Just a few of points I would have liked to see: Ja missing after G3 was probably what put the GSW over the top. Curry going berserk in G4 of the finals, Boston going ham in defense on him in G5 and still losing absolutely broke Boston. Also Wiggins demolished Tatum on defense. I guess you could keep going but then this video would be 90 minutes long :)
As a warriors fan and an Oakland Native, this video makes me want to cry. People always doubted us... no matter what the circumstance were but we came back 10x stronger and genuine than ever.
Born in Oakland raised in Newark...been a warrior fan since the late seventies...watching the niners and giants win multiple chips was awesome but this warrior team was even better.
I am a Celtics fan but I have always been a fan of the Warriors because of Steph and Draymond and when i saw who the Celtics were playing in the finals my mindset was the the Warriors deserved another title in comparison to the Celtics. But I still had hope that the celtics would win. After that 4th game I knew this was gonna be the Warriors year again and i hope to the see them again where there at. They are one of the all time best teams in my opinion for this season (not to discredit any teams just my opinion).
The only time I have ever agreed with a Collin Cowherd statement is when he said this: “I find the Warriors to be the easiest dynasty to root for. They don’t buy or sell out, and they embody how you want your franchise to play. They embody what you want your AAU team to play like. With fluidity and as a unit.” Also, this team is by far my favorite because of the pieces that made it up. All of the guys involved were dudes being put down by everybody else, but together, they did what many could not. They sort of became this band of misfit toys, but the big 3 and Iggy were the guys running the show. God, I love nba hoops. (And nfl games)
Even as a Thunder fan, who suffered enough in Golden State's hands, it was amazing to see them rebound. Also, I really like Steph, so always nice to see him succeed
Great video! Their 2022 championship win is probably sweeter than their previous championships just because of everything they had to go through just to get back to the Finals. I wish them the best next season.
The only thing that will stop the Warriors is the luxury tax. They're at risk of losing Draymond, Wiggins, and Poole next year. Its a shame a team that drafted most of their stars has to deal with contract issues like this
Yh imo, if a team drafts a player, the amount of their salary that goes to the total payroll which dictates lux tax, should be the max the player could get elsewhere. That would incentives loyalty from both parties without inhibiting competitiveness.
@@zachcoggins9018 The owners definitely care about the luxury tax. If they didn't, they would have given whatever Porter and GP2 wanted and resigned them. There is a limit to what can spend. Right now extending Wiggins and Poole would take it pretty close to that limit. If they add Klay and Green extensions, then they would be paying more than 500 million in salaries and tax.
@@maplenerd22 also, I would add, it's not as much Lacob and the crew themselves who care about the luxury tax, it's the other teams. The other teams have been apparently getting perturbed at Lacob's willingness to spend the extra cheddar to keep the warriors in contention. So while Lacob himself might not care as much, he doesn't want to attract the ire of the other owners and the league as a whole. He's even said as much, which earned him a fine recently. Regardless, as a warriors fan, I absolutely adore our ownership group and front office. It's so nice knowing that your team isn't afraid to do what it takes to put together and keep together a championship team. Like, even with Draymond asking for a max, I'm confident he ain't going anywhere. We'll give him the money, just like we're gonna give Wiggins and Poole the money too. And who knows, something within these upcoming collective bargaining agreements might break our way, cause I'm sure other teams are also worried about losing their homegrown stars because they drafted and developed too well
The luxury tax is insane. It gets really big really quick. If you are 20 million over the cap every dollar spent is multipled by 4. So a 20 million player will cost 80 million. If I were the warriors I would drop Draymond after this year, if he wants his max contract. And Klay maybe next
In the 2020-21 szn, I told my friends that the Dubs were gonna win another one next season, they didn’t listen and made fun of me. Now I’m chilling knowing that their fav team didn’t even make the play in😂 (lakers) while my team that I had faith in won their 4th

"Dynasty over in the blink of an eye..." WHAT? They made the finals 5 years in a row and won three of them. That sure isn't the blink of an eye. What were you expecting? An eternal dynasty that never passes. Also, you said, they appeared doomed to a miserable grave... most NBA players don't ever even make the finals, there ain't no misery in an incredible 5 year run coming to an end.
He meant that the dynasty is over in a blink of an eye because of the injuries happened at the same time he's not talking about how long the dynasty was dumbass
I think he meant that it ended really suddenly. Also Curry would’ve been pretty miserable if he didn’t go to another finals again because he knows he’s capable of leading a team to a title.
I mean as a Warriors fan, it seemed that we were doomed to just be in the middle of the pack for years to come. Without KD and Klay injured, that bench simply wouldn't be enough for a run. With Steph's injury, it gave them an easier choice to just utilize younger and unproven players for that season and we all know how some of those younger and unproven players became an integral part to their run
As long as the foundation is still solid, an empire can have outside forces destroy it countless times and still be rebuilt. Once the foundation rots, thats when it truly falls.
Man it's really worth to wait a little bit for your productions. Amazing research and structure of the video. Mad props. You're bringing real quality to this genre of yt videos.

The funny thing is - and yes of course GSW is great at development - but everyone credits the Warriors for developing Wigs. What they really developed was his mind. He’s the same player with a different mindset… a winning one. A silent beast, no less.
Ngl i never doubted them, i knew they would eventually be back again, the only thing i wasn't 100% certain on was how good Klay would be when he came back from such a long and devastating injury. But he's still good.
"What are they gonna say now?“ sums up curry's entire career, always doubted at every stage of his career and he's proven everyone wrong every fucking time
And they are already talking shit again... They will just never shut up. Curry could win another ring next year and they'd still talk. Even LeBron fucking James still has people doubting him, even though he played like an absolute goddamn mad man over the last 20 (TWENTY!!!!) years! It's just a sick world. People have no respect for greatness anymore.
They really spent their time well to where they had another chance to compete for the championship. Watching the progress of the younger players since 2019-20 to where they are now to seeing Steph just go off in 2020-21 and having everyone under one page is quite a run
I’m so lucky that out of all teams I decided to be a warriors fan nearly 10 years ago now when I first started playing basketball, didn’t think we’d be here again after the last finals and I was so confused this year because as much as I believed in the team it was like wow how tf do we keep advancing in the playoffs. Seeing all of the narratives against us end was great too, definitely the best championship we’ve won so fun to watch
Wiggins and Poole saved curry legacy Wiggins should've been finals MVP and curry only has one real ring which is 2022 ever other ring he beat injured teams
It's hilarious to me that no one seems to want to put the Warriors loss to the Raptors in proper context. Every other superstar gets excuses made for them when they lose in a situation where injuries can be blamed. FFS, LeBron is supposed to be the GOAT in many people's opinions, while people keep trying to invalidate Steph's actual accomplishments.
Honestly I’m new to basketball but I love how I’m going back and checking out what I missed on. It’s crazy to think they har two poor seasons in a row than they went on and won a ring. Keep it going dylan! Love your videos ❤️❤️❤️
Had Klay Thompson not gotten hurt, I truly believe the Warriors would've beaten the Raptors in 7.. But. Everything happens for a reason. Well, in sports anyways..lol
Another Banger from Dylan! I would hope to see a video on how players like Steve Nash, Reggie Miller, or Tracy grady went ringless. Maybe even a video looking back on big careers that declined in their final years like Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, or Shaq.
So proud of Klay! 95% of veterans would have probably quit or gone to some other team at that point in his career but he kelt the Warrior spirit and focus.
Tbh, in 2019 finals warriors can still win it if klay didn't get injured, and kawhi is like curry in 2015 beat an injured team, but nba media says kawhi is jordan level goat, but when curry wins it in 2015, he's a fraud? This is why i hate nba media

These warriors videos will have you go down in histiry as the single greatest channel to have documented their championship run and the feelings and emotions that came with it, you captured how tha nba world and fans as a whole felt during this run, perhaps the most popular the nba has been since heat lebron era and before them the lakers celtics rivalry and before them the shaq and kobe era and before them the Michael jordan bulls era, the era we are in right now is the era of *anticipation* , anticipation of lebron possibly never grtting to the finals again, and retiring as is, capping it all off with perhaps a season with his son; which wont be that great per say, unless he wins his last championship with his son, that makes him the undeniable goat, regardless of anything else, and we all know this to be true, on the other hand not winning another chip and not having enough left in the tank to get it done seems to be where were headed so the former would be that much greater and that would be why hed be the goat, they are so opposites right now, furthermore this is the era of how far the nba has fallen since the curry madness, which is suprisingly only one season ago😂 it all happens right in front of our eyes which is insane, on the bright side, this year seems like a passover kinda like the season miluakee won the championship so a team like the celtics or memphis or golden state will win this year, i hope golden state wins again thatd be amazing
Kevin Durant will be remember as someone who replaced Harrison Barnes and been replaced again by Wiggins... Warrior no need Kd to win Championship but Kd need warrior to improved his legacy

I both happy that GP2 got his bag in Portland and sad that we lost him!
As a Warriors fan I loved it! You caught all the important details that make this team the 2022 NBA Champions🏆 Great work👏🏾
Just a few of points I would have liked to see:
Ja missing after G3 was probably what put the GSW over the top.
Curry going berserk in G4 of the finals, Boston going ham in defense on him in G5 and still losing absolutely broke Boston.
Also Wiggins demolished Tatum on defense.
I guess you could keep going but then this video would be 90 minutes long :)
@@115TM The absence of Ja was offset by Golden State losing Payton.
As a warriors fan and an Oakland Native, this video makes me want to cry. People always doubted us... no matter what the circumstance were but we came back 10x stronger and genuine than ever.
Born in Oakland raised in Newark...been a warrior fan since the late seventies...watching the niners and giants win multiple chips was awesome but this warrior team was even better.
feel so blessed to be from the bay area and able to witness our dynasty right from home
40 minutes? These long form videos are amazing. 👍
And yet they feel so short

I am a Celtics fan but I have always been a fan of the Warriors because of Steph and Draymond and when i saw who the Celtics were playing in the finals my mindset was the the Warriors deserved another title in comparison to the Celtics. But I still had hope that the celtics would win. After that 4th game I knew this was gonna be the Warriors year again and i hope to the see them again where there at. They are one of the all time best teams in my opinion for this season (not to discredit any teams just my opinion).
Respect 💪🏾
Same as a Heat fan. I really like Curry and the Warriors
You're right, Celtics are likely at least heading into the finals next year, this coming from a Warriors fan.
@benzynowypiotr now celtics won finals crazy
The only time I have ever agreed with a Collin Cowherd statement is when he said this: “I find the Warriors to be the easiest dynasty to root for. They don’t buy or sell out, and they embody how you want your franchise to play. They embody what you want your AAU team to play like. With fluidity and as a unit.”
Also, this team is by far my favorite because of the pieces that made it up. All of the guys involved were dudes being put down by everybody else, but together, they did what many could not. They sort of became this band of misfit toys, but the big 3 and Iggy were the guys running the show. God, I love nba hoops. (And nfl games)
One of the easiest teams I have ever seen to root against. 73-9 and they added KD. what a joke.
@donsolos blud that was over half a decade ago at some point you gotta let the hate go. not good for ya heart
Even as a Thunder fan, who suffered enough in Golden State's hands, it was amazing to see them rebound. Also, I really like Steph, so always nice to see him succeed
Respect
Great video! Their 2022 championship win is probably sweeter than their previous championships just because of everything they had to go through just to get back to the Finals. I wish them the best next season.
i’ve watched this documentary at least five times and i never get tired of the dubs’ heartwarming story
Ownership don’t give af about luxury tax. They’ve been in it for a while (minus the time after the DLo trade)
Hearing curry say''What are they gonna say now.'' is one of the best moments. You feel the emotion in his voice. Great video!
In the 2020-21 szn, I told my friends that the Dubs were gonna win another one next season, they didn’t listen and made fun of me. Now I’m chilling knowing that their fav team didn’t even make the play in😂 (lakers) while my team that I had faith in won their 4th

Why everyone saying this aged badly? This is a story about how the Warriors saved their Dynasty in that time frame.
People aren’t very smart sometimes.
Yeah, you can tell who has a 10 second attention span and who doesn't within these comments
They literally went from the best team in the league for years on end to the worst in the next season
This dude is all about his clickbait
Never underestimate the heart of a champion
As long as the foundation is still solid, an empire can have outside forces destroy it countless times and still be rebuilt. Once the foundation rots, thats when it truly falls.
Man it's really worth to wait a little bit for your productions. Amazing research and structure of the video. Mad props. You're bringing real quality to this genre of yt videos.
Man kudos to the Underdogs with the core Steph, Klay &, Dray/Wiggs. I'm gonna miss GP2 though he's a big part of the team defensively I hope he comes back in the coming years
Wiggins was available to any team, they chased him, rebuilt his confidence and now he is playing how we expected when he came into the league.
The Warriors had a better rebuild in just 2 years than the whole Sacramento Franchise and the "Trust the Process" Sixers.
I LOVE that this happened a few months ago but you’re already talking about like it is in the annals of sports history! Now I get to rewatch this video every year

I love the retrospective videos!! Keep up the great work!
2022 really a spacial year for Steph man, all these accolades he received this year alone is bonkers. So inspirational
The funny thing is - and yes of course GSW is great at development - but everyone credits the Warriors for developing Wigs. What they really developed was his mind. He’s the same player with a different mindset… a winning one. A silent beast, no less.
That “what are they gon say now” is one of my favorite clips in all of sports
Ngl i never doubted them, i knew they would eventually be back again, the only thing i wasn't 100% certain on was how good Klay would be when he came back from such a long and devastating injury. But he's still good.
"What are they gonna say now?“ sums up curry's entire career, always doubted at every stage of his career and he's proven everyone wrong every fucking time
I felt this comment!

The fact klay came back from an torn ACL and Achille tear is crazy mans litterally the GOAT my fav player
Another incredible video, Dylan! Thank you for all of the time you put in to bring this to life!!

Either way were in for an exciting playoffs 2023
Kevin Durant will be remember as someone who replaced Harrison Barnes and been replaced again by Wiggins... Warrior no need Kd to win Championship but Kd need warrior to improved his legacy
