The first guy is socially awkward which is often confused with being rude. And that female judge set him up with that question. She was ready to pounce on him no matter what reason he gave. Telling a contestant you don't "like him" makes you look unprofessional. You're there to judge his voice nothing more at that point. You can suggest he gets help to work on his social skills and if he refuses then you can judge his personality, and drop him. Now the rest of the contestants had bad attitudes!
I disagree with you guys. The judges also want people they can work with . You may be very good but if being rude and awkward nobody will be able to work with you. That is exactly what happened to the second girl.She is going nowhere with that attitude. MJ could not have made it in the NBA if he was rude to his coaches and other players can’t tolerate him . Character and emotional stability is very important. It is difficult to be a guild to people who know it all.

The auditioning dais should have had the acumen, class, and knowledge to know enough to redirect him. He's a character's character, replete with instinctive offbeat humor. Are you kidding?!?! If that kid gets the right coaching and direction he could be a phenomenon as a standup comic or character actor. If I were an agent who represented character actors, he wouldn't need to "call me on Monday," I'd be calling him before the weekend was up.

Haha I have to completely disagree. The judges had to work with these people, lift them up into their industry. If you’re rude, dismissive and arrogant, you can say goodbye to your opportunity. The same would play out in any given industry. It doesn’t matter your talent, or your CV, if you are outwardly patronising and rude you won’t get very far at all.

So for this specific industry, not even the industry, just for Idol, the judges shouldn't get so offended so quickly. He wasn't even that rude. That’s the set up for the show, but that type of auditioning is what really happens, and I’m 100% guaranteeing you not one person would get through or accepted if they were half as rude as that guy. I don’t know what superstars you’re talking about, but, they either didn’t audition in this way and did things differently, or they didn’t come across as that rude and obnoxious in an audition that would potentially make their career. the first guy was certainly rude at first but his first apology was sincere, i can tell and then for the rest of the audition he was consistently submissive but that one girl judge just kept tearing into him i thought it was excessive and that she kinda kept setting him up
Not true at all. I'm rude all the time at the store just to get things off, works like a charm. I just act super offended, threaten to give negative reviews, call corporate offices, then act like I would be sooooooooo happy if I could just get a little money off. It's sweet.
The first guy's audition bothered me a lot. He was actually a good singer, and his voice sounded really strong during some parts of the song. I think he went in with a bad attitude because he was on edge from waiting on day. He apologized for that, though. The judges kept pushing that back at him. Then, the female judge who said he needed a spanking and asked if he had ever had a girlfriend before was extremely unprofessional. Imagine if a male judge told a female contestant she needed a spanking then proceeded to ask if she had ever had a boyfriend before; that would have made national headlines. That audition makes me so upset because she shouldn't have spoken to him like that. Also, Ian was absolutely hilarious. I wonder what he's up to now. I liked the last guy a lot, actually. It was sad because you could hear the passion in his voice, and when they rejected him, it completely crushed him.

The auditioning dais should have had the acumen, class, and knowledge to know enough to redirect him. He's a character's character, replete with instinctive offbeat humor. Are you kidding?!?! If that kid gets the right coaching and direction he could be a phenomenon as a standup comic or character actor. If I were an agent who represented character actors, he wouldn't need to "call me on Monday," I'd be calling him before the weekend was up.
The judges shouldn't get so personal. The judge that said she really doesn't like him, that has nothing to do with singing and then she becomes very weird by saying he's naughty and needs a spanking 😂😂

Haha I have to completely disagree. The judges had to work with these people, lift them up into their industry. If you’re rude, dismissive and arrogant, you can say goodbye to your opportunity. The same would play out in any given industry. It doesn’t matter your talent, or your CV, if you are outwardly patronising and rude you won’t get very far at all.

So for this specific industry, not even the industry, just for Idol, the judges shouldn't get so offended so quickly. He wasn't even that rude. He was just not so excited after waiting in line all day.

That’s the set up for the show, but that type of auditioning is what really happens, and I’m 100% guaranteeing you not one person would get through or accepted if they were half as rude as that guy. I don’t know what superstars you’re talking about, but, they either didn’t audition in this way and did things differently, or they didn’t come across as that rude and obnoxious in an audition that would potentially make their career. The first guy's audition bothered me a lot. He was actually a good singer, and his voice sounded really strong during some parts of the song. I think he went in with a bad attitude because he was on edge from waiting on day. He apologized for that, though. The judges kept pushing that back at him. Then, the female judge who said he needed a spanking and asked if he had ever had a girlfriend before was extremely unprofessional. Imagine if a male judge told a female contestant she needed a spanking then proceeded to ask if she had ever had a boyfriend before; that would have made national headlines. That audition makes me so upset because she shouldn't have spoken to him like that.
Also, Ian was absolutely hilarious. I wonder what he's up to now.
I liked the last guy a lot, actually. It was sad because you could hear the passion in his voice, and when they rejected him, it completely crushed him.
