At least you didn’t blank, and I always feel smug if I see the rain coming and make it back to the car before it starts, but not so much if I don’t 😂😂🎣🐟
That underwater footage of the thornback going away was cool , well done ,usual quality watch cheers , I've been 3 times lately and blanked every time , argh
Hi Greg. Nice video as always. Great underwater footage.Nice to see you both avoided a blank. Fished West Bay Westgate last Friday, little schoolie, and doggy, very quiet, but nice just being out by the surfs edge. Take care buddy, best wishes to Pete. Tight lines, Paul.
Well done on the Thornback Greg , we fished Dungeness the other week , I had my best Bass 45cm 2 and a half lb , I was well chuffed , It was my only fish of the day but still enjoyed the day👍🎣
Nice one Greg. I used to fish that beach in the 90's and some good fish were had in the winter. It was massively snaggy and we lost loads of gear there. A nice deep venue.
Great video guys 👍🏻 One or two fish per session is about average for the shores at the moment definitely more coming in off the boats & 100% they are out in deeper & cooler water been to a few venues during the week had one bass on a lure where i see you last & the rest was a dog fest 😖
@@gsp give me a shout if you need a boat buddy mate or i'v just got my new sib I'm waiting to get out myself again just looking out for the perfect day been a bit breezy the last few days.
Thanks for sharing Greg. Not much happening recently mate. I went the same evening as you, Thursday. Went to Clacton & only had one bite which resulted in a small starry smoothound around 4lbs. So it seems like one fish being as good as it gets at the moment. Desperately hoping that things will improve. Looking forward to your next post.
Nice one Lads. Really must give Shalespeare Beach a go, were do you park? Going to give Thurs 6th a go But they are giving 50mph SW on Weds so should stir the water up a bit. Have'nt decided on the venue yet. Edit Just looked (XC Weather) now showing max 30 on Weds 4.
A silver Bar for Pedro and a thorny for you not to bad really. The water temps are warm already for this time of the year I think the fish have kept off shore in the cooler waters
Something definitely isn't as should be🤔 the fishing does seem to be off. I would have thought the warmer waters would have brought the summer species in earlier but not really
@@gsp I noticed in the solent when the temps get above 16 then the fish moved off to deeper waters where the temps were cooler and 18 the hounds disappeared pretty much well the larger ones did the 5lb hounds stayed around but the larger 12lb plus went off shore to find the crabs who didn't like warm waters
@@baggers- Met Office said a couple of weeks back said sea temps were on average 5 deg C warmer than the usual for the time of year. All the way along the Channel and along the Atlantic costs of UK & France and Spain as well.
What are your thoughts on circle hooks? I started using them and they’ve improved my catch rates, almost all fish hook themselves and in a nice location to the side of the mouth, but baiting up can sometimes be a bit harder
Yeah baiting up worms on a circle hook is very difficult and i tend to no use them for small baits but if I'm using live bait or live prawn that's all I do use. They are very good for lip hooking 🎣🎣
You sound as excited as me when i manage to get a rig back out if the snags😂. Great video again mate. Lovely ray, ive never had a thornback myself. Are they around all year? Do they twnd to be anywhere specific as in sand or rocks etc. Cheers buddy👍👍🎣🎣
Hi Dylan. It's always a great sense of achievement when you win against a snag🤦🤣 I feel like I've out smarted the sea🤣 Thornies are around all year in kent and they tend to like clear ground. 15yrs ago they used to quiet a thing to target and catch but now they are everywhere
Aram has fallen out of love with uk fishing😢 high bait prices and very hit and miss fishing. Nothing like what he was used to when living in the canaries🤦🤣

Yeah it's great beating the rain🤣🤣
Fishing with mates, not raining, not blowing a gale, seems pretty good, tight lines, thanks for sharing.
Cheers Taz👍👍 I guess you're right. Not that bad I suppose

I did find a few snaggy bits but not impossible to fish . I does seem quite deep. Definitely need to give it a go in winter
As always nice video mate glad use both caught tight lines

Great video to wake up to on a Sunday Morning, very enjoyable watch.

Parking is on the road of Lord Warden Square. Right next to the beach. Its well worth a fish you do never know what's about

It’s mad to think I have swam to that massive pole thing
Yeah that is slightly mad😳

Could we fish together at Shakespeare sometime and we make a vid cause I live in Dover and I’ve got some rods
I never actually plan my local sessions to know when I'm down there. If I do plan one I will let you know👍👍
