I love this beautiful woman! There is a grace about her and a light that shines from her sweet soul! She has come through so much, and still has remained faithful, kind and loving!

Thank you for this! I had a stroke at 24 due to a blood disorder and also went through something similar at the hospital with the staff. To this day the things I cant do that I used to, still bother me and it intermittently causes severe depression. My depression has been worse recently and this popped up. I don't think I've felt this at peace in a long time. So again, thank you!
Jessica, my heart and soul are with you!! We can do this! I'd love to connect with you and hear more of your story. You are a warrior -- keep fighting the good fight. God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Dear Jessica, May you “keep on keeping on.” Your life is hard, but you can do hard things. That is my point of view, of course, but I truly believe it. May the Lord bless you in all you try to do. 👵🏻 Christy
You are amazing. You can do this - you already are! You are brilliant, and beautiful, and I believe in you. So do Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. You can do this Jessica! Hordes of Angels are cheering you on!! You've got this!!!
I truly believe Jesus Christ understands exactly what it is like to go through what we are. It's crazy, but I truly believe that you, Jodi, and all of us are completely understood by He who gives us strength. Keep fighting and loving, I believe Heaven is cheering you on and lending many hands along the way.
Thank you, Jodi! You’ve just taught everyone who sees this a great lesson we may not have learned in any other way! Are you, by chance related to our dear friend and former bishop in Redmond, Washington- Craig Orgill? ❤ Julie Tanner
I think some people are uncomfortable with stories like this, because each of us is susceptible to the vicissitudes of mortality. So they react negatively. Feel compassion for their weakness. It's one we all share to one degree or other.
When you have negative forces working against you it sometimes means you're doing the right thing. Having 100% positives isn't ever really 100% positive. If you don't have dirt your seed will never grow.
When my wife was nearing the end of her mortal journey, she was likewise blessed with a nurse, Debbie, whose weekly assignment was to come to our home and wash her hair, just as you described. My wife loved loved it, and we loved Debbie and the others who cared for her. Each year on the anniversary of her passing, our family shares lunch with all of the nursing staff who acted with such tenderness and love. Thank you so much for this wonderful reminder.
20 years ago I lived in Arizona, 95% of my neighbors were of the Mormon faith. Kindest people I have ever met. Now I look back and wish I had converted.
Hi Dawna, thank you for your comment. We encourage you to reach out to the missionaries using this link: www.comeuntochrist.org/contact?cid=42001274. They would love to talk and answer any questions you have.
How wonderful that you try to see others as Christ would see them. Love. And yes, Lucas was an angel to me. I'd love to connect. I'm @jodiorgillbrown on Insta and FB. God bless!
4 years ago my father was in the hospital dying of cancer, a CNA came in each day and dressed him, comb his hair, shaved him and make him feel special. He was always the same CNA with the same amazing attitude. One day I asked him are you a Christian? He said “yes indeed I love the Lord Jesus Christ” and his smile from ear to ear. I said I can tell from the way you treat my father.....
Oh, wow. I love this..."I can tell from the way you treat my father." That is absolutely the best. Thank you for sharing. God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
My wife and I went through some similar experiences. One Sunday afternoon, when I came home after a long day of Church meetings, some angelic neighbors were washing my wife's hair in the kitchen sink. She had recently gone through surgery to remove cancer and wanted her hair washed badly. It had been several days. These wonderful women laid her gently on the counter top and helped her feel "beautiful" (I put this in quotes because, although she is always beautiful to me, she wasn't feeling this way at all) again. I will forever be grateful for the angelic women who came and helped my beautiful wife.
Fortunately our trials do not define us. You are a precious and beautiful daughter of God no matter what. Our faith in God and willingness to carry on the best we can is what counts.
Thank you Jodi. Your sweetness is inspiring. I worked in a prison for over 12 years and did self-help groups with inmates. Talk about working with the "least of these". And yet, I saw the atonement at work in these men's lives more than I have ever seen it anywhere else. And thank you for sharing Lucas with us. The world needs more men like that.
You are a courageous beautiful woman who has fought a battle most of us will never... no one will ever be rejected for being too kind. Thank you for sharing your story and bless the Lucas's of this world
If you look at her eyes when she's speaking, many times you'll see her as she looked before the surgery's negative side effects, it's wonderful. She still shines as brightly as she did in those pictures as far as I'm concerned.
@@JodiOrgillBrown I had the exact same experience seeing your light. You are powerful and inspiring! Thank you for being courageous!! You inspired me to look for the divine in others, starting with my family :) God bless you Jodi!

My dear wife and I had tears streaming down our cheeks as we witnessed true courage! You are a beautiful daughter of God and your light is tremendous. Thank you for your courage in the face of great adversity and for sharing yourself and your beautiful message with us!
Thank you Jodi, for sharing your story. I have had cancer, but haven't experienced the trauma you have, and appreciate your message that every interaction with another human being is a chance to nurture, and strengthen. When we meet someone, to try and leave them better than we found them with a kind word or action. Look at what you are accomplishing by sharing your story with us. Thank you. You are beautiful.
Oh my gosh that was one of the best talks I've ever heard. That totally inspired me to be a better person. You know what, about halfway through her talk, her disability disappeared. She is awesome and so beautiful, and she's not even wearing makeup lol. Thank you for this.
I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy recently and have expressed some depression as a result. My speech is slurred. I can only smile out of one side of my face. I drool and one eye droops. But, my friends and family still love me. I related to your story. I know I was perfectly designed by a loving God that will heal not only this condition, but even my unseen wounds that others don't see on the surface. Thank you for sharing your story.
Thank you for sharing. Recovering from a brain tumor surgery now. The brain is so amazing in an unpredictable, scary way. You still shine in such an amazing way that you give me hope. Your light never left.
You and Lucas are my heroes! I marveled, cried, and smiled at how you’ve overcome such obstacles and challenges. Your spirit is 10 feet tall and I love you!!!
I have a sister with autism and learning disabilities. She’s always been this way. I was taught to be kind to others but having a sister like her helped me take a further step and be an advocate for others. It’s interesting that Jesus is called our advocate before the Father. We are all imperfect, whether inside or out. But whether they be seen or unseen such as my sisters disabilities, they make us human and we each have the opportunity to help each other out and be Gods helping hands. My sisters been bullied and scorned, rejected and neglected but her Christlike example of never judging or holding grudges or being mean back to those who’ve hurt us teaches our family that we can be better and we’re blessed for having her in our lives just as you’ve blessed many with your story. Thank you.
Jessica, "advocate" is one of my favorite Christlike attributes, and one I haven't heard many people in the Church talk about. But it has been standing out to me for the past year+ as I've been reading the scriptures. I love that you shared this! His promise that He will be our advocate with the Father is one of the most beautiful phrases in scripture. It has always filled me with such peace, now it fills me with a call to action. I love that you feel that call too. Thanks for sharing.
What an absolutely beautiful story! Her courageous story touched my heart so much! Thank you so much for sharing this with the 🌎 world! Your a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul!!

Here's to all the Lucas' in the world. Thank you. Regardless of your race, creed, religion, etc. You showed that each person is special and should be respected as a child of God. To Jodi, I applaud your strength of character and your faith to keep moving on regardless of the challenge. They didn't say it would be easy, just that it would be worth it.
Absolutely marvelous message! I am a hairdresser and i learned the garbage bag and bucket shampoo method by helping a client/friend who had broken her neck and was confined to bed with a halo. We need more practical classes to minister. Many are willing to help, they just don’t know how!
Jodi. Thanks for sharing such a powerful message from your life. You're helping thousands of others in all walks of life. God bless you and your family.
"...If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." Herein these and many more are found. Thank you so much.
What a powerful and masterful message. Jodi, I am so touched by your story, your strength, and your testimony of God's love and your worth as His beloved daughter. I "Hear Him" through you. I hope I can some day be the great woman of faith that you are. Thank you. Blessings to you, your husband, and your beautiful children. You are my hero! (I too love Lucas and his tender kindness to you.)
This brings tears of joy to my good eye. ;) If you can Hear Him through me, then I am doing what HE wants me to do. Thank you. God bless you! @jodiorgillbrown
Thank You for the beautiful reminder that it is the small acts of service that change the world in great ways! Lucas probably didn't know how much he was doing to heal your Spirit when he began to wash your hair; just like the CNA with the cold shower did not realize how her actions affected you. We all have challenges and trials; some are more visible than others. But if we all treated each other as gently and tenderly as Lucas treated you; how much different our world would be! Every small act makes a difference. How many of us have been touched by seemingly small, simple, kind acts that remind us that somewhere, someone cares about us? You are truly beautiful inside and out!! Thank you for your courage and faith and for sharing your difficult journey with the world!
“Through small and simple things..” That kept coming to my mind as I heard how the CNA washed your hair. What a simple, yet tender service, he rendered. Beautiful story! Thank you.
Thank you thank you thank you, For courage and Taking the trials of life With bravery! We can see that Gods great confidence in your lives was not ill founded! Thank you for making it easy to believe in Him because we can see Hm in you! Thank you again!
I am great full to have the health and strength to work in care/nursing environment. And have assisted many people on the road to recovery. We all need that purpose in life that you rediscovered.. to be of value is not always reflected in your work status..... go Lucas..the saviour is reflected in you and your attention to detail at work..
Jody, thank you so much for sharing your message of hope! I really needed to hear it and it uplifted me! It is so wonderful to hear stories of people who are survivors and of people like Lucas who serve as the Savior did with love!
I, too, cannot understand how anyone could dislike this simple, courageous and powerful personal experience. WE are more than just bodies that talk and walk and we must treat each other with MUCH greater care and respect, no matter our looks, race, nationality, beliefs and even health status. Whenever one our children was born and a person asked whether it was a boy or a girl, we often got the response, "Well, most importantly it`s healthy!" And we would think and even sometimes say, "And what if it weren`t healthy?" Health and living a life void of challenges is not what life is about to me - it is about growing, learning and developing our characters, to see beyond the body or status and see the divine, eternal spirit in each human we encounter.
This is such a touching story. Beautiful in a way I would not have thought possible. This has moved me and made me realise how petty and small my own problems are compared to the sufferings of other people and the trails they have to endure. I don't think I will ever again complain to the Lord about my situation (Well ... that's not going to happen but it will be a lot less). I thank Jodi for being such a strong, such an incredible person. I thank you for your story. You will be in my prayers tonight!
This woman's words were inspired and powerful. She teaches us how to show charity by simply giving others the benefit of the doubt. I am not happy she had to go through what she did, but how can you see her standing tall, beautiful, and confident without seeing the Lord's hand? God is good:) Thank you for choosing to fight.
Thank you for sharing your insight. Your note truly touched me. I am most grateful that the Lord could speak to you through me. How humbling. God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Amazing... beautiful... inspiring. Thank you, Jodi, for peeling back some of the layers that cloud our view therefore allowing us to see truth more clearly. There are those sermons and talks where you leave saying, "I can see much better now"... your video did this for me.
Sister I so understand your journey, fought for my life 21 years ago...you have been sensitized know love in action. Christ's healing love. God bless you. He loves you so much.
Thank you for sharing your story. I've been going through a very different type of tribulation, but the same feelings of humiliation and loss of hope, and I really appreciate hearing the reminder that God is there, above it all, and that He loves me and has a plan for me.
You are such a beautiful inspiration! Today I am stronger, more insightful, and more compassionate to others... because of you. What a blessing you are!!
Your story proves we can all make a difference. The difference we make can be either positive or negative. That choice is ours so remember to be kind, loving, and supportive. I pray your recovery is going well, and thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I hope Lucas knows the positive difference he makes in people's lives daily.
This is a really important message! Thank you for providing your experiences! It really goes to show how important it is to treat everyone as Christ would. We don't know how people feel inside so we've got to be kind and serve each other with that in mind, even if they are strangers.
Absolutely inspiring. Thank you for reminding all of us that every one of us has a divine nature and beauty. You are a true inspiration in a world full of judges. Thanks also to your CNA.
I personally have known Jodi for several years and been blessed to learn from her and her experience. I respect, love, and admire her immensely. This talk is so powerful!
Thank you, Richele! I am honored by your kind words! If you like this video, you should check out some of the other videos on my channel. ;) @jodiorgillbrown
Wow! 😭🥰🤗 I f felt a roller coaster of emotions as you shared this amazing life experience. Thank you 🙏, truly. One could and should create a hallmark, Christian faith-based movie about your life from this experience. So many valuable lessons emphasized and to be learned in the life experience you have shared. Experiences and examples that bring us closer to, and a desire for, living as the Savior would have us do. Thank you so much!
It grieves my soul when others treat people poorly and judge them. I’m proud of Jody for staying strong and knowing she was still the same woman and can continue her mission on this earth! She’s still beautiful too! I wasn’t focusing at all on her paralyzation, I was focusing on her testimony and the Spirit! 👍🙂
I appreciate her candor about her experience. It makes me want to be more aware of how I treat anyone I encounter in my day and what messages my actions may send them, and it gives me a desire to be more gentle with myself.
Thank you. I think of Lucas every day when I encounter others. I am grateful he gave me the perspective of really seeing people at the heart. God bless. @jodiorgillbrown
I have hearing loss, and for all of my life, I have had people look down on me because I have a disability, and that I would not amount to much. I believe it for a long time, and it took me a lot of hurdles to overcome it. During the journey, I have had people come in my life that overlooked my disability and gave me hope that I can be someone I want to be.
Thank you Jodi for sharing and inspiring. No matter what, behind the clouds, the sun still shines. Stand tall, look them in the eyes, and smile. :-) You're an inspiration.
Thank you Jodi for sharing your first hand experience and the reminder of the worth of every soul. You opened my perspective of how courageous and heroic survivors of xyz really are, and how powerful our interactions can be. We truly are divine by design and you are a beautiful advocate for that, may you continue to feel the daily blessings of our creator in your life. 💗
@@JodiOrgillBrown It really makes me think twice when I interact with others and the effect we can have on their lives. Thank you, you've blessed my life and I will definately pass it forward.
I've learned so much taking care of my mom who has had JRA since age 9. I've grown to love her more than any son has loved a mother (in my mind) because I have served her and cared for her in every way I can.
Thank you for sharing a profoundly inspiring story. I gladly accept the invitation to change and to do things differently. The worth of every individual is great; you and Lucas have taught me and many others today.
My family has been fighting a lot lately, and it makes me feel horrible, as though I am a bad sister. But as she said when we stop yelling at each other and see each other as individuals who have a potential, a great potential, we love and serve. I am unsure of the trials the lord has placed upon us, I am unsure of why, or how the future will be, but I do feel the lord closer, and he has not left us nor abandonded us. He has loved us, showed us patience, and dignity. Someone could be the worst person on the whole world, but heavenly father will still love them. Because we are worthy of love and kindness.
I worked with a boy for his entire high school program who had cerebral palsy and extremely high muscle tone. He was mute and entirely dependant on my help. It used to amaze me how many people would fire a question at me that he could capably answer if you took the time to talk to him. They saw only the disability not the intelligent person that he is. I pray for those who live in ignorance of the feelings and intellect of others, although you who have disabilities that are visible need our help, they have a far greater disability that they need help from you and the Lord to teach them to overcome.
Jodi, Thank you for once again being willing to share parts of your experiences. You have a remarkable gift to lift others. I remain one of your biggest fans.

"...If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." Herein these and many more are found. Thank you so much.
A beautiful message from a beautiful lady! Thank you so much for sharing your message, and thank God for people like Lucas in this world.
I hope Lucas sees this and is reminded what a Christlike man he is! Thank you, Jodi, for your faith and hope!
So touching and Christ-like. Thank you for sharing your story to help others.
Jody, thank you for reminding that every soul is great in the sight of God! You Are Amazing!
I totally agree with Brian Larsen! I love how Jody shines and am so grateful for Lucas!!!
This is a very great story. I cried at the ending of it. People like Lucas are rare and need to be honored.
Thank you! I am so glad you liked the video. And I agree, LUCAS, and those like him, need to be honored!
Thank you for your testimony. I have been in a dark place and feel strengthened by your courage and faith
Keep fighting the good fight. God bless you. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
“Through small and simple things..” That kept coming to my mind as I heard how the CNA washed your hair. What a simple, yet tender service, he rendered. Beautiful story! Thank you.
Thank you Jodi, for your strength and courage, and for sharing your story. I want to be a Lucas, too.
That takes a lot of confidence and morality, hats off too get'er done girl
Thank you!! Get'er done girl is still learning, but trying every day! ;) I'd love to connect with you! I'm @jodiorgillbrown on Insta and FB.

Thank you thank you thank you, For courage and Taking the trials of life With bravery!

I wish I could love this a hundred times over! So beautiful, inside and out. Thank you for sharing!!
Love this comment! You made my day! So glad you are looking for the divine! Love, @jodiorgillbrown
I, too, cannot understand how anyone could dislike this simple, courageous and powerful personal experience. WE are more than just bodies that talk and walk and we must treat each other with MUCH greater care and respect, no matter our looks, race, nationality, beliefs and even health status. Whenever one our children was born and a person asked whether it was a boy or a girl, we often got the response, "Well, most importantly it`s healthy!" And we would think and even sometimes say, "And what if it weren`t healthy?"
Health and living a life void of challenges is not what life is about to me - it is about growing, learning and developing our characters, to see beyond the body or status and see the divine, eternal spirit in each human we encounter.
Thank You beautifull sister for you example !!! 👌👌👌
You are amazing! thank you so much for sharing your story Jodi!
Amazing... beautiful... inspiring. Thank you, Jodi, for peeling back some of the layers that cloud our view therefore allowing us to see truth more clearly. There are those sermons and talks where you leave saying, "I can see much better now"... your video did this for me.
Love this. Thanks! Look for the divine! Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Sister I so understand your journey, fought for my life 21 years ago...you have been sensitized know love in action. Christ's healing love. God bless you. He loves you so much.
“Every interaction is an opportunity to change a life.” Beautifully said.
Sister, you are a marvelous work and a wonder. carry on!
Lucas is a quiet angel.
Thank you for sharing your story Jodi 🙏 I love you ❤ you are such an inspiration to me and many more out there 🙏
I love how you said: we are divine by design!
Thank you with all my heart Jodi - I have watched you twice, and you strengthen me so deeply ~
This is a really important message! Thank you for providing your experiences!
It really goes to show how important it is to treat everyone as Christ would. We don't know how people feel inside so we've got to be kind and serve each other with that in mind, even if they are strangers.
YES, treat people as Christ would. Perfect! God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Yes indeed
What a wonderful person you must be. Thank you for reminding me.
I wont stop asking that these "Hope works" segments be also extended to Africa. So we too can participate.

Thank you! Kindness is never wasted! Perfect! God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Thank you for your kind comment! Love it. God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
The outside dosen't matter, it's the inside that counts, and that's what God sees in us.
Anyone who has gone through loss of a major kind can relate to this. I was once a person too. Bless you for sharing this.
Seems like after a long climb up a steep mountain Jodi's on top again with a view that she can fully embrace. Wonderful message. Thank you.
Yes, truly divine by design! THANK YOU. God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
@@JodiOrgillBrown It really makes me think twice when I interact with others and the effect we can have on their lives. Thank you, you've blessed my life and I will definately pass it forward.
Thank you for sharing some of the grace that God has given you through your experience
I've been blessed by hearing of Lucas. I am a CNA too. Thank you, Jody, for sharing
YOU have so much power to impact people every day! Thank you and God bless. @jodiorgillbrown
Bless you Jodi for sharing!
I've learned so much taking care of my mom who has had JRA since age 9. I've grown to love her more than any son has loved a mother (in my mind) because I have served her and cared for her in every way I can.
This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. What a tremendous gift you have been given. God bless you! Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Thank you for showing Sister Jodi, You are instrument from God and gifted to give inspiration to the wicked world :)
Thank you for sharing a profoundly inspiring story. I gladly accept the invitation to change and to do things differently. The worth of every individual is great; you and Lucas have taught me and many others today.
Many thanks and God bless. Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Love this. Thanks! Look for the divine! Love, @jodiorgillbrown
Jodi, Thank you for once again being willing to share parts of your experiences. You have a remarkable gift to lift others. I remain one of your biggest fans.
