just people coming together because they all love the same thing
@@thecanucklehead3034 I love seeing the ingenuity and creative things that people do with their cars period. I saw a guy today in an Eagle Talon that had completely redone the engine compartment. It was beautiful chrome pipes everywhere, colored flexible tubing, and custom turbo. He complained about not painting the valve cover yet which was scratched up to hell but I thought it looked bad ass. He put so much time into making everything right that I saw my cars in it.
This is my all time favorite car film, i am not kidding in any way, i watch this maybe every 2 months and i smile just as much as the first 200 times, these times i just sing along when the tunes pop on, love you guys please never stop making videos!
This is what cars are all about its not about power or how fast they go or how expensive it is about the soul and the passion for the love of cars thank you Mighty car mods’s and thank you Japan
Rewatching this movie so once in a while keeps my spark for car and drift culture going and makes me proud to love such an art as this. MCM has some of the best movies hands down!
I lived in Japan for 4 years in Misawa located in the Aomori Prefecture. Between the Evos and Skylines, the beautiful scenery and some of the most caring, respectful, giving and trustworthy people ive ever met in my life; I wish i could have stayed forever
After being inundated with super cars/rebuilds, I recently trusted TH-cam's recommendation for MCM. These guys, their projects, their antics are....priceless. I have so much to binge watch!
It's rare to see that car now as it's really old. Even if you find one, it's either in pieces or it's a rust bucket. That actually looks amazing despite dusty.
Guys this was an awesome episode of MCM! You're spot on about how the car culture brings us together. Outstanding display of what's it all about...many thanks for what you all do for car enthusiasts...Cheers
Mightycarmods is a true inspiration to me. I wish there was a community and enthustiasts like these guys in the states. THIS is what its all about. Not judging one another and getting into trouble. At least its good to know that something like this exists. Thank you Mightycarmods. Truely amazing.
If only the world was like the Japanese drift/stance scene where we all have a borrow and trust policy. The world would be such a better place. A lot more fun too xD
I think I belong in Japan.... We need more honest people here in the US that if you were to go up to the mountains your generator would still be there, but I'm from San Diego California and you can't even walk to the store without the cops asking you what you are doing...Great music by the way!! RWD FTW!!!!
I can't describe in words how moving it was to know that there are still small corners of the world with great morale and values like this. This truly is one of the best things I've ever seen
i wish we had this kind of car culture in the uk (i mean the entirety of japan's car scene) shit sucks over here, we've got chavs thinking their shite corsa made from halfords parts is nice first world problems :(
i live in the middle of nowhere int he south west of england and the japanes car scene is fairly stong, modiefied evos everywhere, but there really isnt the comradory or fun of it that japan has
well I live in central europe.. we have rusty corsas, ladas and shit ton of barely runing bmws.. Also people who can afford better cars only tune them visually and in a very untasteful way.. and they're usually can't even drive well.. on the other hand I have a Daihatsu kei car, which I love (party because of MCM) but I often get laughed at and asked why I didn't buy a bmw.. I really wish car scene here would be like in Japan or Australia..
These are the kinds of memories you'll never forget. When you come together for something you love, that's when we see the best of humanity. Love the channel and definitely loved the film!
It's crazy to think something as simple as cars can have such an impact. Amazing to see people that don't even share the same language can still connect and have lasting friendships. Look how far we have come.
i really love this episode guys. youve really put into perspective what cars and culture really means, with some elegant video editing to go with it. you guys are the new top gear for real . thank you
Ive watched most of the MCM feature films, and I always come back to this one. Def my fav of all the films...the friendship gets me every time. Thank you MCM.
MCM > Roadkill Roadkill is all about half-assing things and destroying muscle cars that could've been taken back from their sorry state and turned into cool rides. But they fall into the wrong owners' hands and are now somehow a joke to be played out in front of a camera while their engines give out a last hurrah. MCM however, despite originally making ironic content occasionally, they actually produce real, meaningful, and quality content, especially TV length stuff. 26:11 is probably the best way to describe the feeling. MCM has a sense of sympathy Roadkill doesn't.
I'm never one to be corny, but damn... once they hit that private spot at the end, the way everyone had a constant smile on their face is just the best! 👏👏
Turbos and Temples and Kei to the City were both great, this however seemed really forced and rushed with no clear goal and I'm not entirely sure it covered any new ground... even the 88s didn't quite seem to be sure what you were trying to achieve, however you all seemed to have fun at the end. I'm just glad season 7 is here though.
Christmas Crustacean It's just not the main focus of the new season. They're probably putting more effort into filming and editing all the upcoming episodes.
No clear goal. So what is the red car at the end, if not a goal?. I mean, did you even watch it? Did you even sit back, shut of your small brain and enjoy what's in front of you? I doubt that too. Not being personal, just sharing some constructive criticism.
jkflorida2013 damn right mate.....go to japan for a mount pick some jdm car work on it have fun make friends and come back home to die peacefully.......i guess i am starting my japanese lessons tomorow....
Loved the video. I just wouldn't have it that low; if your scraping your exhaust your too low. But the end I really enjoyed and I wish we had this in the US...go to a hill or mountain have a unlocked shed with some supplies and you just barrow/replenish them when your done drifting. Total respect to everyone and everything. Here in the US; do this and the police will come and bust you for it. Hell they will even bust you for heavily modifying your ride.
They can't bust you for shit if it's all legal. :) Look up the RS211. That's a Lotus Elise man! hahaha. And if you go to an abandoned parking lot, you can drift, but it must be abandoned. Or if the owners are okay with it. It's just people tend to be dicks here...
***** In the US you can sue someone else because you did something stupid. Most other countries would laugh you out of the courtroom if you got hurt doing something ignorant and tried to sue someone else about it.
Even if yo could go out into the country and have fun without worrying about the cops you know all the stuff in the shed would end up getting stolen. That or broken and nobody would replace it. I would love it if it was like that here in the States though.
I'm as far away from Australian or Japanese car culture living in the United States, but I'd love to go to Japan to experience the car culture there! jaaaa als hätten die hier nicht genug Probleme. Wir tun ja keinem etwas zuleide
jaaaa als hätten die hier nicht genug Probleme. Wir tun ja keinem etwas zuleide
Agreed. I wish there were more clubs like them. :(
Just as bad in the UK insurance on a 1.1 Peugeot 206 £2000.00 per year
in my contry you cant even modify your car.. if it isnt as it came out the factory the police will confiscate it
Soundtrack is OUT NOW on iTunes itunes.apple.com/au/album/chasing-midnight-ep/id981952367
Mighty Car Mods u guys r just awesome and are exactly what the car scene should be and show what it should be this video really makes me want to visit japan for the cars and the awesome people. If more people where like you we wouldn't have such a bad rep. and great job on the soundtrack MOOG!
***** i agree inspiring stuff guys :)
Mighty Car Mods Any chance you guys can throw this up somewhere streamable? Bandcamp? Soundcloud?
Great music
Might as Well the point isnt to get free music...the point is to but the music from itunes and support the guys that do awesome work.
this is what has really pulled me back to cars, they aren't just boxes on wheels that sometimes are driven in races like F1, GT3, GT2, they are ways of life, languages and a bonding even if you are completely different you will almost certainly make a friend. if you aren't, you are doing it wrong. I love the car culture of japan and almost makes me want to learn it myself, go there and have the most fun of my life. None of my friends understand this but i am sure you will
So true

I was 15 years old when I watched this. Now im 24 years old crazy best Episode.
We need McM and Noriyaro together in one episode 😶
yesss wth hell that has to happen dude
damn three years ago huh
that hasnt happened yet has it?
@@mendon time flies
I wouldnt do that if I were you
i think they're actually the same person. i mean, we've never seen them together in the same video. coincidence? i think not!
i can honestly say, and it pains me to say this but its true, i really do enjoy MCM over topgear :D!!
And MCM lads are full time working part time cars working normal people.
if top gear did more goofy and cheap cars then i would perfer top gear :d
mcm>topgear ...any day every day
Your profile pic is of the Stig mate. Also Top Gear is no more.
i love car culture.
But it'll still be there
I am genuinely sorry for watching this with adblock enabled.
As am I.
Same here.. I quickly turned it off & re-watched twice for my disrespect.
same
Just buy things from their shop, I always use adblock because I hate ads but I still really want to support them so I just buy a bunch of stuff in their shop which not only they make a lot more money from, I also get a genuine mighty car mods product in return. MAAD!
Yeah, I have bought many stickers from them. I don't feel bad about it anymore :)
They're such a wholesome group... wish I could find a group of people like this with this kind of passion for cars in England.
😊
This is what automotive entertainment should look like... it just goes to prove that you dont need million dollar cars and fancy equipment to make good content. Keep it up guys !
This video is emotional man. Some beautiful moments like when the little one is helping you polish the wheels. Magical
Can we have some MCM/88's stickers? Would be sick
Sheriff Industries Check out the MCM shop, they are available there and can post worldwide
Mighty Car Mods Ohh sweet. Never seen these. I already have my car plastered in MCM stickers! :D
No judgement or competition, just people coming together because they all love the same thing
same shit in France ... They don't have the "spirit" of cars' passion.
@@thecanucklehead3034 exactly how it should be
Yuuuus :D The wait is over!
***** seems like forever. didn't know you was into this kinda thing wip been a sub to your channel for a long while
This is my all time favorite car film, i am not kidding in any way, i watch this maybe every 2 months and i smile just as much as the first 200 times, these times i just sing along when the tunes pop on, love you guys please never stop making videos!
Man, the production value is over the top! Great work, guys, I can't wait for the rest of the season!
Guys, I loved it. What an awesome way to kick off season 7!
Agreed c:
This is what cars are all about its not about power or how fast they go or how expensive it is about the soul and the passion for the love of cars thank you Mighty car mods’s and thank you Japan
Rewatching this movie so once in a while keeps my spark for car and drift culture going and makes me proud to love such an art as this. MCM has some of the best movies hands down!
When Moog and Marty say the new season starts on April 1st but you're in the US fuck yeah!!! One day early.
Wot April 1st in Australia is when they released it, not a day early...
I know, but technically it is not a day early..
Still watching this in 2019. Love this feature film. Love the cars and music
I love the 88s man, they always look like they're having such a good time
5 years later and I genuinely think this is still your best work yet.
It's peak comfy.
I lived in Japan for 4 years in Misawa located in the Aomori Prefecture. Between the Evos and Skylines, the beautiful scenery and some of the most caring, respectful, giving and trustworthy people ive ever met in my life; I wish i could have stayed forever
This makes me cry. Such a nice atmosphere in the evening with the fireworks and so on. Beautiful, guys!
There is so much good stuff to learn from Japanese people.
There's a lot to learn from every people, but only so few groups within those cultures could aspire to be so transparent, and friendly.
rushanz n I like their "do your hobby , immerse yourself in it and have a shit load of fun" attitude. That's what it's all about
Kevin Kingsleigh Except for the whole "live in hierarchical society and suicide if you fail" part
ROTARY ENGINE! VTEC!
Yep,Marty and MOOG have been Japanese for a while now
After being inundated with super cars/rebuilds, I recently trusted TH-cam's recommendation for MCM. These guys, their projects, their antics are....priceless. I have so much to binge watch!
Wish I could add a like to this every time I watch it. No matter how low you feel, this brings a smile to any face, anytime.
When I saw that GC10 Skyline... I melted.
Omg My jaw dropped when I saw that
It's rare to see that car now as it's really old. Even if you find one, it's either in pieces or it's a rust bucket. That actually looks amazing despite dusty.
+Speed Reaper they really aren't that rare, check out wasabicars on you tube
Yeah, that Hako-Ska was beautiful.
where is it in the video?
Guys this was an awesome episode of MCM! You're spot on about how the car culture brings us together. Outstanding display of what's it all about...many thanks for what you all do for car enthusiasts...Cheers
i have tears in my eyes when i see a 180sx like that. Im just so in love with the 180sx i can't explain it with words. This car is my world
I would not mind every season starting like this. Cool to see the 88s again.
I need that brand of spray paint cuz I couldn't believe the actual gloss y'all achieved
I love playing chasing midnight when I drive with friends or alone at night
Mightycarmods is a true inspiration to me. I wish there was a community and enthustiasts like these guys in the states. THIS is what its all about. Not judging one another and getting into trouble. At least its good to know that something like this exists. Thank you Mightycarmods. Truely amazing.
If only the world was like the Japanese drift/stance scene where we all have a borrow and trust policy. The world would be such a better place. A lot more fun too xD
Finally! But this video is totally worth the wait! Keep up the good work MCM!
I think I belong in Japan.... We need more honest people here in the US that if you were to go up to the mountains your generator would still be there, but I'm from San Diego California and you can't even walk to the store without the cops asking you what you are doing...Great music by the way!! RWD FTW!!!!
Just use a combination lock on the shed and only give the combination to people you trust.
KiwiPowerNZ People would bolt cut the fuck out of dat shed.
I can't describe in words how moving it was to know that there are still small corners of the world with great morale and values like this. This truly is one of the best things I've ever seen
I love the ending (last 4/5 minutes) of this film so much!
Loved the ending as well. Words I'll always remember.
i wish we had this kind of car culture in the uk (i mean the entirety of japan's car scene)
shit sucks over here, we've got chavs thinking their shite corsa made from halfords parts is nice
first world problems :(
Benjameme isnt japan th first world too?
i live in the middle of nowhere int he south west of england and the japanes car scene is fairly stong, modiefied evos everywhere, but there really isnt the comradory or fun of it that japan has
Martin Cazenave i wasnt implying it wasnt but reading back my comment it seems like i was :z
cambs has a good gang who are well accepting of anything moded and skid like. same with all the fens aswell.
well I live in central europe.. we have rusty corsas, ladas and shit ton of barely runing bmws..
Love it. MCM films are always fun and they always make you feel like you're part of the team. Happy new years guys.
This is still possibly the greatest video on TH-cam, even in 2021!!
Just finished watching. That was bloody brilliant stuff guys.
4 years already, time flies.

9yrs now, it's amazing how long TH-cam has been alive for. Will be a sad day when this site closes.
MCM, you guys put so much work into these videos. I would honestly pay to see them ha! you really deserve a spot on TV.
These are the kinds of memories you'll never forget. When you come together for something you love, that's when we see the best of humanity. Love the channel and definitely loved the film!
I love your show. I especially like how happy Nakarusan was to see you guys
Absolutely fantastic, I love the japanese way of thinking. Wish I could go there and drift forever!
40 min video! here we go. welcome back MCM.
It's crazy to think something as simple as cars can have such an impact. Amazing to see people that don't even share the same language can still connect and have lasting friendships. Look how far we have come.
i really love this episode guys. youve really put into perspective what cars and culture really means, with some elegant video editing to go with it. you guys are the new top gear for real . thank you
This was such a good film. I love you guys so much. You're one of the biggest reasons I love cars so much.
like wise great passion and hobby
Words at the end nearly made me cry, I feel the same way about the music, amazing piece of documentary guys.
Ive watched most of the MCM feature films, and I always come back to this one. Def my fav of all the films...the friendship gets me every time. Thank you MCM.
MCM > Top Gear
k
forever
MCM > Roadkill
Roadkill is all about half-assing things and destroying muscle cars that could've been taken back from their sorry state and turned into cool rides.
I like how the automatically generated subtitles replace "Law" with "Lore" due to the Australian accent
Wow such a powerful message, Japanese culter is absolutely beautiful. This made me tear up, absolutely amazing.
No clear goal?
- Buy car online.
- Go to Japan.
- Fuck around with car.
- Do skids.
Pretty clear cut right there.
Christmas Crustacean It's just not the main focus of the new season. They're probably putting more effort into filming and editing all the upcoming episodes.
I'm not complaining, just levelling some constructive criticism.
No clear goal. So what is the red car at the end, if not a goal?. I mean, did you even watch it? Did you even sit back, shut of your small brain and enjoy what's in front of you? I doubt that too. Not being personal, just sharing some constructive criticism.
jadies87 Nah you're being an ass.
That's it I'm done! I'm moving to Japan! The people the cars it all seems so awesome!!!
thats exactly what i tell my self every time i watch mcm "japan" episodes
Dominik Stunjek I really want to do it. At least go for a month and come back with a sweet car. Looks like its time to learn how to speak Japanese.
jkflorida2013 damn right mate.....go to japan for a mount pick some jdm car work on it have fun make friends and come back home to die peacefully.......i guess i am starting my japanese lessons tomorow....
You'd better have a lot of cash if you want to buy a car there unless you buy a turd like the one on that video.
Warren Yaro umm didnt u watch kei to the city r32 GTR $10,000 aus dollars. They go for 15-25 depend on condition in austraila
all we need now is "MCM visit the Kanjo"
Yes please
I so much enjoyed watching this episode as a Japanese. And it is great to see them working on the car despite the language barrier.
Most other countries would laugh you out of the courtroom if you got hurt doing something ignorant and tried to sue someone else about it.
jeepmanxj In the US, a burglar can sue you if they get injured...
Mel Laknanurak yes they can.
Even if yo could go out into the country and have fun without worrying about the cops you know all the stuff in the shed would end up getting stolen. That or broken and nobody would replace it.
I would love it if it was like that here in the States though.
Only if the police every where else could do that and leave people alone and let them do some skids in a car park.
"Is it turbo?"
no
*snarls and leaves*
lmaoooo
I'm as far away from Australian or Japanese car culture living in the United States, but I'd love to go to Japan to experience the car culture there! This video practically put me in tears I just love how the car culture brings people together!
I'm a real car guy as well as these guys. Maaaaddd! Chopped!! haha yeah
