    Well done Glen 👍🏻
    Out of the doldrums at last!
    Nice dinner there. We used to boil them in salt water quickly to get the skin off then use it for keeping the cats off the vegetable patch.

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In what way would it keep cats off the veg?

    • @blanketyblank5022

      @@gsp we used to fork the skins into the soil and let it rot down. Was the only thing we tried that ever worked

    Thanks for the video, Greg. That looked like a good session - I went to the Samphire-end of The Warren last week. The weather was too calm and the bites were non-existent! I had a go lure fishing at the west side of Mermaid Bay (Mermaid cafe, Folkestone) yesterday evening, as the light was fading. I didn't get anything, but it was a lovely evening and I only stayed for an hour or so. There were people still swimming at 8pm!

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im gonna head down to the Warren soon and give it a go. Hopefully a nicw evening high

    Nice one . I fished Hythe a couple of weeks ago, sunrise over low . I was back into town a bit , Victoria road west Parade. Lots of scrapping dogfish and a couple of eels. Doggies were hitting mackerel baits like a train. I was happy with that. If your on holiday there are some quality places for eats particularly breakfast,and it's a short walk to the shops for non anglers in the family.

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah i do like hythe but its just one of those places i never do that well at. But its a good deep beach for fishing and as you say some good places to eat.
      I dont mind catching doggies either👍

    Hey ,have you ever fished Margate pier very good spot for codlin at the moment using yellow tails

    • @PeekaBooM89
      @PeekaBooM89 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would love to come do a session with you one day.just to get back out there and fish in spots I've never done too 👍 been watching you a little while now and also picked up a few tips on the way

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Where exactly do you mean? There is only a small harbour arm in margate and a larger harbour arm in ramsgate.
      The whole of the kent coast is plagued with whiting atm and catching a cod of any size is harder than finding a needle in a haystack

    • @PeekaBooM89
      @PeekaBooM89 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes on the little Margate arm there

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im always about fishing here there and everywhere in kent and the south east. Margate is great for bass in the summer, early mornings, you can get some decent size fish👍

    Hi greg , ragworm doing the trick in part one what happens in part 2???? Looking forward to it. Looks like a great session. I was bk out on tuesday in the humber ,not good me and my friend blanked ..it was crab city. There was about 6 or 7 other anglers and only saw 2 small flounders caught. It was glorious weather and still enjoyed the day. All the best greg from costa del grimsby lol.

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Costa del grimsby really does have a ring to it😂. Rays on ragworm is not what im used to🤦‍♂️

  • @chrischambers5466
    @chrischambers5466 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Enjoyed that👍 any fish is a result I think (except nuisance species like Great White Sharks) if you dont catch, then it was just casting practice😀

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Greg, stupid question but what do you wrap your big baits with. I'l just get my coat.

    • @gsp
      @gsp  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just with standard bait elastic. That's it. You can get it in any sea fishing tackle shop or online👍

  • @timfromammoniteknives4212
    @timfromammoniteknives4212 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’ve still not caught any rays off the beach. ☹️

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a bit of luck involved but make sure you're at the right mark for rays, make sure you're on a medium size tide (not to big, not to small) and bait presentatuon is key. Right rig and bait neatly presented should get you a ray tim👍 i always use a pulley dropper rig

    • @timfromammoniteknives4212
      @timfromammoniteknives4212 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gsp I’m generally using a pulley rig for most of my long distance fishing, tho I do get in a mess with a pulley dropper…. I go to the right marks, just possibly on the wrong tides. Gotta Just keep trying! 👍👍
