Yeah All out Attacks are meant to be the stun-finisher which is why they look the same during the attack, as the end screen adds the personal flair. My favorite is Makoto, and the most stylish to me is either Violet or Oracle. Also Strikers and Royal are both different takes on the continuation of the original Persona 5. Royal is a combination of new content that retroactively added to Persona 5, in order to unlock the TRUE END, which all happens during the “3rd” segment (worded this way to avoid spoilers) aka the Royal part of P5R. It also bundled all the DLC which made the game as easy as you wanted it to be. Strikers is a direct sequel and separate game to the original Persona 5. Has nothing to do with Royal. There’s also Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight if you crave more character interactions and such. Highly recommend you give Persona 5 Royal a try. The music, style, flair, characters, and overall vibe will capture you like crazy. There are also romance options and you have to go for the all-romance. It’s worth it not only for the interactions, but also for one down the line. I think you two would get a kick out of it, even if you don’t play it on stream (it’s a rather long game). Mara always leaves a inpression thats for sure. U have to keep in mind that all the enemies/personas in Persona/SMT are all based on world myth or famous stories(like Zorro) so its not just something they made up. If u want to see some fun stuff, try looking up the PersonaQ love dungeon footage, especially about how the dungeon matches u with your teammates(regardless of gender) to get married. Its exstremely hilarious and they really went all out with the little details.
I think Mara distracted you from the best AOA being Akechi. He has two. One says “My soul interest is uncovering the truth” but his second one says “I decide the truth”. Side note: the twin girls splash screen says “Don’t be so cocky”. That’s because they just killed the player lol Consider checking out the copyright free persona 5 openings if you want something more goofy and fan made.
Love these so much! A little bummed the Strikers portion didn't have any of the music from Daredevil, it's such a fantastic song. I hope they check out content from Persona Q and Persona Q2, I absolutely love those game's opening MVs. The fact that the singers from Persona 3, 4, and 5 collabed for Persona Q2's opening "Road Less Taken" makes it my favorite Persona opening theme.
About the yo-yo girl: This is not a spoiler since you get to know it pretty much at the beginning of P5 Strikers, but she's actually Sophia, an A.I. from a virtual assistant app for smartphones. Think Alexa or Siri if they had a cute anime avatar and you're halfway there. Remember the scene in the P5 openings video where the characters pass around a smartphone on a train, and then the kitty (Morgana) drops it? If you watch it again, that's Sophia on the phone. As you've seen in this video, her avatar actually manifests in the cognitive dimension and joins the Phantom Thieves in battle. Incidentally, the black-clad, gun-totting guy is actually an adult police detective who can manifest a Persona. That's somewhat rare in the series, something we haven't seen since Persona 2 - and even then it was mostly young, fresh-out-of-college adults, while Zenkichi here is old enough to have a teenage daughter. Since Persona as a series just had its 25th anniversary last year - yes, it's that old, from the PlayStation 1 days - it's nice for us old-time fans to see more adults as Persona-users.
If you didn't know at the beginning of the game, Sophia and Mora have some dialogues with references to Chopper, a character from One Piece, Sophia asks him if he is a raccoon and they always ask Chopper this in each chapter of One Piece, the same thing goes with skull telling him skeleton reference to Brook and this is all because Mora's actor is the one who does the voice of Chopper
This was great, I can definitely understand how all the all-out attacks were getting repetitive with the same thing, just a different personalized finisher. But your reaction to Mara (The penis in a chariot) was priceless. Loved the Striker's Showtimes with how it is more of a super attack like Royal Showtimes, but instead of two different characters teaming up, it's the character's persona helping in the awesome attack. To clarify the difference, Persona 5 Royal is the remake of Persona 5 with new characters and a new dungeon, and Strikers is the sequel to Persona 5. However, Strikers and Royal aren't connected to each other due to being developed around the same time.
They are connected as well as P4GOLDEN and P4ARENA - they specifically remove any points of conflict so they can easily bridge the gap to extended version if needed like they did with P4ARENA sequel - P4ARENA ULTIMAX which acknowledges everything from Golden. Arguably Strikers and Royal while being developed side by side DID exchange story notes to subtly reference each other and did it even better because Royal, being an expansion for chronologically first events, sets up excuses for new characters to skip Strikers (like Kasumi having to go to gymnastics tournament) while Strikers itself gives subtle nods to events of Royal like Mona abandoning his desire to become human (hence never mentioning it anymore in Strikers) or making stealth callbacks like "This is like what happened half a year ago!" (in JP dub no less!) during story climax in August... Which perfectly lines up with Royal's story climax in February (on top of both final events of Royal and Strikers being way more similar in concept compared to Christmas debacle of Original P5)
My favorite one is the one at 3:15 following the chariot penis. Getting to see that specific character be unhinged af in P5R is one of my all time favorite things in a game.

I hope you guys get the chance to do a reaction to all Yakuza Like a Dragon essence moves or summons. They're both really fun. That game is an RPG like this but it takes place in the real world and its main character sees mundane stuff like its the coolest most over the top stuff ever and its most reflected in those.
Atlus makes the Persona games. They put out a game. They then spend 2 years fixing the glitches, rebalancing everything, and adding some more content, then rerelease the game. They released Persona 5, which takes place over 2 semesters of high school. Then they took 2 years making a clearly superior game called Persona 5 Royal, which is 50% more game as it takes place over 3 semesters. Has an extra dungeon the size of 3 normal dungeons, two more playable characters, 3 more social links, and a whole new ending. And they licensed out the IP to make Strikers in the middle there, which switches from an RPG to a musou game, where a single or small group cuts through an entire army. Obviously noncanon after Royal came out, though, since one makes the other impossible.

To clarify the difference, Persona 5 Royal is the remake of Persona 5 with new characters and a new dungeon, and Strikers is the sequel to Persona 5. However, Strikers and Royal aren't connected to each other due to being developed around the same time.
They are connected as well as P4GOLDEN and P4ARENA - they specifically remove any points of conflict so they can easily bridge the gap to extended version if needed like they did with P4ARENA sequel - P4ARENA ULTIMAX which acknowledges everything from Golden.
Arguably Strikers and Royal while being developed side by side DID exchange story notes to subtly reference each other and did it even better because Royal, being an expansion for chronologically first events, sets up excuses for new characters to skip Strikers (like Kasumi having to go to gymnastics tournament) while Strikers itself gives subtle nods to events of Royal like Mona abandoning his desire to become human (hence never mentioning it anymore in Strikers) or making stealth callbacks like "This is like what happened half a year ago!" (in JP dub no less!) during story climax in August... Which perfectly lines up with Royal's story climax in February (on top of both final events of Royal and Strikers being way more similar in concept compared to Christmas debacle of Original P5)

Brief explanation, Shin Megami Tensei is the main series from which Persona is a spin off. While Persona is about psychology, mystery and daily life, Shin Megami Tensei explores the conflict between the ideals of demons, angels and humans in a post apocalyptic world, and has been going as a series since the early 90s/late 80s. Really recommend it.

Atlus makes the Persona games. They put out a game. They then spend 2 years fixing the glitches, rebalancing everything, and adding some more content, then rerelease the game.
They released Persona 5, which takes place over 2 semesters of high school. Then they took 2 years making a clearly superior game called Persona 5 Royal, which is 50% more game as it takes place over 3 semesters. Has an extra dungeon the size of 3 normal dungeons, two more playable characters, 3 more social links, and a whole new ending.
And they licensed out the IP to make Strikers in the middle there, which switches from an RPG to a musou game, where a single or small group cuts through an entire army. Obviously noncanon after Royal came out, though, since one makes the other impossible.
