For those that are on the fence about solid tires.. If you are having flats often, then use slime. That is an absolute must. If you slime it, it will rarely get flats.. I havge a zero 10x
One of my m5-20 hub bolts was crossthreaded at the factory. going to be lots of fun drilling it out and fixing it. But back to your video, great trick with longer bolts! You come up with some super ideas.
FYI you won't have that much slack on the motor wire lead. Make sure you have something to prop the motor on so you can work on it without stressing the wire lead.
Solid tires in fast Electric scooters are scary and dangerous in high speed its better with pneumatic tires since zero 10x is easy to change tires because its a split type :)
mine puncture every few weeks, constantly taking wheels off and changing tubes. I think it's the split rim that causes the issue, my tubes are alway split in the same places and never punctured from external. I just sanded the sharp edges off the split rim on mine to see if that helps.
All this microwave this and boil that.. just use washing up liquid on both sides of the tyre and on the rims, coat it with your finger or if you dont like clean hands, use a small brush. This acts as a lubricant and just enough time to get the tyres on. You need 3x M5 bolts 50mm (full thread) using in a triangle pattern and secure them one at a time, not to fully tighten 1 up fully, small amounts on each, this will pull the rings together, Slow and steady is the key. Once the 3 bolts are secure and dont go any further put the other 3 normal bolts in, Once thats dont take out the long 50mm bolts out and replace with the normal length bolts. When you 1st start it looks like the tyres do not fit, this is normal as they are not soft tyres so its like trying to fit an inflated tyre on a hub thats why there are 2 parts! and another reason if you damage the motor ring ( this side has thread) you need a new motor, if the other ring is damaged ( no thread ) you can just buy a new ring. As the solid tyres have no Give in them you will have to unplug the motor and hall sensor wires back through the scooter so the wires can go though the tyre. The hall sensor wires are in a quick release plug, just unpick the 5 wires from the plug and they all go though to give you more room or try with the plug on but is better to have more room.
I'd much rather boil my tire for 2 minutes, rather than having to get all the way into the controllers for something pretty simple. Don't fix what ain't broke.
Why did you skip the most important part of the video? How did you fit the motor hub into the rubber wheels? I order the honeycomb solid rubbers from the link on the description. I have Boiled the wheels for an hour, I have microwave it and I for the love of god cant fit the motor hub into it, just doesnt work.

it will run slower because the solid tire is heavy, I stay with the regular air-filled tires but use the (SLIME TUBE/TIRE) brand, not the regular Slime!! in all 6 of my scooters and it works flawlessly. no flats on any of my scooters they all have road tires though. the product comes with a 2-year guarantee

Bought a Zero8x from rev rides ride it about 100 miles tire came off the rim , I reseated the tire, yet tire continues to fall off if scooter goes over 20 mph . Is there a solution to this dangerous problem
To reinstall tire u need to use plenty wd-40 on the edge off the rubber tire, then wedge a small flat screwdriver between the rim and tire, when you have a large enough gap place a large screwdriver or small angle cro-bar or a (tire pry) start spinning the tire making sure the lip seats onto the rim as you spin the tire back on the rim, just like a car tire machine works at an auto shopThis will work easier if the tire is hot so you may want to leave it out in direct sunlight for several hrs before doin so .... it’s easier with 2 people as well one to spin one to use tire pry ....the reason it fell off ... the heat of the Motor causes the tire to loosen off the rim . It’s a design flaw
Better to instal honeycomb tires cause regular tube tires standard on Zero scooters are the worst shitty tires you can get... flat tires on and on... Actually zero gives you the regular tube tires because they cost pennies... the honeycomb cost a few dollars... but still if you buy them they will cost you over $30.00 a piece... unless you get them on alibaba at $4.50 And more the power trigger is the cheapest on the market ... Also I put a little WD40 in the hub threads to prevent them from stripping as you put a steel bolt in an aluminum thread.
I used 2 bar clamps instead if the longer bolts it worked perfectly...very happy no more hours of labor.
I was told this scoot would create too much torque for solid tires? Care to comment, are there specific tires for higher torque etc?
