Brother that V6 Sounds very nice. I don't understand why V8 Owners never get along with V6 owners. Both 3800's and Ls1's are both very durable engines. I will admit the Ls1 is an excellent performer but a 3800 gives quite a punch as well. I myself have a V6 and will see to getting an SS but keeping both cars. Really nice exhaust though brother, Keep it Up.
I honestly think some V6s sound really great compared to others. My brother is friends with someone that saw that I had cherrybombed my Durango, and next weekend he was over with his V6 Ford Taurus and he had done the same exact thing. He's kind of a copy cat, and he is fucking obnoxious at 10pm at night gunning it down our street and revving it, so I hate the kid, he's a druggie, but I have to admit, his V6 does NOT sound horrible. I definitely can think of some worst sounding V6s. A v6 camaro with some upgrades can sound a lot better, but I bet a completely stock Camaro would sound bad.
Everything about the LS1 is perfect, the LS1 by itself a masterpiece, gives you a peace of mind, highways mileage is perfect, reliability and availability of parts, "But" i am doing a swap from 3.4L to the 3800 series 2 and for one reason because the T56 is rare and expensive 4500 just for the transmission and part, I can't afford that, and I'd rather have a V6 stick shift than a V8 automatic there's nothing more enjoyable than a stick shift F-body it's just so much fun to drive, now i have to figure out the swap and it will take me some time, i hope the 3.8l is reliable and not just a rumor, 3.4L is a complete disaster
@@datboyfredie656 I'm still here lol, although the car is long gone. This was just pacesetter short headers, and a universal 2.25" X-pipe from summit racing. I had some 3" magnaflow tips I had laying around and turned them out before the rear tires. No mufflers or cats.
thanks, it sounds good. i gave pacesetter headers into 2 1/4" true dual x-pipe, then turned out before the rear wheels with 3" tips about 16" long. other than that just ram air intak, K&N filter, 4.10 gears and tuned it with HPtuners
That is without a doubt the best 3.8 f body sound I've heard. I just got my exhaust redone on mine. I have a 96 with obx headers and y pipe with a custom 2.5 inch catback through a magnaflow muffler. Sounds nowhere near as good as yours though.
exactly. heads/cam/bolt ons will put one mid 13's. hell i run a 14.7 now with bolt ons hears and street tires. that v8 mustang territory, which is sad really.
@ohiouser11101 nope just straight outta the headers into an X-pipe then out the sides. a set of dynomax bullets or short glasspacks might quite it down a tad if you dont want it stupid loud
yea pretty much it. Im hoping our track actually opens back up next year so i can run it. I ran 15.0 before the trues and gears, so im expecting a big improvement. mid 14's at least
yes I did it all myself. It's not hard it just requires some special routing. I have had a few people wanting to see the underside. i have some pictures somewhere i will try to find at least
on summitracing: xpipe: SUM-642122 headers: PSM-72C1209 they dont seem to have the painted ones anymore. painted headers can be had for about 225 or 250 tho
@crazytrain65 so is there a glass pack after the headers or is it just headers x-pipe then out the side with no muff? I'm looking at doing a similar setup on mine as well.
A lot of work for a 3800 but it came out well, in my years on YT I haven't seen a V6 Camaro with a side-exhaust...first time for everything I guess! Did you modify the suspension in any way (I know you listed all power/drive mods but I gotta ask) ? I liked that last sweeping left turn & the car behaved very well doing the speed you did, I run my V8 through fast turn all the time and am still amazed at how much handling F-Body Camaros have even with those stock 215/225mm? rims you got...
I wish my v6 sounded like this, what size pipe..lol this sounds killer..don't change a thing..I just cannot beleive it is not raspy, but it has that snarl that sounds epic!
Hey im puerto rican i'm just a 18 years old boy and sorry for my bad english, i have a camaro 3.8 l like yours. can i do it straigh pipes like yours ? and if i make it straigh ? the engine wont suffer or something ? this mean a lot for me can anyone help me here please ? thank's.
What mods are available for my car it is the same car except mine is blue in color . I have been looking to give it a little more horse power and torque..
i would love to know what you used i have a 1978 buick skylark with the 231 v6 in it would love to make it loud and proud lol Pm me if ya can thank you
And why is that pointless? It's no more pointless than everyone that tries to make a 4 cylinder car fast. And honestly, these 4th gen F-bodies with the 3800 have a lot more potential that most people realize. It's just a little harder for the V6 F-body crowd since they weren't embraced as well as the V8's by the aftermarket. Even V6 Mustangs have more available through the aftermarket than these, but we've made due. There's even been one V6 Firebird that ran in the 8's several years ago.
Max Reznichenko check out the links in the description now, 2 pictures are when I put the short glass packs on it, and the one with the transmission pan off you can see how it was setup in this video!
RptrKlr 60 it’s a very very very similar engine but closer to the TTA engine cause the TTA had low profile FWD heads for the same reason the 4th gens do but they really didn’t make a lot of change series 1 to series 2
@@cameronvandygriff7048 no. the engine you are thinking of came in the 1986-87(early 88) fwd cars. i have one. they were the last of the gn style engine. the ln3 came next, and the the 3800 series 1 came after the ln3.
Was considering getting dual for my 3.8, but honestly I already got a better, throatier sound coming from mine compared to this. Kinda makes me wanna turn away.

By far the best sounding v6 camaro I ever heard. Nice work crazytrain
thanks you sir!
Great sound
@@crazytrain65 Hey if you're still around. What exhaust did you have? I have a 2000 and I NEED mine to sound like this.

wish I did this to mine when I had it. best sounding one I've heard.
Dude I bet you really hear and feel that when you're driving. nice sound. Makes me want to do this with mine.

I always come bk to the sound of your Camaro, best sounding exhaust bro.
yooooo that sounds soo good. best sounding fbody 3.8 i ever heard. (btw i use to have a 99 v6 bird)
definitely. When i put headers on i gained like .4 in the quarter mile. it will do 6 second 0-60 now if i can catch decent traction
Still da Baddest sounding six I've ever heard!

That sounds like some of the V6 GMC school buses that were still around when I was a school student.
sounds amazing did it seem faster headers and exhaust honestly?

thank you!
Wow dats sounds amazing bro!
Reminds me of v6 sound back in high school s10s grand prix

@crazytrain65 wow sounds amazing!! Will this setup fit on my 97 camaro rs v6 3.8l if so where to get the duals from
yea pretty much it. Im hoping our track actually opens back up next year so i can run it. I ran 15.0 before the trues and gears, so im expecting a big improvement. mid 14's at least
Can you make me a short video of this exhaust with the fuel pressure vacuum line removed? And a view of the x pipe? I'd greatly appreciate it!!
@TheViny633 its loud. just cruising or taking it easy you can talk fine but like accelerating hard its hard to have a normal convo sometimes
yes I did it all myself. It's not hard it just requires some special routing. I have had a few people wanting to see the underside. i have some pictures somewhere i will try to find at least
Damn that's some good numbers. I hope I can get their soon!
what do you drive? an old 305tbi camaro or something? these cars are fast for being 6's and dont take much work to catch up to a whole lot of v8s
and air silencer delete and a bigger lid, that alone will make your intake louder and change exhaust note a tad
on summitracing: xpipe: SUM-642122 headers: PSM-72C1209

Does it have cats in this video cause this sounds really good for a 6
no cats, just pacesetter headers, 2.25 x-pipe and 3" tips
That sounds awesome
how load is it? like can you carry on a conversation without having to raise ur voice in the car?
This setup sounds absolutely nasty, sounds almost like a v8 at certain points. Can you tell me your setup? All of it lol

Am I bad to say it sounds like a V8?
PremiumGamerRS she did sound good!
crazytrain65 Lol.
your car sounds almost exactly like my 96. except mines split after the factory cat to four inch tips out the rear. my neighbors hate me now
That ain't a v6 that's a mini v8 Lol sounds Fucking MEAN!
haha thanks!!
did you install catalytic converters? if so how?
I need this set up !
What mods are available for my car it is the same car except mine is blue in color . I have been looking to give it a little more horse power and torque..
Can you post the part # for the headers and x-pipe please?
why not put up a video of your setup? what is it? my car doesnt sound exactly like this anymore, i put 12" glasspacks on it to quiet it down
yes it was awful i scraped everywhere. I changed it a bit to help with the clearance issues.
Sounds goooood bo think I may have gotten a chub
@crazytrain65 great, and thats all youre running? once again, it sounds nasty!
how much would all this cost you?
It actually sounds remarkably like a Grand National.

fam 2016 she was straight piped. headers back to an X, 2.25" piping

Sounds like an ME-109
Nice

cool story bro, seems like everyone else likes it alright. It's no LS but it wasnt bad for a 6'er. Keep hatin and I'll keep laughin
