For anyone that wants the code for the skip to end credits: Move cursor to Super Machoman, and then hold L (Left shoulder button), and press right once. Then press start.
To add onto this, the code is incredibly specific. You _need_ to do it exactly as stated, so you can't hold L beforehand. The game checks the conditions every time you push the d-pad, and will then "expire" the L hold in the same way moves can be buffered by holding the inputs beforehand but don't keep reading afterwards.
Also worth noting there exists a buffer for countering Nick Bruiser's leap attack (Left Jab --> Right Jab), which is really only useful if player 2 opens a phase/counter-phase with the leaping attack.

I have doubts about that myself-I bet a sufficiently good player could find a pattern to punish the heal move with a stun lock to dizzy. Macho is the real nightmare with those instant punches. Clown is a much scarier opponent with a heal, especially since his heal move can also KO Mac
@@mathphysicsnerd Macho man is beatable. The main thing is keeping your guard up and ducking whenever possible. In super punch-out you can hold the block at any time and it will keep it that way.

Remember, zallard already demonstrated in the initial test stream that if Macho gets an uppercut through, Mac can be stun locked with buffers into a knockdown Also, I believe zallard has specifically said the block mechanic is different for Narcis, in that it does need to be timed. I vaguely recall some weirdness with Clown too, but that might be based on balls which can't happen with 2P

I probably didn't think to test that because I kept manipulating the early delay on the uppercut from Bob while TASing him, and it appears like he'll only ever do the hop forward after swaying to the opposite side of the ring, so it never even struck me to check for that.
It's wierd that the 2P mode doesnt use a profile, so best times arent saved. So when you skip to the credits, it doesnt have any times saved so it says that the best time is 3'00"00, which is impossible. And when it shows your name as a Special Thanks and an ending name, it shows *Unknown. Thought this was worth mentioning as it's interesting how the game handles not being signed in.
3'00"00 isn't technically impossible i think, if I recall correctly I have managed to get that time in a few fights out of boredom but it's just very tricky to get the timing down, it also has to be a TKO otherwise the opponent stands up and you lose a frame later.

You can only really control the opponent's guard, and most of the moves they throw out. Whether or not the opponents can get up are dictated by the usual rules under normal play (health remaining before knockdown blow, whether or not the knockdown blow was a super, the time elapsed in the phase, and how much damage 1p sustained)

Nope, 2p doesn’t have control of their ability to get back up or not.
It's not 100% control. Movement and counters are automatic, and Mad Clown can't do his ball attack since it's a 3-part move.

The jab counter to Hoy's staff rush always looks contrived to me, like the animations don't match up.
Well the tas does counter it on the first possible frame, which adds to the weirdness of the animation. It looks even worse in 0.25x speed
