I have a Suggestion. Next time you go to the parking lot for speed runs. bring a piece of plywood and use that for a ramp. it will cover a much wider area and reduce the risk of what happened to you lol

I have a rustler and I use plywood in my back yard.

That looks like monofilament line and that stuff will stretch with the tires you should get braided line it will be a bit more pricey but it won’t stretch at all

I was thinking lock wire as used on racing cars and motorcycles to keep nuts in place. A lockwire tool will even do all the tightening correctly so you are not having to use a knot.

Got them Graphene Panthers now Kevin 💪 👊 They are EPIC Lipo's, Typhon goona be a different animal.
I used 3 wraps of 65lb test braided fishing line. Been holding up for 3 years now on my Tekno MT410.
Those Graphine 4s 5000 packs are the same ones I use in my MT. I've had good luck with them so far.
I believe you’re going to want larger tires there kev that will help with top speed and will lift the car up a little bit more for off road, also would recommend a front wing ! That will push the front down as well! Such a cool vid kev !

When you get going that fast it’s so easy to loose control and damage your rig.
Tried some skate park bashing with my Monster Slash 4x4 VXL(Stampede tires and Proline Fusion body). Let's just say I didn't break anything but the landings were bad. I think I landed on all 6 sides at some point and had bad bounce when I did land on all 4 tires. You make it look easy but I guess it's experience and tuning. Think I'll tinker with it but crawling is definitely easier. Thanks for the videos they were my inspiration to try jumping.

This is exactly why I think FPV cam is a good idea for jumps, I think it will be easier to see and judge your approach accuracy.
Also you should try leaving I'm the foam from proline on top of using a cap pack and spider wire for wheel banding

you need foam tires for a better handling and grip contact GT tires very good for speed runs just make sure your wheels are tighten up

Use bead lock steel belted tires, it will really reduce the ballooning and the tire will stay on the wheels

I have 2 things that may help you instead of monofilament fishing line ( which is what you used) try spider wire its braided line that has almost zero stretch vs mono line and your vehicle cutting off try running a cap pack that usually comes with the hobbywing motor esc combos it will stop the cutting out on speed runs
Just rebuilt my xmaxx tires, boiled them and then used a curved scalpel. Works like a charm. I use closed cell medium density foam, 2" thick for any xmaxx owners out there. Its better than stock by far

You need to try vulcanizing rubber cement and Gorilla Glue duct tape for tire belting. Much stronger hold, lasts too!

You need like a airstrip for testing the cars on road. The typhon didn’t even seem to get to its top speed before you crashed

You should take belted on road tires and cut the bead of and put them inside the of road tire. No idea if it would work but might as well try it
Check out powerhobby Scorpions, might need longer arms but they're amazing tires (belted too)
Buy a set of 1/8 foam on road wheels and tires and cut your own tread pattern. Worth a shot at this point.
Quick recommendation, use braided fishing line rather than monofilament or fluorocarbon. It stretches less and won’t allow wheels to balloon as easily. Good luck!

My guess on the speedo was that it reset in the crash and that speed was recorded after impact.
A decent speed gun should be more accurate than any GPS speedo.

Kev try taking the oil out of the shocks. It will make the tires stick to the ground.
You need some solid 3d printed wheels with the tread pattern to make the off-road speed run! Tyres not required.

Get you a set of provolone Badlands and a roll of black gorilla tape. The inside of the badlands are smooth so the tape will stick extremely well. Clean the inside of the tires with alcohol and then stick the gorilla tape around the inside of the tire a few times. I have done this on my truck and ran it on six cell Lipo wide open any tires do not balloon one bit. I’ve had these tires in the same configuration for a few years and have never come apart and are very durable. I think this would be perfect for your situation. Try it out and you’ll thank me later.........hopefully if all goes well.
