@@unit220 Good morning, does this work as long as the language you are playing in is at the launch of the game on Steam? I ask this in case I have to modify something to make the mod work, since my natural language is not English.
Thanks for this im new to pc gaming and i wanted to try STLAKER because i heard it was a good game. This will be my only mod i use my first time playing because i heard only to use this on your first time.
Somehow I managed to play more than 15 hours of this game with the default headbobbing, all vanilla, on master difficulty. I'm getting this just because I need to change the height, the height is so weird. Am I a childrens? The weapons work great on vanilla, just one headshot and almost any enemy is dead. Don't know why people freak out about the complete mod, it's kind of annoying. Glad you're letting people know about this barebones, bugfixing mod. So people can enjoy an enhanced, default experience of this game.

Hey, Olexi Petrov ! Nice video man, it helps me a lot. I was confused before and I think that i need to change all ''false'' to ''true'' line vertically in second line so i change them all... LOL, stupid me, but hey there is always one good man from community to help others, right ! Did u ever try to use couple of diferent mod's with Z.R.P ?? DId they have conflicts ?? Cheers man and keep it good.
That whole part is tricky and I almost forgot to cover it in the video haha (you can hear me stutter as I remember it). As for your questions; 1.) It is always a good idea to run any game at least once before you mod it. This lets it download any preliminary updates or preform initial setup of files. I personally have always run STALKER games at least once before modding, but I don't know if it would matter here. If it does then you can just re-do the steps after your first launch and it should be fine. 2.) ZRP is pretty widely used so chances are that a lot of the mod developers will have it installed while making their mods. It also tends to change things before other mods so stuff that conflicts just gets changed by the latter installed mod (not always the case). I can't say it will always work nicely with other mods, but texture packs should not be an issue. Total overhauls might present problems, but I'm really not sure and that would be a case by case basis. Let me know if you need anything else.
I downloaded the mod but I can’t reduce the head bobbing, when I try opening the modifier it says it can’t run on my pc and to find a version that does
It’s mostly the same, but I don’t believe the SRP comes with the modifier program so you’ll need to install optional components manually. If there is any confusion, the SRP install instructions are in their readme file and one of the author’s (Decane) has a comment on how to install the mod here www.gsc-game.com/index.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr2&thm_page=1&thm_id=20140&page=179&sec_id=22&lang=en (this goes to the old forum, just say no if the website tries to get you to go to the new website).
You should've made a separate video for changing the headbob. You could've made a whole compilation of neat edits you can do with the mod, and put the link in the description of this video and at the end.
Thank you so much for the guide. Don't know if you going to read this or not. Would you please release a guide how to install AtmosFear and Absolute Nature content for SoC?
Kevin Huang I have all comment notifications hooked up to my phone so I read them all :). I haven’t actually played SoC is quite a while so I don’t think I’ll do another guide right now, but if I do I’ll make note that those are ones people want to see.
can i ask a separate question from the video? i finished shadow of chernobyl and clear sky vanilla and now i want to play shadow of chernobyl with mods again till i buy call of pripyat. which mods do you suggest me to play? sorry for my english
Whenever I played SoC I actually only used the ZRP, so I haven't really used any other SoC mods. When looking for mods I tend to just browse the moddb page for popular mods and look for ones that I personally think look interesting. I tend to like mods that are lore-friendly and that don't change the base game too much, so things like weapon packs and graphic enhancers are my favorites. However, there are also plenty of overhaul mods that completely change the game too and they might help you pass the time before you get CoP. Anyway, your English is good enough to understand with no issues :) (you also don't get to spend much time in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R community if you only understand *perfect* English haha)
Are the bugfixes applies automatically? Or do I have to enable them like you did with the headbob changes? I didn't see any options for the bugfixes in the modifier so not sure.
Is there any way or mod to improve ballistics and damage without altering anything else from the original game or vanilla version? In improve the ballistics I mean that when I shoot the bullet it does not go out in random directions, and by improving the damage I mean that the bullets do much more damage to both me and the enemies, because sometimes I shoot directly in the head to bandits who don't even have armor, but don't die, and it's pretty unpleseant. And btw, that mod did not work for me, the game does not open after installing it.
The mod works for me but there is an issue. I'm ukrainian myself, and in vanilla every NPC including stalkers by the fire talked in my language. Now when I installed the mod, for some reason important NPC's language is still ukrainian, but guys by the fire talk in russian. I delete the mod - it goes back to ukrainian again. Any idea why their language changes and if there's a way to keep it all ukrainian while having the mod?
Unfortunately I have no idea why it would affect the language of the game. I think I actually still played in English when I made this video so I haven’t ever messed with ZRP’s language. Maybe there is some info on their website? Sorry I couldn’t help, I hope you find a solution though.
Whenever I download the mod and try to open it to extract the game data, it just open notepad and shows me a bunch of code. I’m not sure what I did wrong.
Sounds like you have notepad set as the default program associated with zip files. You should be able to right click and “extract all” to unpack the file. You may also want to associate zip files with the correct program. Right click the file and choose “open with”. Make sure that the “always open with this program” box is checked. Find your preferred file archive manager (7zip, WinRar, etc) and select it. Zip extensions should now be associated with said program. This is all based off of memory of windows 10, 11 may have slightly different steps or require you to select “more options” for some options to appear.
@@unit220i got it working and did everything your guide said, but for some reason in the main menu it does not list “ZRP 1.07 R5” next to the game version, which i’ve read that it should be. Did I do something wrong?
Hey man, I already had winrar installed, then downloaded zip7, but when I download this mod it only saves as a winrar file. Do I have to delete winrar first?
It should be downloaded as a .7z archive (not that it matters much as 7z archives can be opened by winrar and vice versa). It sounds like you have winrar set up to be your default compression software. Just change it in Windows if you want to start using 7z. The easiest way to do that is to right-click on an archive > click "open with" > click "choose another app" > check "Always use this app to open .7z files" > select 7zip from the list of programs (you may have to click "More apps" and possibly even "Look for another app on this PC" to find it manually if Windows doesn't feel like showing you 7zip). Regardless, winrar works fine if that's what you want to keep on using (7zip is open source, covers more file types, and doesn't yell at you to buy it every time you use it though so I like that).
Actually, all I had to do was restart my PC after first installation, it’s a new one I got just yesterday. After that the ZRP has caused no further issues.
Hey man. Don't know if you are still active but do you know if you were able to launch your game from the default shortcut. I have the GOG version and I'm kinda a bitch for achievements so I'd like to have those.
I’m pretty sure I always launched the game via steam after installing this and that essentially uses the default shortcut but, there are no achievements on steam. I wasn’t aware there were on GOG either, are you sure there are? I only know about the in-game achievements for CoP. I also really like achievements so playing for them on GOG might be a reason for me to do another playthrough haha.
So you've opened up a bit of a can of worms haha. The blunt answer to your question is that the ZRP cannot change that directly, but there are some ways around it. First I should tell you how STALKER handles enemies receiving damage, it takes the weapon's base damage and then runs it through a myriad of resistances based on where you hit the dude, what he was wearing, and what innate immunities he has. This means that you could technically crack open every enemy's .ltx file and change their "fire_wound_immunity" (fire meaning gunfire) value to make them less resistant to bullets (lower values = more resistant). You could also, god forbid, change each body part resistance. However, I have to admit that this is janky given the number of calculations going on and I can't say I've ever done it myself. You could technically handle things on the weapon side of the fence though! You see, in STALKER any changes to weapon stats hold true for both the player *and* NPCs. It also just so happens that the power stats of weapons tend to increase as difficulty increases. So what you could do is simply set the difficulty to master but also buff your resistance using the to Modifier.exe to compensate for the increased damage that weapons are now dealing (while leaving enemies with their old shitty resistances). To do this; simply download the ZRP, open up the Modifier.exe, go to the Actor.cfg dropdown section, remember to install the Actor.ltx in the "*Install Actor.ltx*" tab, click on the "Difficulty - Part 1" tab, and change the "immunities_sect" field to read "actor_immunities_gd_novice" (where you change "novice" to whatever difficulty you want to base your resistances on, novice is the easiest difficulty which gives the strongest resistances). Then when you launch the game next make sure you play on Master difficulty (or whatever difficulty you want to buff the weapons to). If you couldn't already tell, damage calculations are *very* intricate in STALKER games (hell, there are bullet resistance stats for people's EYE LIDS) so there is probably a more elegant solution I don't know of, but this is what I've got for you now. Edit: quick IMPORTANT note. If you are a steam user, you should use the 1.0005/1.0006 versions when installing the Actor.ltx file as the steam version of the game is already patched to 1.0005. Edit 2: So it turns out I was mixing up mechanics from multiple stalker games and need to rescind that solution. Pretty much the best thing you can do is either increase the hit_power of every weapon or increase the k_hit multiplier of every ammo type. That obviously also applies to enemies though. The last option I know of that wouldn’t make a damage buff apply to enemies as well would be to lower the time_to_aim stat. In STALKER games, you don’t deal max headshot damage until 1 second has passed. This was to simulate the time it takes to aim an actual gun at someone’s face but I think it’s dumb as shit and disable it myself. I have a tutorial on how to do that in clear sky (think it’s the same for SoC). th-cam.com/video/haUNnJ4a_WQ/w-d-xo.html
@@damaso9710 immunities can be found in each individual enemy's .ltx file. An example would be m_stalker.ltx found in the ~\gamedata\config\creatures directory. Then use Ctrl+F to search for "fire_wound_immunity" to locate the relevant line. Note that some enemies will have multiple levels of immunity. Using m_stalker as an example, that file has "stalker_immunities", "stalker_immunities_sakharov". and "stalker_immunities_tough". It is my understanding that these are 3 different resistance used for 3 different types of NPCs. "stalker_immunities" is for most stalkers (this is the sort of thing you want to change) while "stalker_immunities_sakharov" is for Sakharov in particular (note how he has a resistance of 0, meaning he is invincible. Don't change this), and lastly "stalker_immunities_tough" seems to be used for a tough boss-type enemy. I have no idea who exactly uses this resistance but all I can tell you is that they are build like a brick shithouse since they have 0.001 on most of their resistances (I have no idea if you should change this). You will find these various types of resistances for many creatures, just try to focus on the most generic versions of each creature and I would advise against changing anyone with values of 0. Just keep in mind that lower values mean STRONGER resistances. So if I want to make someone with a value of .001 more vulnerable to bullets I would change it to something like .5 or thereabouts.
For some reason my game keeps crashing after I installed the mod, im using win7 and the gog release of the game The error : "A crash has been detected by BugTrap This is XRay Engine crash reporting client."
That’s unfortunately a pretty vague error. Did you install any other mods? They could be conflicting. How far into the game did you play before crash? Was it on startup or were you actually in game? Other than that, you could try following the ZRP’s FAQ www.metacognix.com/stlkrsoc/TroubleshootingFAQ.html#PatchVersion If it’s crashing on startup, their advice is: Game won't start: First make sure you are actually starting the right game. Try to see if a log file was created. For details on the log file and how to interpret and fix the errors, see Crashes Still in the Patched Game. If the log is blank, the error log was never flushed to disk which suggests a low-level problem like a driver error. Other things to try: Disable EAX. Update your audio and video drivers. Try using "-dsound" as a command line parameter. Some mods break the video intro. Use "-nointro" as a command line parameter to skip the intro videos.
@@unit220 didn't expect you to reply, thanks btw, I did fix the problem. The crash was caused because i accidentally added an extra column or line while changing from false to true in the ltx file, after i fixed the mistake the game started without issue
Excuse me, but does it really work the ZRP fixing all the bugs in the game? since I have the version 1.0006 in steam but I did everything correct that you explained in your video and it seems that the ZRP did not correct me a bug that always closes my game, it is when I find a dead body and it has things that when using its things like bandages, food and everything else is freeze the game that is closes alone, what that happened to me? I do not understand.
Mauricio Frias The ZRP fixes *a lot* of things but I can’t tell you it’ll fix everything. No patch can ever guarantee that (that’s just how software development works). If you’re curious as to what the ZRP changes specifically then you’ll need to look into the documentation. Looking at it myself (here www.metacognix.com/stlkrsoc/BugsInSTALKER.html ) it seems that the bug you’re running into was introduced in the 1.0006 version of the game and that there is reportedly a fix for it in the unofficial patched DLL. The bad news is that I’m not sure what specific “unofficial patch” they’re talking about. I *think* it’s this patch ( community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/503-stalker-shadow-of-chernobyl-unofficial-patch-10008/ ) but I’m not sure (didn’t see the bug mentioned in the change logs but I was only skimming).
Do you have any other mods installed? They could cause issues. You could also try having steam verify the game cache in case you accidentally got rid of some important files (right click game->properties->local files->verify integrity...). Otherwise, I'd try to go through the steps again.
Salim Erdoğdu still works for me, what browser are you using? You could also search for it on google and find the page that way. It’s normally the top result when you search Zone Reclamation Project.
Salim Erdoğdu yep, I was about to say that sounds like a VPN solvable issue haha! Glad you got it working, let me know if you run into any other troubles.
@@unit220 I completely removed the game, re-installed, then followed the steps again and it fixed it... I must have added an extra space or something to the game data when you change it from false to true. So I'm good to go now. Thanks for the reply :)

@@unit220 Yeah no problem. I'm still looking for a solution to this but your video did help with the mod installation part so thanks anyway
I’ll try it, and check back if something is still wonky, thank you!
@@unit220 Thank you!
For some reason I am unable to open the modifier, this never has happened before.
For clarification, you’ve been able to open the modifier before but now it doesn’t do anything when you click the icon?

@@unit220 oh man I'm such an idiot. No there aren't achievements, feel like such a fool but thanks for your reply.
With the ZRP, can I change the NPCs received damage? To kill them easily than the vanilla game
Olexi Petrov Thank you so much! Brilliant answer! But where I can find “fire_wound_inmunity”
Take care and watchout with the coronavirus 😷🦠
Olexi Petrov Thank you so much men, I will try right now! Blesses to you
@@damaso9710 No problem, I'm happy to help. Let me know if you need anything else.
For some reason my game keeps crashing after I installed the mod, im using win7 and the gog release of the game
The error : "A crash has been detected by BugTrap
This is XRay Engine crash reporting client."
That’s unfortunately a pretty vague error. Did you install any other mods? They could be conflicting. How far into the game did you play before crash? Was it on startup or were you actually in game? Other than that, you could try following the ZRP’s FAQ www.metacognix.com/stlkrsoc/TroubleshootingFAQ.html#PatchVersion If it’s crashing on startup, their advice is:
Game won't start:
First make sure you are actually starting the right game.
Stalker won't start after installing the mod xd (steam version)
Do you have any other mods installed? They could cause issues. You could also try having steam verify the game cache in case you accidentally got rid of some important files (right click game->properties->local files->verify integrity...). Otherwise, I'd try to go through the steps again.
