@MemeGod27 I could see them joking around with the Jojo references (I was following along with that). Though, they probably weren’t joking when some were mentioning Sans, Shantae and Waluigi for Smash. Some dude even mentioned Capcom vs SNK 3 so I guess he might’ve been joking.

I watched this live, and most of the live chat was horrible. People were asking for first-party games and Smash reveals when the video is clearly about THIRD-PARTY games and developers. It sickens me.
And also, why are they expecting a new fighter after they just got 2 with one that's not even out yet. It makes even less sense when you realize this is an indie direct.
People do it because it's funny to them to act out the meme, not because they are expecting that news or are angry.

Ori and the Blind Forest is one of my all time favourite games. It's only second to Hollow Knight in the Metroidvania genre. Salt and Sanctuary, and Guacamelee close behind.

I was REALLY hoping for untitled goose game and Stanley Parable.
but SP was a mod for Half Life, has a MC reference, a bunch of valve references, and it's _technically owned by valve_
@@saxshton Well, in the 2018 game awards, Stanley Parable: ultra deluxe was confirmed to be an expansion/port of the Stanley Parable to consoles and PC with a significant amount of extra content like more endings. They didn't specify which consoles but in their website they said they would be trying to bring the game to "your favorite console" (ie the Xbox 1, PS4, and Switch since they're the biggest and only consoles of the current console generation) The Stanley Parable isn't very graphically demanding as well so it wouldn't need much optimization for switch. The thing that valve owns is the source engine that it uses, which does also mean it technically owns the proprietary software but here's the catch, this is only for the original pc release. The ultra deluxe uses the unity engine instead, meaning that valve basically owns nothing of the expanded version due to them not owning unity and since unity is supported on all platforms compared to the source engine it means it can be used for all consoles. The original idea/demo was made as a half life 2 mod but the actual full game used the portal 2 version of the source engine instead, with the ultra deluxe using unity. Minecraft is already on switch so the reference wouldn't be too out of the ordinary, the valve references are a bit more difficult to keep in but I think if they just kept them it would pretty cool and wouldn't cause much controversy. The game is releasing sometime this year.
Without looking it up, I think Untitled Goose Game is exclusive to some PC games service for awhile, that's why there's a delay. We'll get it when that expires. Hopefully soon.

This means two things: either Microsoft is about to buy Nintendo outright, or (and this is far more likely) Phil is putting more of Microsoft's IPs elsewhere as a failsafe if Scarlett tanks.

I mean any Microsoft representation on the switch is worth it. This just a case of being overhyped by leaks.
I would be very angry as an indie developer seeing that chat talking about Splatoon and how my game is lame / bad.
Honestly this showcase rekindled my hope for the games industry, I used to lament over how there's no quirky little games anymore coming out of companies and so on but this showcase was CHOCK full of them.
Indies truly are where all the creativity in the industry has gone, I' so grateful for them, some of these games look absolutely outstanding.
First Cuphead, now Ori. Next up?

Not sure about the new presentation style. Prefer the clean look of the previous Nindies and indies showcases. The bits of talking also seemed more stilted than usual; nearly as bad as the State of play VO.

Bruh, all the times you see people mess up on stuff like when to use "your" or "you're" but now there's also people who obviously overcorrect instead and end up being wrong again. Were/we're are two different things with different usecases. When someone corrected you in the past it wasn't because "were" is spelled wrong and "we're" is the correct spelling every time.

For those looking for Hollow Knight: Silksong, there's no announcement.
Team Cherry likes to announce things on their own accord and only put announcements on their social media. The only time they announce things on other showcases is when the news has already been announced by Team Cherry.
We just have to wait for TC to make an official statement for an announcement.
