I always loved this piece. I had the opportunity to be in the musical Strike Up the Band, by the Gershwin brothers (from which 'The Man I Love' is from), and this is a great performance. Obvious technical mastery from both the lady and the gent. Thank you so much for this video!
Thank you for the beautiful words! The Gershwin videos were pulled away 'cause we had problem with orchestra permission, may be there will be other chances...
This is a beautiful version. Is there any way I can get in touch with the person that transcribed it? I'd love to play this in my next concert! Thank you!
It's nice, but the most feeling and touching version of this song I've heard was from Art Tatum, and you know what's funny? He sounds like 3 people playing together ;) But this video is amazing, thanks!
i don't get these criticisms. "lennonne cool and jazzy, bruni square and classical" "play it more like yer inna smoky niteclub, less drama?" wankers. they should change their hard earned styles for you, and bring it round to some particular E. Village club mood circa 1953? they are the pianists they are, they are playing it (HELLO?) in a concert hall as a nice aside to the Rhapsody performance, and they approach it the same way they do the orchestra piece. they give the overdone and often badly done old standard the same kind of new york skyline/broadway bustle symphonic sparkle that an orchestra would. it sounds like an extension of Rhapsody.. it is what is is, and it's very good. they got exactly what that they were going for.

How can a man compose such song?? ............Because he is not a man......he is a genious!!! Or someone from outer space that came to Earth just to show how they do it in another world!!!Together with Porter, Berlin, Rodgers & Hart or Hammerstein II, Kander and Ebb this is the first team of genious in american popular music...(popular??)
Very nice arrangement and performance- great coordination. Beautiful phrasing and expression.

Ah..."questi due" si chiamano Paola Bruni e Pasquale Iannone

Beautiful, but somehow doesn't really sound like Gershwin. It's a bit too... classical, I suppose.
Lannone all jazzy and cool and Bruni square and classic. Not impressed.
