So many times I’ve visited a Ward, and left with not one soul looking at me or even acknowledging my existence. We moved constantly with our family’s work. This was common in Wards in the USA and Germany. I’d look at people, longing for them to look back. Most of the time they did not look back at me. Thank you for reaching out to that young man. My brother killed himself at 21.
Sometimes words aren’t even needed. Just eye contact and a smile would have helped.

Wow thank you so much for sharing. I totally agree with your heartfelt comment. Just a smile and a handshake go so far. It takes just a second to give out, and it's often held on to and appreciated for a lifetime.

@Kat Bos, we're so sorry for the hurt and pain you've experienced, and we appreciate the perspective you shared. It is very difficult to feel we are not seen. At times when we feel alone or excluded, it can help to know that Jesus Christ knows perfectly our sadness and hurt. He was despised, rejected, misunderstood and betrayed by those who should be His friends. He will never leave you and He is always there! Continue to pray to our Heavenly Father to feel His love, keep your covenants, and you will be blessed for the kindness and forgiveness you extend to others, even when you don't receive it in return. The blog post below may provide comfort or counsel to you or others facing similar challenges: www.churchofjesuschrist.org/blog/the-longing-for-belonging?lang=eng

I'm going to defend words. As a new member I have learned the importance and the USA to defend the right to assemble. Actively I choose to shake hands and present my black ass to these white folks and see how God has my back. The ward is an extension of Heaven. You just got to hold on to the faith and take it day by day and your personal journey to be reestablished and reaffirmed in the army and family of God. Bye for now

Good job Brandon don't ever let life's obstacles get in the way of your faith and your dreams. This message should be for everybody who listens and learns, as well as people going through very tough times in life. I'm gonna ask if people could pray for me as I am going through a very difficult time in my life with the new family I'm with I really need help. thank you and God bless the world

I love these seminars. They give me hope. I never put any comment. But today, feeling so isolated here with a rare disease, I want to thank you and the others who bring joy, hope and peace to my ward

I don't know why but mostly when I am feeling down as I watch Hope works video. The likelyhood that I would watch this video is high. I am grateful to the Lord for the life of Brenden.

You have no idea how much I could relate, that feeling of loneliness where you feel like no one thinks about you, you feel abandoned, like your life will never amount to something. I know that God is always there though, I've thanked him for just being there, holding me so I could just sit there in a comforting silence, as he was just there, not doing anything but being there, and that's what I needed desperately. I also have had a number of physical challenges, and this truly spoke to me.

@@churchofjesuschrist I have been watching these videos since the series started years ago. I love them because they are people keeping it real while sharing their experiences. It would be so helpful for Spanish speakers if those videos are translated into that language. Listening to people's experiences and how they copped with adversity give us hope and another perspective on situations that we may be experiencing as well.

I am glad you watched this and I do read comments. they make a difference, even to the person who you are leaving it for. Every bit of encouragement and thanks makes that person feel loved. I am glad you took the time to watch these videos. :)

Thank you so much for this! This reminds me of God’s word: “For I am God, and mine arm is not shortened; and I will show miracles, signs, and wonders, unto all those who believe on my name.” I noticed the evidence of this scripture being fulfilled in this speech. His heroic faithfulness inspires me!

This is a beautiful presentation, what a lovely positive spirit this brother has. I love how he said the severest of gifts can give us gifts of empathy. They sure do Brother, and as difficult as it is to realise at the time, we do grow from them, and we do become refined if we allow it. I always love watching this channel, this is the 19th HW talk I have watched and recorded in my journal. And still counting.. Thank you for always bringing hope and insight my way.

What a wonderful story!!!😀 Thank you so much for your kindness, the Savior would. I personally love your great sense of humor.😁 Life must be beautiful with good laugh. I’m so grateful for your strong faith. And your Christ-like example taught me to do better, like you pray. Your great story reminds me of a scripture Matthew 25:40, The Holy Bible. Thank you.😊

I love that he does the same thing i do. I try to help other by telling them the rhings i went through and what am struggling with. The are not the stories that i love to sharr but i do it because i know there is something that my just touch them.
The is the girl from church. She's a member of the church . She just moved here a few months ago, she's studying to become a doctor. It looks like she have no family members here.
One sunday at church she was sitting alonr as always and i felt prompted to go sit next to her. I got up not knowing what to say. And all i say hi my name is Kimisha. I was prompted to sit next you . I am one of those shy persons. Since after where ever i see her i will say.
Yesterday at church iwanted to go sit next to our elder missionary but i didn't because i wasn't sure of the do's ans don'ts of elder missionaries since it is my first time not have a senior couple here.
Thank yoy for sharing yoy story. I appreciate alot and it means alot to me because it shows different ways to do service, tells me that life is going to have ups and downs but i just have to push forward.
Thank you for the motivation i really need it to go though my day.

LDS CHARITY SERVICES is working in Manila with ponic-vertical-farming to feed the poor living in poverty creating jobs for 7,000 disabled, handicapt. I wished I could organize ponic-vertical-farming in Ormoc City staying with my family. They are
Philippinos and can help me. I was a long time a manager and have the ability. The LORD wants me to knock till somebody is opening and I can fulfill my commission, the task I had been given. Thanks very much to our leaders.

I am 73 years old. How can I make my TV showing me from my tablet ? Who can help m e in Duisburg ? I'm sitting in a wheelchair and my hands and feet can't move the wheel chair, they get immediately painful cramps up to convulsion. I'm sure one day the LORD is going to help me to serve the hungry people in
Philippines with vertical gardens, punic gardens and futuristic houses out of bamboo. I'm examed in farming, in business and had a corporation in East-Berlin after the fall of the wall 1990. Training the jobless to gain skills for a new job.
