Catching Fish Over Low Tide At Dymchurch. 4K

- So after a week away from the Shore, I headed down to Dymchurch to try and catch fish over the low water. And catch fish is what I did! I had a rough idea of when the low tide time was so I just aimed to get down to the mark 3 hrs before and fish a 6 hour session, 3 hrs down and 3 hrs back up. The weather was lovely and the sea conditions were ideal for wading. I was joined by Pete on the sands and the venue choice paid off instantly as I was straight into a fish! Pete and Myself had very contrasting sessions which is strange considering we were only fishing 10 metres apart, but that's fishing! This video has a lot of helpful and useful advice on baiting up, rigs and tackle used to target fish around the Kent coast.

Enjoy your videos Greg, I now live in Sydney but grew up at Littlestone - fished a lot off that shingle beach in the 80s, eels, ling, pout and whiting and dabs back then, but we only fished high tide...and with a tilly lamp at night. Best fish 17 pound cod, off St Mary's bay in 1980.
What I'd give for a 17lb cod off the shore!😳🎣

Just had a week in North Norfolk, managed to fish Hunstanton beach for a few hours,2 small schoolies, and a dogfish.
Always nice just to get out on the beach.

There isn't any specific parking it's more of a case of finding a side Rd, parking up and walking over to the beach but I've never had a problem parking and it's well worth fishing wayne, as you can see🤣👍

Great video Greg , I fished over high water on friday 21st july towards St Marys Bay . Had Baby Rays,Sole,Founder, a little Pup And Bass and a proper ray. Very under rated venue. keep up the great work , Cheers

Nice video Greg & well done on the fish. I fished just along from you at Hythe last Monday & had Soles, pouting, Dogfish, Rays & Strap Congers. I definitely believe fishing is picking up in the area & will fish well after this latest blow.

Been watching your videos for sometime and always enjoyable. In hospital at the moment having some chemo so keeping me entertained. I live broadstairs and have had some success bass fishing at dumpton gap. Bit of a hit and hope merchant and can only cast 50/60 yards. Probably the same age as Pete so would ask do I need to be able to cast 100 yards plus to be more successful. Thanks for all your tips. How did you break your finger. Regards Dave
The finger break was caused by a bad temper mixed with stupidity 🤦 we'll leave that one there🤣

I've never fished dumpton gap and really should give it a go.
Distance just adds another string to your bow. Fishing low tide you really want Distance to get to the feed zone and Distance gives you a chance at fish that feed that little bit further out. But bass fishing is close in, I've had rays and smooth hound at 30yds so it's not all about whacking it to the horizon👍
