6:16 This is my favorite showtime in the game. Usually, in the game, two characters have a scene where they talk about a battle strategy to a star that helps them work together. But Joker and Crow just come up with this amazing attack without even saying a word. They just know each other so well that they can tell what the other wants to do. I'd love to see you guys react to all of the All Out Attacks for Royal as well.
its basically just crow getting mad and charging in, leaving joker to have to jump in and make an opening for him. Its the least silly but that kind of makes it sillier by comparison. Definitely my favorite too
Yes Crow aka Akechi has “issues” lol. But he wasn’t ever really a actual bad person. In the end he redeemed himself but he still maintained his more…villainous like nature and attitude which I like because it’s realistic. Even if a bad guy tries to turn a new leaf and be good it doesn’t like happen over night and with a flip of a switch. In the end he helps the team out, claims it’s for his own reasons but like nah…he’s also trying to change. You know he is cause he tries to save you all in what was suppose to be his last moments. But because of Maruki and his ability to change reality and shit he made Akechi alive again. But when everything became normalized again he was supposed to die again as he was meant to but somehow lives as shown in the secret ending but they never explain how. Some believe it was because he’s a trickster in the persona arcana meaning he had some kind of other special ability he never revealed or something. But he’s definitely a interesting character. Him and Kasumi(Sumire) are my two favorite.
My favourite one is Crow and Joker because despite how simple it looks, it's arguably the one that required the most trust between the duo, especially when that particular showtime wasn't communicated before whereas all the other ones were and not long before this, Joker and Crow were actually enemies. Crow falls into a self-induced rage that makes him unlikely to know who is friend or foe right next to his ally and also leaves him wide open to be attacked during that state, relying on Joker to create an opening and needing him to move out of the way and rely on him to finish off the enemy without looking behind him after the come-down from that state. Joker is also standing next Crow as he falls into this rage knowing first-hand the risk he's putting himself in and knows he needs to get to the enemy before Crow and create that opening without getting caught in the crossfire.
Fun fact:. Morgana is insufferable, prone to throwing hissy fits and can't stand receiving what he dishes. Hence the stupidest plot arc in the game happens.
@@pezdispencer113 That's not a fun fact, just a fact. However I'm sure a lot of people will defend him because "YOU CAN PET THE CAT POG SOYFACE SOYFACE".
So to explain what happens in 4:45 Fox does something called Iai, which is to draw a sword, slash with it then quickly sheathe it again. In anime and video game this is typically done so fast that the opponent is cut, but the cut only appears once the sword is sheathed to show the lightning fast speed of the cut.
I love the Joker/Black Mask showtime, it shows the understanding forged between those two despite Akechi proclaiming he doesn't care about friendship or teamwork.
"I'm gonna make sure it's last moments on earth are the most painful" Jesus CHRIST Noire in these is just... Lovely. "Do pardon me" _bombs you_ My favourite is Fox and Panther's, I think. It's so _elegant_ Queen and Noire's is a close second
Crow and Jokers Showtime blew me away when i first saw, it dignifies how much they trust each now after going separate ways given that Akechi tried to kill him months before the Showtime event, same for Joker, he still trusts Akechi knowing well how psychotic his fighting style is and that Showtime attack proves it
talking abt spoilers but akechi both having a persona and being in his black outfit are spoilers, the outfit is especially a spoiler! so i dont get complaining about spoilers because the video itselff contains spoilers
The cazy violent dude is my favorite. His entire story is basically him never wanting or claiming to need teammates, but when things get dicey he's willing to team up with the protagonist.
These were only in the Royal version of Persona 5, but they're so amazingly stylish and fun to watch. My personal favourite, because I am wrestling fan trash, is the one between Queen and Noir.
The context around Kasumi (The Ballet Dancer) and why there was 2 of her in that showtime, is a MASSIVE spoiler for the game so I hope no one reveals it. Unless you don’t plan on playing the game, in which case that’s fine.
I like all of them. It is satisfying to finish a boss with a cinematic finish. Although whenever Haru (the fluffy haired girl) pulls out the wrestling one, it kinda scares me knowing that she just might be doing those same moves in the real world as well. Haru is extremely kind...and dangerous.
Definitely recommend watching all the openings throughout the series. It’s a tall order but they are some of the flashiest and coolest openings I’ve seen
It's really cool to see you two react to Persona 5 stuff! Great reaction as always, love your comments throughout. As far as more videos you could react to for Persona, I think some trailers could be good to clue you in a bit more and make your more interested in what the game actually is, thought what I think would be really awesome is seeing you branch off into other Persona titles, like reacting to Persona 3 and 4 openings.
4:56 I guess the guy used the screens that got blown away to hide behind then and cut through them to attack the enemy without being seen. And, you know, do the whole "I already cut you but you wont notice it until I seathe my sword" thing
Persona 5 is in general SUCH a fun game to enjoy. Playing through Royal right now after I originally beat the original and it's just a BLAST o see what they've improved upon alongside the Showtimes. More Persona reactions would be lovely!
I guess it's kind of comes from just knowing anime, but what Yusuke did was a slash too fast for the eyes where he immediately re-sheathes the sword because they're already dead.
If you don’t care bout spoilers or plan on playing the game, I recommend watching all the anime cutscenes or cutscenes for persona 5. They’re really good and give a little perspective of what goes on during the game.
This is super old I know but for the redhead girl her name is Sumire and the girl she is envisioning with her during the showtime is her twin sister Kasumi who died from a car crash. It’s very tragic. And Sumire feels guilty about it because she died saving her from the car since she wasn’t paying attention where she was going at the time. In the game Sumire takes her sisters name Kasumi and sorta tricks her own brain into believing she is actually her so she has everyone call her that as well in most of the game until near the end when the truth comes out. One of the characters Maruki in the game has a insanely powerful ability with his persona where he can basically almost make anything reality and he later on gets even stronger and tries to change the whole world for the better where pain and all is not a thing. But before that point he meets Sumire who explains her pain of her loss to him and he offers her the chance to basically forget what happened and take the name of her sister which she agrees to but obviously does not have any memory of until later on when they encounter Maruki again.
These were such a nice addition to Royal and break some of the tension the story has, wich is probably why they are so insane. Btw, Persona 5 Strikers, the sequel of P5, has some amazing Showtime and awakenings as well, if u guys want more P5, its a good game to check out.

7:21 Without spoiling too much, the other girl is Violet’s sister, who died in a car accident. They both wanted to become famous gymnasts, which is why their routine is styled that way. Don’t worry, this is established fairly early on, so it’s not a huge spoiler.
I’m sure someone’s already said it, but every showtime has two versions, one for normal enemies and one for bosses. The boss one doesn’t show the enemy- that way the devs didn’t have to fit some of the larger bosses into the animation.
I think you should check out some of the dances from Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight They're mostly pretty silly and a lot of fun, I mostly want to see your reaction to Ryuji's dace of Blooming Villain with Morgana as the partner, there's a good upload of it called "[Persona 5 : Dancing in Starlight] Blooming Villain (Ryuji) / Clean" by Maduray85
The showtime attacks are all references to different (generally small) moments in the storyline. Case in point the easiest one to explain would be the restaurant one. The guy in the Fox outfit (with the katana) is usually always starving since instead of buying food he buys art supplies. It's also mentioned in a passive conversation in dungeons that the guy in the Fox costume doesn't really have any friends (he's really out there personality wise) so the other guy in the attack offers to go get Ramen with him. Hence the Showtime attack. As for the last one it's more plot heavy in the reference so to keep it vague: she is a gymnast and would compete with her twin sister. So the attack is showing her preforming with her sister. Explaining beyond that is spoilers but it's really touching. You should really look into some of the trailers for this game (original and Royal) it'll give you guys a much better idea of the story in this game since while all the showtime and openings are stylish and cool with no context they are just pretty and don't explain much. And this game has such an interesting story to it. Also I'd recommend SuperButterBun's Persona 5 for Beginners. It's really funny and also legitimately tells you about a lot of the systems in the game to give you an idea of how everything works.
If you want more super moves from video games, it'd be great to see you guys react to the 'Mystic Artes' from some of the 'Tales of' games. 'Tales of Crestoria' has the most but I'd also recommend Tales of Berseria and Tales of Arise :)
I have been requesting you to react to all of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Bosses, starting with the ones in the First Game, so if you’re interested: Here’s the title of the Video I found by Jaba Play: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm - All Bosses + Ending [No Damage], I hope to see you watch it at some point.

I have an idea for triple trailer Tuesday. You should react to all Persona 3 critical cuts in animation. Same thing for persona 4 and 5
the other girl was her sister who died. they were both gymnists
Anybody else wants them to react to every persona 5 boss fight?
God I love this game so frickin much! The style, the music, the charm. Perfect game if you're down to play over 120+ hours of gameplay to beat it.
the one you guys called cute is actually the sadistic one X3
...yes? Doesn't make her any less ad'awwable. :P
Persona 5 was an amazing game and visually amazing in my opinion
As an aside, there are 2 since the second is it being used on bosses, because most bosses are too big to be in the first one's shots of them dying
I suppose the only thing left to react to is the all out attacks.
I question why there had to be 2 versions of each showtime attacks, but maybe that’s just a Persona staple.
Pretty cool overall.
One for regular shadows and one for bosses

Ah, okay
Persona 5 is such a fantastic and fun Game ...
The Last Showtime with the two Girls Shows that she is fighting for her death sister as well ^^
spoilers.
who were the last two? I don't know why they remind me of the protagonists of Persona 3
Akechi and Kasumi from Royal
Id love to see yall paly the game
God I love Crow
If you want more super moves from video games, it'd be great to see you guys react to the 'Mystic Artes' from some of the 'Tales of' games. 'Tales of Crestoria' has the most but I'd also recommend Tales of Berseria and Tales of Arise :)
I have been requesting you to react to all of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Bosses, starting with the ones in the First Game, so if you’re interested:
Here’s the title of the Video I found by Jaba Play: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm - All Bosses + Ending [No Damage],
I hope to see you watch it at some point.
Thanks for sharing exact title so we can find proper video for when we do check it out 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames no problem, I will look forward to when you come around it all the same.
I love there reaction on crows show time
Next should be persona 5 strikers ultimates
I know it’s older but I think you guys would like to listen to the interview tapes from Batman Arkham Asylum they are interesting and creepy as well
Oh wow, just watching these out of context spoils the ever loving hell out of a couple of major plot points.
violet and joker show time is my favorite is very mr and mrs smith lol but with a pinch 🤏 of romance
I wish they’d react to all the All-out Attacks
The ballet buddy violet's imagining is her twin sister
Spoilers
@@HB-fq9nn My bad
Nobody tell DND why Kasumire has a ballet buddy…
You two should react to a video in TH-cam that has all the Persona openings, from persona 1 to persona 5 strickers, including the spin offs
You need to play this game. It's really fun
La primera versión es contra enemigo normal, y la segunda es contra los Jefes
Sense you guys are reacting to JRPGs I would love to see you react to all of the pep powers from Dragon Quest 11.
Yeah know.. this video made me realize... Joker didn't have Showtimes with the main Phantom Thieves.. like of all the characters not to have a combo attack with others you'd think your main protagonist wouldn't be the one lol
