The way i see it, Gabriel is going to spend a lot of time gaining more Knowledge & that gives Chastity time to go "stepping out" for more Romance...She could actually get away without him finding out. Totally.
The last time I played this neighborhood I also noticed that Geoff's closet is full of women's clothing! The only Sims he knows when you start are men (except for his sister). I love that they left us clues to discover the personalities of the Sims.

I always found it weird that Maxis seemed to base a lot of the expansion families on their original base game families. I mean, the Goodie guy even has the same first name as Herb Oldie! Not every old man is called Herbert, Maxis! 😂

What I'm currently doing in Riverblossom Hills is that I merged all playable Elders (the two from the Viejo Household, Dora Ottomas and the Goodies) into one household and play them as kind of a Golden Girls shared home. I built a nice house with lots of rooms for each of them and try to get as much fun and drama into what remains of their lifes :)

I feel like you would be an amazing story writer for Paralives. Have you ever reached out to Alex and the team to introduce yourself so they know who you are? At least you might get a reviewer copy or some press kit for the next big progress announcement! But if you're interested....you could contribute so much to the game with your in-depth lore knowledge of the Sims 2. Maybe act as a consultant and agree to be interviewed? I know Alex said once that he wasn't comfortable accepting volunteer work so maybe he might even be willing to pay you for your time!

I always make my elder sims - especially goodies that didn't get to have kids- become simplants to grow a baby and then after they become adults i turn them back into humans. That way there is someone to take over the property and it's especially useful with skilled sims
as a child, i couldn´t handle my sims dying so when their time was about to come i put them in an empty lot (everyone) and never played them again.

I dont play much with the premade hoods, but your last video on belladonna cove intrigued me sooo:
- Polly married Carlos, and I imagined he made her sign a prenup so now they have twin girls as a little extra 'insurance' (Their names are Rosalie and Azalea)
- The two in town teens went for a few days through school and now are college roommates.
- Both of the witch sisters died in a fire. Oops.
- Mr.Cleveland got caught cheating. He and Marisa aren't divorced yet because she's still going a little coocoo bananas
- Basically: everyone's either pregnant or miserable

A little gameplay thing i do with gay sims is surrogacy. I do the process through the sim blender. I find a close friend or relative to carry the child and use the sim blender (Or any other modded object that can do this ) to combine the genetics of her and one of the gay sims and then once she gives birth, i give the gay couple the baby and set it as their child in the family tree. The surrogate also gets paid by the couple just like in real life. It’s a bit complicated but a good way for gay sims to pass genetics in a completely realistic way!

thaone also um, trans men (and gay trans men) exist and do get pregnant. In real life. Not that most trans men like to get pregnant, but it’s weird to imply that it’s less realistic than alien abductions when it... actually happens.
Mercaptan I loveeee my trans brothers and sisters, but i was referring to cis gay men who can’t get pregnant like the ones in her video specifically. I was just sharing what i do when it comes to my biologically male gay sims having biological children. Male pregnancy is an amazing option for a trans storyline though and i’m glad that it’s able to happen with game mods :) ❤️
@@thaone8381 Yeah, it's also an interesting opportunity even for the alien pregnancies of the Maxis characters. Maybe all the curious brothers are trans! I was just saying that male pregnancy isn't more absurd than alien pregnancy. Because the former actually happens!

The Newsons really are a challenge to play for me, even with all their money! Especially at first. I almost lost Gabriella to the social worker because her grades got so bad :( but I really like the Newson kids, especially as they get older. Adult Gabriella is stunning.
Dramatisims played this town awhile back. It was hilarious. She likes to host parties in her game. Beware of Jessica. She likes to fight at parties. And also there was always someone taking a bath at a party. So funny 😂

I always loved the challenge of the Newsons. I play it straight with the teens just trying to survive with their family until adulthood

Soo, you inspired me to play in this neighborhood, and so far this is the biggest drama I've created there: I got Carlos to romance both of the Cordial sisters, and later let them see him cheat with Jessica Petterson. In my mind, they felt very betrayed and became witches to get a revenge on him. After they were done tormenting his life with spells, I wanted them to move on and look for new partners. Samantha ended up with Gabriel Green, but I've planned something a little bit more exciting for Kimberly, as she's supposed to be the "evil" twin ;) She learned spells that let her destroy relationships and erase memories of other sims, soI she used them on Ramir Patel. Currently he doesn't remember who he is and thinks that Kimberly is his girlfriend. I think it creates a really interesting scenario for the Patel family, as this way I have to play with a single mother whose husband went missing :P

I really like the Newson family and I did add them to a neighborhood years ago (before my old computer gave up the ghost). Since they had a nice bit of cash I moved them into a decent house. I had Gavin get an afterschool job and the teen girl Ginger stayed home after school to look after the little ones. By the time the toddlers were children poor Gavin was being run ragged and Ginger was hovering in the red because she wanted to date and kiss and there just wasn't time for that!
In my prosperity neighborhood I rolled a similar family when I started. I had three boys, 1 teen, 1 child, 1 toddler. They were tough, especially since the nanny was there from morning til night watching over the younger boys.
I love all the info and your insights on these neighborhoods even if I'll probably never play them. Sims 2 is one of my all time favorite games.

I learned just yesterday that giving sims a secondary aspiration or just giving them anything in their aspiration category, for some reason, changes the attraction amount to other sims . It’s weird

I had Chastity become a vampire, and Mary, who is super religious and superstitious in my game, become enemies with her. Isaiah and Sally had a teenage pregnancy, Ginger got together with Connor, and Gabriel had an affair with Ana after his ex Samantha divorced him and married Geoff.
This town just BREEDS drama lol

Funny, I had already put the Newsons kids in that same trailer before you posted this lol. Did boys on one side and girl on the other. I let them keep the money because I think of it as inheritance. Definitely a challenging family with the toddlers and teenagers. The middle kids where happy and playing in the playground while the teenagers were deprived and babies were hungry and learning skills. I would send the teens to school a few hours late for extra sleep, homework time, or to potty train. Things got a lot easier when the babies grew into kids. Bedding situation got tight lol. Was debating whether to move them into a bigger home or keep them there until I send them to college.
I think Ana Patel's bio is hinting at her having 10 kids, since that is a want you roll eventually with the family aspiration. Now *that* in an apartment.. Love it!
And maybe Marissa is supposed to end up with her brother's roommate? 😁
Loved the video. I always use the Sim Blender to put the Newson kids and toddlers up for adoption. Then I turn the teens into townies. Once in a while I will play them bu they are not my favorite.
That's definitely another good way to handle them!

So I actually ended up doing my own little spin-off situation with Jessica Peterson. Fixed her up and made her essentially rethink her life and such, get a better job, become a writer and fall in love with a random dude named Neil. They moved out, had a boy named Connor, Neil cheated and she divorced him, fell in love with a vampire (yup.) And had a daughter named Rosavalda (I'm a D&D nerd who plays Curse of Strahd for you fellow nerds). I gave her the second aspiration for family as well. She started up a business and got with Gabriel. That's currently where I'm at. On the side, at her store, I noticed a sim checking her out. I decided to have her made a move, since her vampy husband just died and I wanted her to move on. Well turns out Ramir Patel was married-whoops. So I essentially said sorry to Ana by going in, having her break up for cheating, and she had her baby and got with Timothy. She now has another baby and lives with him and Sally, who is now a gothic lesbian teen (who I plan on pairing with Rosavalda Peterson). Ana had a girl who I named Terisa, and if I can remember correctly they're having another one on the way currently. It's been a bit, since I took a break from Belladonna cove to play my own gothic family in Desiderada Valley. Thanks for sticking around for my story, hope it was entertaining in some way, cause the vampire stuff with Jessica Peterson was an impulse move made when I was half-awake lmao

omg I was waiting for this because Belladonna Cove is my fav neighbourhood, I didn't know the Patels could have just one baby, when I play them they always have twins, a girl and a boy. One thing I do is to move the Larson twins (from Open for business) into this neighbourhood, so Jason ends up marrying Jessica Peterson and Josie marries Armand. I also like to give Jessica a different life, in my game she became a Criminal mastermind because it was her Lifetime want, and finally became a millionaire, all thanks to her hard work. Real character development right there 😂
This is such a fun series! Thank you for this. I really hope you do bluewater village and the college hoods next. Most bin families relate to a specific neighborhood (Oldie and Burbs for Pleasantview, OMackey, Ottomas and Ramaswami for Riverblossom Hills etc.) but there are two bin families that came with the Pets expansion pack and that pack specifically did not have any new neighnorhood sub-hood, college etc. but it did have 2 new bin families, the Critter and Roseland family, the critter one just dogs so its easy to justify having them be adopted by any family but the Roseland has a sim named Cyd as well as a dog. So I'm really curious about what you do with that bin family. Do you just ignore/delete them ?( i know you shouldn't delete bin families, but I mean with like a clean template )Do you add them to a specific neighborhood? Do you treat them as townies? You have such great ideas for a lot of these families so I'm really curious about that. Also, do you do anything with that random Traveller family with their slightly obnoxious backpacks and sunglasses?
Also, do you think about timelines for these neighborhoods at all? Like do you consider Belladonna Cove to take place later than Pleasantview since it has a giant statue of Bella on it?
Sorry for all the questions I just really enjoy how thoughtful you were with these sims and wanted to get your takes on a lot of these ideas.
Honestly, I never play the families that came with Pets. I use clean templates and disabled stealth 'hoods so they don't show up in any of my 'hoods. I consider the timeline to be the same for all the 'hoods. I like to think the status was commissioned by some wealthy benefactor who was moved by Bella's disappearance. Thank you for watching!

First time I got back to TS2 I instinctively moved Newsons in the same trailer you did and it was intense at first, but now every other family seems bland 😂(except for Ottomas whom I squeezed into Sentinel apartments)
Ginger became bffs with Sally Riley(whom I paired with David Ottomas) and Gallagher and Etsu are friends too
This series is very entertaining and I love your methodical approach, i think it's so clever and incorporates game's strong sides perfectly
Also it made me revisit BG hoods I never really appreciated as a kid and must admit the level of detail there is impressive, even the buildings look more cohesive than in later ones
Although I love apartments and the sheer magnitude of Belladonna Cove, these two things easily make it the best hood since BG for me

I always get my elderly sims to move to an old people’s home. Maybe a younger sim could also live there to care for them. Currently one of my elder sims is working on building a robot to care for them :)
My usual gameplay involves Carlos and Jessica getting together and just being career focused, Carlos wants an heir to continue so Jessica agrees but hires a nanny to care for the child.
Gabriel and Samantha usually get together and Kimberly and Armand get together and have children, Tara goes to college and when she graduates she moves back in with Armand and then I move her out into a really expensive house on her own.
With the Patels they have 4+ children and move them into a different house.
For the Newsons, I merge them with the goodies so that the toddlers can be looked after while the children and teens can succeed. The goodies are knowledge sims so they have the outlook that education is the most important thing.
Never play Connor or Geoff, gavigan or Cleveland x

I love how wishes and fears work in Sims 2. It's a way for the player not to get bored with the game, create new stories and continue to progress in the life of his Sims. That's playing with life! Sorry for my bad English, I'm Brazilian 😅
It's so interesting to see how others choose to play!! In the past I've had Kimberly and Armand marry each other, have kids, and live in Armand's huge apartment. There's just something about Kimberly being an evil witch and Armand being a family sim (and ridiculously rich) that I find really entertaining. Oh and of course I make sure that Kimberly and Tara don't get along, to create some more drama 😈😈
Another idea. I have had the Goodies adopt the Newson clan and raise them. I also put the Newsons in a trailer, hit speed 3 and sat back. The kids were taken by a Social Worker (my method of putting them in the adoption poo)l, Ginger had a nervous breakdown, and the teen boy (forget his name) went to college and did well.
I love the idea of having the Goodie's adopt the Newson's - or even having them run an orphanage!
To make the Goodies less boring and give the Newson-kids a new chance to have a family, I lately put them together. It worked really good for all of them.
You really inpired me to play with family in this town, because of when I preview all family myself first time I was dissapointed. I cant realise hidden stories and drama. But you realy bump my vision on this town and really want to start play to it vith a big pleasure!

I like playing the Newson family by taking the 40k and splitting it between kids with the online banking mod. and if they decide to work half their paycheck goes into it. And I like to leave them about 3k -4k {depending on where they move post furnishing and renting} for their expenses.

I make the Goodies adopt the Newson family lol- I usually build them a house out of the way somewhere and skill up the teens and then send one of them to college at the very least
I love Chasity as well, and I often take steps to not get her and Gabriel together, such as Put in Friendzone or whatever its called in ACR because I feel like despite being attracted to him, Chasity doesn't want to ruin their friendship by ultimately dating and dumping him, but with them having autonomously fallen in love outside the household this was perfect for them! At least for now :P And who knows, maybe they'll have a happy but secret filled life together.... or maybe it'll go down in flames >:)
I agree with the Patels, they are fairly boring once they have a baby. I usually move them out during her second pregnancy, using some of that cash and her want for more children to move them into a bigger place.
I freakin love the Newsons, I have no idea why, but they've been one of my favorite families since the beginning. Maybe it's the challenge? And possibly also because they are, imo, very close refusing to be separated or let someone else come in and take over raising the little ones, and I love close knit families. I play it as they are trying everything they can not to go back into the system, they are going to stick together as a family and look out for each other no matter what they have to sacrifice to do so. My biggest pet peeve with them is that I like the two oldest to take turns on staying home with the little ones and the game always tries to default it into being Gavin. I get that he's read game wise as a little older, but Ginger's Family aspiration and same age status means I think she and Gavin go back and forth on who's staying home with the little ones that day.
Oh, and I also usually decide they inherited a house, because that just makes sense to me, which usually kills some of their funds and forces at least one of teens to get a job. Because again, challenge!
You get bored with Patels?!?!?! Maybe it's because I made them have 3 kids (all boys love them all) but they are one of my favs alongside Baldwins...

I like to move the Newsons and the Goodies in together- the Goodies don't have any kids, and the kids don't have any parents, so it makes sense to me- this old couple took pity on the kids and took them in. Wholesome :D
i almost always hook up connor with geoff. they already live together and i think it’s more wholesome lmao. i also like moving the new sons in with the goodies so it’s like the goodies adopt them
I was throwing together a spreadsheet for Belladona Cove and I want the Goodies to adopt a Townie boy, either Luc Shin or Todd Johnston. That way, we'd have matches for every child in town.
I seriously love your videos. Your playstyle matches mine closer than any other TH-camr. I have grown up with the sims throughout my life since 2002. I haven't played Sims 2 in 10+ years but you make me want to install it again. Keep up the good work!
I absolutely love these play order videos. I have very little experience or knowledge of the expansion hoods, but you're really informative and entertaining, so this is a great way to get to know them. Watching the first three a few days ago also led me to check out your Pleasantview series, and although I only intended to watch the first season to see how you set everything up, I really can't stop watching it. I've been playing my own created sims recently, but your videos really make me want to have another go at playing the pre-made households.

Yes the high amount of money bothered me as well. I just used the money to restyle their homes and to make their homes prettier. After doing that the amount of money was okay, at least more suitable for the situation

I really lov your videos, you're great company for sleepless nights! I watched part one last night and now this one. I have a newfound appreciation for sims 2 with you! The times when I actually played sims 2 i was way too young to understand what was going on (I started playing it at 10!) and then with sims 3, although I love the game, definitely the one i played most, the stories kinda get lost, I feel... I have been playing sims 4 now and to be honest, I never really connected with the game before but I'm giving it a try, but i might just re-install sims 2 some time soon!

When I first played the Patel family as a kid they were angry at each other which brought a different dynamic because they were pregnant
I loved all of these videos! I watched and played along with them all because I never knew what the game wanted me to do. So I'm glad you did this that way I could kind of play a certain way since sometimes I don't know what to do.

I know it's crazy but I have hardly ever played any premade sims. I have used them in my gameplay or stories as friends, lovers or had my sims marry them but otherwise I just leave the townies as is. I do love adding mods that enable story progression because I don't play with the townies so that they can live their lives as my family moves on as well. This is easier, imo, with TS4 but I have had some crazy stuff go down in TS3 before lmao.

I love that Sims 2 had a gay coded love story, in this town, long before Sims 3 put them into their store towns. This will probably be my favorite household, for this neighborhood. #fan
