    Great timing on this video.. I have been contemplating adding this cam to my kit - specifically for RE walk through video , fake drone shots (large airport near me) and high end Virtual Tours.

      I'm trying to find a nice long pole I trust right now for those fake drone shots for the same reason. Do you have one you use that you like?

      Unfortunately 10 foot new version pole bend under this cam ... and part of became visible.
      I use Bushman V2 monopod and it is long enough when holding up with lover legs folding.

    How does this stack up against the "Insta360 x4" for 360 Real Estate Tours?

      Sorry for the late response, but I have a video coming out next week going over the 360 process with this camera and using the Kuula software to upload. I'll have a live link to a Kuula tour so you can see the images directly

    I just bought this camera based on watching a lot of your videos. Which I'm loving!
    My only complaint for the camera is the battery life. It's awful!
    I'm using Matterport and finding that as I get towards the end of a 1,800-2,000 SqFt house, my battery is at about 5-10% from a full charge. I'm going to pick up a second battery, who knows I may just have a battery with a bad cell or something but the battery life so far has been a major con.

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can understand what you're talking about. I honestly think it's an issue with Matterports app itself. When I use this camera with Matterport I can only get two houses out of a battery but when I use KUULA I can get through 3 houses before it hits 50%. That Matterport app is a big issue for my workflow personally

      @@jeremydeihl I've not tried Kuula yet, it admittedly intimidates me a bit with the post capture editing. I struggle with colors and them blending together.

    Do you ever have issues with stitch lines? I don’t seem them all the time but sometimes…. Also, ave you had any experience with viewing a image on desktop and stitch line looks good, then you go to export it and the exported image does not match how it was shown in insta360 software? Mine look good in the editor then when I export it it has a noticeable stitch line..

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only time I have had issues with stitch line are rooms that are typically very dark with something like super bright windows or an area of really bright light casting in on the floor. It's rare but it seems to happen the most to me in basements or sunrooms where it is extremely bright. I have used the camera for the past four or five months now and have only seen the stitch line three time. I have also noticed if you export JPEGs and instead of DNG's for further editing in Lightroom or Photoshop that can make the line more noticeable as well.

    What 360 camera were you using for virtual tours before this? (curious what the image quality and ease of use is like compare to a Ricoh Z1)

    It is my understanding that the stitching of really close-up objects is not very good. So, if I was shooting the interior of a car, the nearby objects will not stitch properly. Is that true?

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am honestly not entirely sure. Since I use the camera mainly for real estate 360 tours I don't really get too close to things or shoot in tight spaces like the interior of a car. Sorry I could not be more help on this scenario

    Can anyone help me? Shooting 9 bracket HDR for basic real estate photos (not VT). I reframe the dng in Studio and when I export so I can edit in Lr, the reframe doesn’t stick. Only thing I can do is “snapshot” which is lower quality.

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you get to the export popup page, there are two options at the top of the page, export 360 is automatically selected and you have to choose the export reframed image selection from those two top selections.

    Be careful when buying this camera for real estate, it is not officially supported in matterport yet, the quality of pictures inside the tour is terrible(((

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From my experience this camera is actually supported by Matterport, but I agree that the images it creates for the Matterport system are not the best. I think it has a lot to do with the fact the Matterport app only takes a single exposure instead of an HDR Bracket image like you can with the camera itself. Just one of the 5 reasons I prefer KUULA to Matterport personally, they allow you to edit the images before posting and that helps a great deal I feel.
