      I started in R/C a long time ago (don't ask!), you had to build your own planes, and radios were more expensive, but today you can buy a pre-built glider, even a motorized glider, for around $200, figure another $200 for radio and servos, and maybe another $50-$100 for batteries, chargers, etc.
      I've been out of the sport for around 30 years (Damn! where DID the time go?), and I'm right now about halfway through building a little grenade launch glider from an old set of plans (a Bridi Flipper), have my eye on a couple little hills where I might be able to slope soar it, have an old hi-start bungee I'm going to see if it's still good, if not I can make one up. I had one of these years ago, it was fun just to throw it into the air and fly around, it would even catch thermals and give me some good flight times just from a hand throw on flat ground.
      Or you can get a RTF (ready to fly) motorized plane, complete with the radio, for around $200-$250 if you want to try flying R/C.
      It IS fun. Give it a go.

    How much weight can a glider like that carry? I want to make one and put some camera and batteries, but since my camera is a little over 5kg, idk if it will lift.

      This glider only weight 2,3 Kg....this is not a drone

      @@eos-technologie That's not what I was asking... I've seen some people mount cameras on RC gliders, I was wondering how heavy of a camera I can put on it, not how much the thing weighs.

    What a great flying site! Wish I could get my gliders to roll like those in the video, my gliders have a lazy roll rate and it drives me crazy

    I fly RC planes And I'm becoming interested in these gliders!
    Are you always able to land on the ridge were you originated your flight and takeoff?
    Thank you

      "Always" is too close to science to be applied to RC slope soaring :) But the answer is YES: most of the landings end well when you know your model

    I wonder, can you attach an action camera to the underside of the fuselage?

    • @eos-technologie
      @eos-technologie ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, a GoPro could be attached to the side of the fuselage
