There was a point where I realized all of my confusion about systems and rituals was pride, pure unadulturated pride and desire to subjugate. Once I broke through that and began following your book, it empowered the LBRP even more as it then became an opportunity to let go of my ego, and trust and surrender to a greater part of myself than my pride.

It's actually really cool how the LBRP works in that it makes it really hard to ignore what's keeping you from progressing. In this case your pride. It's really rare that people who have too much pride will realize that they have too much pride.

Not only just how you touched on so well in this episode--I think its especially important (more than EVER in our current age of conveying a message in 30-60 seconds like YT Shorts,; or with Twitter, 160 characters or less; ETC ETC),
I think it'd be prudent to inform the current-day/"modern" recipients of this knowledge---and considering the shortened attention span as well as the lack of time divided by the amount of distractions in this modern world----to expand just a little bit more as far as the detail of some thinking they can do things like the LBRP for example. Processes that can be so useful for some, due to media, movies, ETC., it is very much possible in days such as the Quickening time we are currently living in-for an individual teach themselves or BE taught something like the LBRP... And they may execute the ritual flawlessly, as far as going through the motions, saying the right words, ETC., however if these individuals do not understand that the LBRP is ACTUALLY doing on the Mental or Astral plane/energetic/etheric body LEVEL; my concern with "armchair magicians" is that instead of delving a little deeper, into the more ESOteric meanings... b
(I am not rambling-im about to tie all this together, i promise!)
While i do understand with your take in this video as the incorporation of "blinds" in occult writings---a "red herring" for those who pry the ancient thomes simply to use for their own gain-or, 'left-hand'... Or 'Black' operations.... Thus being why we do not cast pearls before swine---i get it.
I just think that those of us like ourselves who have dedicated a large part of our time on earth to accomplish the Great Work.... Would be prudent perhaps using green language/language of the birds---speaking in a way those who are intended to hear it would get it-but Cowan's would not---
but the simple act of helping neophytes understand that for lack of a better tern, the "psychosomatic" effect of why these things work, which you did approach the topic in this first video-maybe by explaining this may help some to understand why they're not "getting results", as most want immediate results within the ritual, and their doubt even in the small amounts-will throw off their entire ritual; since they may understand that the same inner voice casting the doubt is the same inner voice that just did the ritual, in my view rendering the whole operation MOOT.
Just like sigil magic; where after charging the talisman or sigil-you MUST destroy it-symbolic for forgetting about it.
When they do not forget about it, allowing the thought form to actually manifest itself, they will continue to let that innervoice run amok: "i HOPE that worked" or "i wonder if that worked??" this is a big no-no!
I just think by describing the psycho-somatic-like effect of Ceremony and Ritual...
I have found it works really well to give the example that when you buy a car..... You aren't consciously LOOKING for similar cars to yours by make and model..... But one might SWEAR they are seeing their exact same very similar cars on the road, en masse.
It’s just that the subconscious mind is not synching with the conscious mind…
      It seems very strange to those who DONT Understand;
But once its explained that largely magical operation work in this very similar way; except you are CONSCIOUSLY looking or just being open to the system of Synchronicity that presents itself each day- and by simply understanding the 'basics' of the cognitive back-end of what i like to call things in the Occult such as ritual. Talismans, sigils, Ceremony, Tarot, ETC.
Would love any input or feedback from you on the topic!
Keep up such a great job in the Great Work my friend!
      Stay facing East!

It might be better to ditch the ideas of right and wrong and simply begin to notice how systems of magic can be self-contradictory and at odds with the manifestation process. Even when they have kinks and ignorant errors in them, they can still work. However, the greater harmony between inner and outer, the more powerful the magic becomes.

The brain is a fine instrument to navigate this world, but is terribly blind and darn near useless in the others. At least in my experience. In the process of remote viewing, the conscious mind frequently tries to get in the way, to "fix" things. This usually results in incorrect information.

Thank you for sharing your insights on your video - add this to the long list "thank you's" in this comments section... However, I have a few elementary questions for you, if I may... In taking such an interesting yet contenious position I feel for sake of learning and discussion these questions naturally arise.
    1. So do you consider yourself a purist/traditionalist when you approach your own praxis?
    2. You proclaim yourself 'initiate', presumably you have sworn oaths at several intervals to not divulge secrets or gnosis attained - either to a group or to an audience beyond the physical/ or both. Yet you share your understandings here? Why? And what of your oaths?
    3. Without using the answer "use your intuition"... 'Why should we believe you?' I feel is a just question given your claims. How do we know you are not a 'blind' or misleading gatekeeper yourself?
    4. Are you suggesting that pracitioners like Crowley, who left the GD also "fell" for outer-order blinds/traps by creating their own systems? Along with many, many others. How do you reconcile the differences in systems that sprung out of the GD lineage as direct decendants?
    5. One of the more glaring intellectual hurdles modern day aspirants face when canvasing GD gradework is the seemingly insurmountable assigned periods of gradework. Did you yourself complete the traditional timeframes for each grade or practice? Do you expect those who approach GD material in the 'information age' to spend years performing solitary basic rites before proceeding to more advanced rituals or ceremonies? When more advanced practices are a google, TH-cam, or book search away? Forgive me, but in revealing your 'inner' understandings there suggests a contradiction in your teaching between - 'doing the actual work and not deviating to come to these findings yourself' - and 'well here's the secret'
    6. How would you suggest a self-initated solitary practioner evolve beyond the GD 'Portal Grade' toward 5=6? Let alone complete the gradework that got them there without a group?
    7. You seem to imply that the trap is to "trap yourself in your own head..." In order to come to certain relevations or connections along the path isn't an amount of 'critical thinking' required in order to connect-the-dots?
    8. I'm glad you touched on Mercury, however when we consider Hod, and all it has to teach us - is there not intellectual components as part of the evolution? What of the element of Air as well? Perhaps you could follow up this discussion with what role the intellect plays on the path, if any? Unless you disagree?
    9. I get the intuitive sense, that your channel seeks to demystify and deoccult much of this subject matter, nobly. How do you think the secret chiefs, leaders, or teachers (past and present) would feel about the distribution of this information to the masses? Is this 'inner knowledge' in anyway dangerous in the wrong hands? How can humanity benefit from it?
    10. There is seems to be an unusual ancient archaic evolution, then progressively lost devolution, then re-emergence in the interest of mystery traditions throughout history... Do you see the GD system as the pinnacle of ceremonial magick? Do you believe these systems, frameworks, and even the current itself will endure in its present form?

Thanks for such a thoughtful response! I'll answer the first three questions...
      1. Neither, but such perspectives have value.
      2. External interpretation: I have violated my oaths. Internal interpretation: The only true violation of the oath consists of passing along an external understanding of the mysteries as though it really is an internal understanding. Now that's what really counts as vulgar. 👹
      3. That's a good question that I'd suggest YOU answer. If this stuff is legit, how can someone recognize it as such? For therein lies the key to a great many things! (Roll of thunder... 😄)

    • @greymagickdragon
      @greymagickdragon 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thats ok Lyam, thank you for answering 1-3, I hope the other questions didn't offend you. They come from a sincere place of student inquiry and I think they remain valid even if left unanswered.
There are so many self proclaimed initiates on TH-cam that I believe a degree of scrunity comes with the terrority. It becomes difficult to know who to trust for guidance or shared experience along the path.
Your channel is one of the few that addresses areas of confusion. Arguably some of the most difficult conversations happen around these topics. So I commend you for it.
I suppose my only real gripe is the frequent contradictions. One hand, you appear to encourage those toward a GD framework and to use the system as it was intended i.e. not to change things. But (by your own admission) on the other hand, you have broken the oaths of that tradition and you don't follow the traditional approach yourself. So it becomes slightly problematic/suspicious/hypocritical from an analytical perspective. Particularly when one minute you're experience-based then next minute dogma-based. To that end, cultivating the latter seems neglible in favor of data.
Look you're hardly the first nor will be the last. I often catch myself in contradiction and I feel most are guilty of it.
So please don't take offence when I say under cross examination, you tend to appeal to the authority of the term 'initiate'. I just think it's vital not to underestimate your auidence (on all planes) as you are not the only initiate or guide. Nor undermine other systems you aren't an initiate of.
You have every right to be selective about the questions you wish to answer or not. However, my view is - in the end, the truth catches up with us all. Theres no debating truth. Those who lay their foundation in truth, be open to addressing scrutiny, and have nothing to hide seem to ultimately leave a long-lasting and enduring message. I often appreciate an author that prefaces the 'expanding' field of discovery rather than a case-closed book.
I have no doubt you are a genuine practitioner and that your intentions are noble - but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. You once said grade systems helped gradually dissolve the individual's ego progressively - and to me that makes alot of sense when dealing with psychospiritual transformation. By the same analogy, you wouldn't send a novice diver into the most advanced cave dives in the world before learning the basics, correct?
If you are earnest in your mission of unveiling 'secrets' publicly - I think equally you have a responsibilty for testing the veracity of your claims against the crucible of public debate.
Clearly, in one form or another your aim is to raise collective awareness of the material as a public occult figure. I think it's fair to address intellectualism as a barrier as you have but what about the subjective experience trap? Can you say honestly say that your interpretations are definitive?
It's when we can link our lesser individual subjective experiences/interpretations to a greater objective shared experience that I personally find amazing. When connections are made organically. I think the GD reconcilled much, but not all.
And through that, my current understanding is that it's ok to not lock oneself into a rigid system, framework, or praxis and be open to being flexible or wrong as a way to grow through practice.
So, I guess what i'm saying is... If my questions are 'wrong' or 'invalid' feel free to correct me because i'm open to being wrong myself. I'd be a hypocrite otherwise.
"A true master is an eternal student."

@@greymagickdragon When I speak to librarians, I often come across this kind of reasoning. The issue of contradictions is easily dealt with. There is simply a larger framework at work here. It encompasses both the outer work and the inner work. This also indicates that there are two truths going on (at least!). Not just one.
      1. Outer: The non-initiate must stick to his schooling somewhat dogmatically (we have to assume that they don't know what's good for them yet--even if they might).
      2. Inner: The initiate creates their own rules (There comes a point where the principles of magic shift from becoming overlords to mere tools in the magicians hands. In addition, the initiate can clearly discern which principles to use and which one's to bow to--moment to moment).
The goal is to get from #1 to #2 (even though there really isn't any place to get to). It's important to understand that there are multiple kinds of truth yet to explore, not just one. And that's not a problem for those who seek the ultimate truth. The ultimate, single truth still governs them all somehow, mysteriously. The adept learns to embody that mystery. This means he can never really speak the truth if he chooses to open his mouth. The truth can be expressed, moment to moment, but never pinned down in words.

It’s be easier to trust the system as it is if the Golden Dawn hadn’t fallen apart & if one of its most outspoken characters- Crowley- wasn’t such a bizarre narcissist. Lmao. I wanted so badly the validation that the path I was going down would be worthwhile before I got into this. I never really felt that certainty, but I was still curious, so my compromise was to stay a neophyte indefinitely lol. I’ve already tweaked stuff though so maybe neophyte isn’t the right word 😂 I add sandalphon below and metatron above and Yeshua within during the LBRP. And I use the Hebrew godname for tipareth- Jehovah Aloah Va Daath for the middle pillar instead of the Egyptian abbreviation IAO. So I’ve been messing with the system since almost the beginning. I’m probably effing over the process for myself but idk? I feel immediate relief from anxiety after I practice & mental stillness. I think a lot of people who get into this stuff have a hard time with rules in general, myself included.

Those are ok. As long as you understand what we intend with the names used originally? I read that Metatron can be used from Damon Brand, but when I tried to use his method, I simply did not get the same results. Probably because there isn't a 5th and 6th element to assign him and Sandalphon to? No idea. I have also adapted the names with other names, including Jehovah and Ashera. I am not saying that can't be done, but I simply did not have a full understanding of the LBRP or LBRH to begin altering it.
And yes, I struggled deeply with the failings of people like Crowley, but realized later that Crowley had his own system and his own intentions later on that weren't entirely in line with his earlier work. It can easily feel like a lot in the system doesn't "make sense". For example, I know much too much about the tarot and it's history, so the GD system of having Strength and Justice exchange places is a bit hard for me to swallow. The original system meant that the cards aligned with each other in 2 split groups of 11 cards. I think Crowley just did what he did to be an anarchist sometimes. LOL, I will never know.

This is a terrible take on veganism. And I'm not sure where you're getting your nutrition data from. Veganism is not trying to stop all the murder in the world. It's trying to stop animal cruelty. If nature took it's course without human intervention and technology, there wouldn't be 80 billion land animals slaughtered every year and one to three trillion fish.
Veganism is trying to correct the over-intellectualism of the animal ag industry. They took a curvy river of animals and tried to turn it into a straightened out slaughter machine for convenience and lots of money. Money on the backs of suffering animals. Tens of billions simply bred to be slaughtered.
We wouldn't stand for this if it were humans, but because we have a prejudice against other species and a superiority complex, we assume it's okay to do with animals as we please.

You may "choose" to focus on them, but even the idea to choose popped into your head automatically, without your own accord.

The animal kingdom, does not do near the amount of destruction, as humans do. For the most part, they keep the Earth in homeostasis. What we do with animals and the planet does NOT keep it in homeostasis. We should probably try to correct that.

I had a thought while you were comparing the metric system with the imperial system. I have also heard and personally considered the human element of the imperial system, which is based loosely on the human body. We might say the metric system is colder and less human, because its system of measurement is based on logic, being “easy to remember” as you said.
Perhaps the primary difference here is that one system originates from the mind, while the other originates from the body. Perhaps one system is not better than the other, or even more human than the other. Both systems originate from humans. This means that our bodies and apparent subtle bodies respond instinctively to a clockwise motion as an abundance-producing action. This is why Golden Dawn temples in the Southern Hemisphere, like in New Zealand, continued to circumambulate clockwise for building things up.

This is a good example of the intellectual schematic applying itself before the inner experience of a demon can arise. That's how blinds work, of course, and blinds are important when they function that way. However, what a demon is cannot be captured so easily. For now, I'd say that you can visualize yourself in a NESTED hierarchy. Anything that you can circumscribe with your awareness is held within you (and can be evoked), and anything that is beyond your ability to circumscribe cannot be held within. It simply fills you up in rising and falling tides. Such forces...that are beyond your ability to "contain"...would be invoked.
The framework I just gave does not really capture the experience, but it might get us a little closer what's going on beneath the thinky mind.

This is actually an interesting point. I have thought about it a lot. But I don't think it really holds truth. (Never watched Matrix, I'm referring to the general idea of "going back after enlightenment)
If you see your whole life is a "lie", well, in this magical path, there would be no going back. Try to go back living in the lie and forgetting the truth? Well, how? There's no one to make a pact to to forget, you've already learned it. If you try, well, you will recognise it in yourself you are being foolish.
But going further, the "regret" I or you would think about right now that you would have doesn't actually exist. You won't really have it. It exists at an unenlightened state, but after the veil comes off you will see through even the "entity" which holds the regret you or I think I would have. Meaning the regret won't actually exist. Only if you cling to it, but that's because the state we are right now.
I would say you simply have to trust that yes, the truth on the other side is very "different", but it is liberating. There is no going back, yes, but if we are honest, if there was any going back then this "truth" wouldn't hold much weight.
Things that hold "weight" in life are things you transform you. Making by mistake green tea and not black tea is not an important event, you can go back and make another one. Truly important events are ones that impact you in a way that is not undoable. (Both positively and negatively)

Are you asking about how to "weaken" them? They exhaust themselves when you keep them from recycling. Awareness freezes them in their tracks. But of course, if you try to apply awareness as a weapon "against" them, you'll just banish them into a firmer, reinforced position "out there."

@@francofiori926 That is a really good question. This is part of the one-taste experience. All demons "taste" the same. They persist off of the feeling of affrontedness. You only need to face down a few demons before you realize they're all pretty much the same. When they arise in your behavior, it is because the sense of affrontedness you feel has been mistaken for something real. Once that happens, its the same as the snake mistaking its tail for a foreign object--and subsequently chasing after it (to eat it or destroy it or fuck it or whatever).
And this means that there is only one true "master demon," the demon of affrontedness. Choronzon. The fear of being snuffed out of existence by something external. That demon is not outside the magic circle. It is you. Lucifer frozen in a lake of ice. Deal with him, and you "destroy" them all.

@@lyamchristopher2393 I am not sure about the part “lbrp and invoking angels will grow demons against you”. I found it’s the opposite; unless they were already angry or sent by some satanist. For example if one has a demon mark or a demonic pact and then start to call angels and go full rhp with gd etc. , THAT can make demons furious. First solve your pacts and issues with demons, then you start invoking Angels and do white magic or Abramithic rituals and religions.
