The weird graphics issue you talked about is caused by using the wrong video settings. you can find it in RetroArch settings

Retroarch is confusing, but honestly I'd not have anything else because of it's power.
I just wish it was more optimized on these consoles.

I do use RA on the Odin, but only for early consoles... for everything that needs tinkering I wouldn't even know where to start in RetroArch or if it's possible at all. 🤷
So I use standalone emulators from psp on and upwards.

The ultra mini devices make my hands hurt if used for an extended period of time too. The screens are also small for sports games (i.e. NHL '94). Thanks for the recommendation on this bigger device -- especially at the price point!

I remember trying to get the Sega Saturn core to run with no success on my RP3 plus.
I ended up just downloading a stand alone emulator. Retroarch look fancy ngl. But I can't play higher games because of the lack of cores.

I've had the black version for more than a month now and honestly I haven't had many problems playing games except on the psp emulator where I need to adjust frameskip based on each game if it's a harder game to run. If you change the core of n64 to mupen 64 plus stand alone all games are up-res and run flawlessly, been getting through ocarina of time and konkers bad fur day with 4× resolution. And with dreamcast, I use the fly cast-sa standalone and also no issue and no need to frameskip. I had the issue with retroarch but I just reflashed the OS card and I was back to normal. I think it had to do with a setting I messed with in the retroarch menu

Just a question: if I want to get the latest version of JELOS, can I flash it to the first microSD then insert it into the unit with the second microSD (that contains games) also inserted? Will JELOS delete the games in the second microSD upon initialization? Or should I remove the second microSD while the new version of JELOS initializes? Thanks in advance.

I bought it today. Don't buy it. Get a Miyoo or rp 2. Basically the same thing. None of best stuff (PSP Saturn) works.

@@jjwhy321y3 You need to change the o/s or firmware. Someone is running psp on theirs. FRom the research i looked at awhile back, the x55 has better screen and rp2 can handle harder games. The x55 might be cheaper as well. I bought an even cheaper handheld and play the games that it handles and if i choose to get something better, all that wear and tear will always be on the cheaper handheld and not on that highend system.

Thanks for the review I guess I won't be buying now one of them because everyone I seen they have a lot of problems playing the games I do not want to spend that much money to get one that don't play the games so I will just save my money and just pay my old video games I have I'm a old systems

Got it today. Tested 2 Saturns game. Both lost sound then froze after 15 minutes. Almost same w PSP. Kinda PO'd. Do NOT by this for Saturn. I own a Miyoo Mini and Retroid 2. This doesn't beat those (minus screen size). None of the good consoles run.

For that price might aswell just get a OLED Vita. Modding it is easier than ever. Native Vita/PSP and ports of PS2 games.

I fell like not having analog stick on it is a deal breaker, I would rather wait probably next year for the next miyoo mini with Analog lol
