  • Mazda is increasing its footprint in Europe with the introduction of the all-new 2025 Mazda CX-80. Following the release of the CX-60, this model has a more roomy three-row seating layout as well as amenities targeted for bigger families or people in need of extra space. The Mazda CX-80 was built to allow third-row seating, giving it a significant presence on the road. It is substantially bigger than the CX-60, measuring 4,995 mm long and 1,710 mm height. The design principle, 'Graceful Toughness,' mixes strong architectural features with the beautiful aesthetics that define Mazda's portfolio. The SUV has a strongly sculpted front face and brilliant side window moldings, which contribute to its aggressive posture. Unlike the wider-body 2024 CX-90, which appeals to American demands for larger cars, the CX-80 has a sleeker profile that is more suited to the smaller urban roadways seen in Europe and Asia. Both models include high-end features including huge alloy wheels and expensive color options like Artisan Red and Melting Copper, which accentuate their stylish exteriors. The CX-80's interior includes a broad dashboard that continues into door trims, accented by continuous lines via air vents, which increase the feeling of space. This feature is similar to its American equivalent, except the layout and materials are tailored to appeal to distinct consumer sensibilities. The Takumi grade has white Nappa leather upholstery with maple wood trim, bringing a touch of traditional Japanese craftsmanship to both models. Both cars have extensive technology integrations, including as Alexa voice control for navigation and entertainment systems, as well as wireless smartphone charging options. These features are designed for current consumers who seek connectivity and ease when traveling. The Mazda CX-80 comes with an e-Skyactiv PHEV system that combines a direct injection petrol engine and an electric motor to provide a total output of 327 PS/241 kW. It has strong environmental credentials, with CO2 emissions just shy of 36 g/km under WLTP norms. The diesel edition has a straight-six engine and mild hybrid technology, demonstrating Mazda's dedication to economy yet powerful driving experiences. This differs subtly but significantly from the CX-90's offerings, which are primarily focused on higher horsepower outputs catering to performance-oriented drivers in North America, where road conditions frequently allow for full utilization of these capabilities, as opposed to the denser traffic scenarios typically encountered in European cities.
