I'm just hoping there's a universal toggle for the rhythm timing. Crypt of the Necrodancer is fun, but only as Bard, the rhythm mechanics just make moving too annoying. If I can play as Link and Zelda without that irritation I'm sold, if not I'll give it a miss.

The original game is called Crypt of the NecroDancer. It's one of the best roguelites out there. (If you play as Bard, it becomes a true roguelike.) You move to the beat and try to clear the level before the song ends. It's incredibly difficult, but it's also incredibly fun.

Let it be known that Microsoft already put Cuphead on Steam AND GoG, not just their own services. It's still remarkable that a competitor console platform got it too, but not overly surprising. There was demand, so they supplied

I think the primary reason is that Microsoft doesn't want to be in the console business because they can't directly compete with sony or nintendo, more money to be made having their ips on multiple platforms. The xbox brand future is looking very bleak.

for me The Red Lantern looks like Firewatch, and apparently with much more world events that can happen, and you get to shoot things. It might just be a buy from me.
Those games look amazing, but I know they've already gotten a lot of love already, hence my focus on these three games in my comment :)

The original game is called Crypt of the NecroDancer. It's one of the best roguelites out there. (If you play as Bard, it becomes a true roguelike.)
You move to the beat and try to clear the level before the song ends. It's incredibly difficult, but it's also incredibly fun.

Let it be known that Microsoft already put Cuphead on Steam AND GoG, not just their own services. It's still remarkable that a competitor console platform got it too, but not overly surprising. There was demand, so they supplied

I think the primary reason is that Microsoft doesn't want to be in the console business because they can't directly compete with sony or nintendo, more money to be made having their ips on multiple platforms. The xbox brand future is looking very bleak.
