Not really... I spoke to her on the phone a few times and she is so rude! My grandmother has designer vintage going back from the 60's and she is not fair
My older sister practically lived in Biba, Carnaby Street. As a young girl I was in love with the Biba logo, still to this day I find it's so alluring.
What's great is that I only reconized the biba brand name because of the small mention of it in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie. Such great fashion from that decade ❤️
I am almost 70yrs old and have a lot of my 1960s and 1970s clothes , from various famous designers including cocktail dresses , evening wear , day wear etc . All are in good condition but way too small for me now and I have thought of having them altered but feel too fond of them in their original state as they bring so many happy memories of those years in London . How would I sell them , I am now based in Britain and the Republic of Ireland . Any ideas please ??
Wow it must be hard pulling just based on period without knowing his concept for the show or the charters personalities or colouring. The less information the harder it is to pick the right things. Glad he liked some though.
Based on what I've seen off the other videos, a lot of her pieces are original designer things (Dior, Chanel, some couture brands). On top of that, the store is in somewhere in Los Angeles (high rent), has celebrity clientele and she flies all over the state and country just to secure pieces. They are very pricey but that seems justified.
there's a difference between vintage and designer vintage which is what this store sells. Most of these pieces are by high end designers who dress celebrities and modern prices are probably in line with her own prices.
Bri Coulter Good vintage is worth it. You can find cheap vintage at a thrift store, but less and less. As time goes on fabric rips, it gets old, and start falling apart. 20 years ago, you could find pieces from the 30-40s, now you never see it. Pieces from the 50s-70s are becoming rarer in thrift stores, and so the pieces left are becoming more vauable. When you buy it online or at store, it's been found, repaired, and taken care of. If you are willing to do the treasure hunt part yourself, you can find vintage on the cheap.
You can most certainly find affordable vintage! My favorite part is the thrill of the hunt. You either have to dig to find good (true) vintage OR you can easily find it. A lot of etsy people rip customers off by saying stuff is vintage and going to the thrift store and buying vintage inspired stuff. But you can easily find either real vintage or vintage looking things while thrifting. That's what I do so i can save money while looking good doing it 😉
I don't undrestand. Is this supposed to be some fashionable show? I really cannot see anything that I would like. Just look like the stuff at thrift stores you avoid.
This lady is so great, watched a ton of these videos now. She’s so hard working and enthusiastic and she really knows her stuff, super inspiring.
Not really... I spoke to her on the phone a few times and she is so rude! My grandmother has designer vintage going back from the 60's and she is not fair
Yall this guy was the designer for Joker(2019) and Fifty shades of grey. His name sounded so familiar lol

That halter jean suit is everything, I could die of happiness at Doris’s shop
This academy award winning designer just happened to show up unannounced. Thank God I had a film crew there to film it all!
I am so addicted, I am binging constantly. I love clothes.
Lady is stylish and a good businesswoman
My older sister practically lived in Biba, Carnaby Street. As a young girl I was in love with the Biba logo, still to this day I find it's so alluring.
She knows what she is doing... Very inspiring
These are all gorgeous! FWIW, my grandparents had very similar fabric from the 1960s as what you used for the 1960s apron (as tea towels).
I loved seeing this and then comparing to the episodes I watched of Vinyl. What a fun job that must be. I'm envious!
I saw the episode Olivia Wilde wore that blouse in. 😍
Doris is so amazing! Inspiring!
they're talking about Vinyl c:
Kaitlyn Hamm yeah it's a shame it got canned after one season 😥
Can't wait to see if any of these pieces made to it the pilot of Vinyl!

He was definitely on something if ya know what I mean
Thought it was just me . 😬
We Indian are mad about biba, every woman have a biba as a jewellery in her wadrobe.
This is the best show ever produced in history of TV
After this coming on my recommendations and looking it up, it would make sense if the pilot he was talking about was Vinyl on HBO.
My favorite part of Vinyl was the style :-)
What's great is that I only reconized the biba brand name because of the small mention of it in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie. Such great fashion from that decade ❤️
Wasn't biba also a name of a cosmetics brand? They paved the way for out of the box, loud makeup.
it was the same person...was clothes first though
So where do we watch the pilot?
You can still watch on hbo. There's only one season though
I bet she thought he was going to spend a ton of money....looks like he didn’t....
I don't know, a lot of those prices are $1,000+ so that's a good chunk of money.
I don’t think its a money thing with her or him, its a passion.
She had alot of great outfits 😀
I love her she is so amazing
that guy is pompous
This is a great show I wish I would of know of it sonner
She reminds me a little of Frances McDormand
OMG me too! Especially the mom character in Almost Famous; they have the same mannerisms I think.
They could be related somehow. Would be awesome!
I would love to pull for a production that’s 70s!
Love this lady ❤️

I worked which Hbo pilot he was talking about because it was a favourite.
Brilliant
Let's play a game... every time they tell us he is doing a pilot for HBO, we can have a drink. (Be warned, after 2 minutes you will be pickled!)
That store looks like my hallway. I have so much gorgeous vintage from all different time periods.
Hi. Hello. Howdy. I love the dress the speaker has on. I love tie dyed.
I wanna shop with doris
Super awesome
We called those large bell bottoms elephant ears.
I think the show he references is "Vinyl".

That woman sitting on the stairs should try to look busy and professional ….gee !
Bruh I love vintage but people charge too much for it... her included.

Shes a fashion historian
Do we know which pilot/show this is for?
sisi429 it’s most probably the Irishman x
it's a show called Vinyl.
I’m not familiar with this shop...are these preloved clothes?
Leia Sophia yes, but they aren’t like a normal thrift shop. They are a very expensive designer shop.
the woman with the long hair is just the house sycophant
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Does the studio give him a $ amount to spend on clothes?
Yes, That's how it's normally done. A budget will be given to each Heads.
he could of just went to the trift store i've seen bunch of 70s stuff in thrift shops..
did he really desecrate the vintage?!
He designed for 50 Shades of grey!!
arghh its just a bunch of "ego" tripping
Por favor que alguien me pierda en esa tienda.
What store is that?
+Anna Forbes The Way We Wore in LA
whats the name of the store!!!!!
The Way We Wore in LA
I believe that the store is called what we wore
+Taylor Rains
i think its the way we wore
Oh, what fun jobs! What a dream.
Why does this shop look like a second hand shop
You are a grade A moron.
because it basically is a high end designer secondhand store lol
Do you rent your clothes out ?
Those are hideous
Its the seventies. Its supposed to.
Chloe Tetpon 70s styled clothes were colorful and supposedly tacky
some day thats what they will call the fashion ppl are crazy about today.
K
whatever pilot dress means, if people call or come to ask about their family members, all we do is just give the address to see for themselves!
Doris great clothes you look good but your assistants need to look much better. Not sit on steps

It's vintage, and if you avoid it at thrift stores, that's kinda dumb.
