The RC car must have been made out of recycled Nokia 3310 parts

I still can't believe that this car is so nearly indestructible that it could still drive after being under the tire of a 2-4 thousand pound truck.
Whoever designed this should get a medal.
About 30 years in RC hobby. Never seen RC car run over by full size vehicle..... must say I'm impressed with durability! That's Kev!! 👍🏾 seen plenty of near misses & my 9yr old (luckily) missed a Ford F-150 few weeks ago, LOL

Thanks for the great vid Kev 👍. Some of these cheap RC cars can really take a beating. Reminds me of when I used to drive over some model cars I had with my GQ Nissan Patrol with 37" tyres 🤷♂️. I was only 20 then but at 28 I still want to 🙈. Keep up the great work Mr Talbot.

i just looked at the link for this car and noticed that on the shocks it´s printed zd racing LOL that´s what many brands buy from others and rebrand them as their product. by the way love your channel been following you for around 2 years now and this is my go to channel for rc content.
I bought one of these recently and love it. Getting parts is kinda tough and take sometime to get from Banggood. I enjoy trying to come up with custom ways to fab parts and make them stronger so fun for me. but if you just want to click and order and get reasonably quick parts to your door probably not the car for you.I do wish Kev would redo this car and give it a fighting chance? Going up against the Land Rover is not a very fair fight!

I've had my 8th scale ZD Racing RC Buggy get run over by a big fat BMW X6. It was so weird because although it's almost all metal it kind of absorbed it all and absolutely nothing was wrong with it! However, I think the weight of one wheel is only a very slight amount of the overall weight of the car (maybe like 1/10) because one wheel only holds up one portion of the car, and when it's on something (ex. an RC car lol) then the suspension flexes slightly and gives the weight to the rest of the wheels. I don't really know how to explain it but ya know, if the entire weight of the car was balanced on one wheel, which is a lot more weight to take, I think the outcome would be VERY different. Very cool durability test though, Kev! Certainly original. Maybe try this with an X-Maxx to truly test it's durabilty? XD
test your theory with your foot. There is dofo more than 1/4 the weight in there. Engine and me on that side, plus when you get a wheel up there is more wight on it and also the other wheel diagonal across so I would guess almost half the weight of the landy was on that car, a good 1/3 anyway easy!
@@KevinTalbotTV Oh yeah I didn't take into the account the weight of the engine… I also forgot that you were on that side 'cause I live in Switzerland and the driver's side is on the right… Me stupid 😅 I've like forgotten about physics lol, I'vE bEeN dOiN' tOo MuCh GaMiNg 😂 but it'd be interesting to research it more to see how much of the weight actually was on the RC car from that one tyre, but I think it's closer to your estimate lol

That's flipping cracked! I Am surprised that it didn't burst into flames when you wrapped it in Ebay tape! That was an incredible amount of abuse for it to still operate. Haven't checked the price, but the parts are cheap and it is kost assuredly durable.
I have ZD Racing Pirates 2. It's actually one of my favorites for some reason. This video has just made me like mines a lot more now.

correction, its about 1300lbs. all 4 corners will roughly split the weight, depending on weight distribution.

Most branded cars would have taken more punishment, but it did very good for an unbranded cheap China special, very good for the money

its a 4 cilinder 2.5 liter. the 300tdi the be exactly.

To be fair too it was ran over like 4 times and still worked!
Kev will you please try the Redcat landslide xte my personal opinion I believe it's one of the best cheap bows and it's a 1/8 scale the only big thing I've seen out of box is a new servo other than that I'd beat mine up I think you would enjoy it as well
