Hey Jon! This is random but your flashlights reminded me. With the Rovyvon UV light, besides looking at bills or for..stains... something I found it really useful for when working on projects is checking for dried glue or epoxy on surfaces. It can help you see through certain types of varnish as well. Just thought you might find it interesting
I bought the Hoto precision screwdriver about a year ago. Goes with me into the office in my pencil bag. I love it. It is such a great piece of kit. Used it yesterday to change an electrical plug.
Mad that after watching your videos for 18 months I actually own a version of everything on this list including the exact Roxon mini multi tool (which is amazing btw) and the soundcore headphones (also brilliant). Thanks Jon, keep up the quality videos!
The Hoto is a awesome driver to carry. I use the Anker Soundcore Life U2. The battery is around your neck, so you can put it under your jacket so the battery doesn't freeze and turn off in the winter, plus it has skip track/volume buttons and play/pause. It doesn't have any other features but it works for me. My number 1 pick up this year is Olight Baton 4. The charging case can charge your phone, holds/charges your Baton 4/3 or Perun 2 mini/Perun mini. The fact it's a battery bank, charges and holds your light, and the light works awesome, it's a win win for me. The Olight IR2 Pro is my most carried light that I keep on a locking carabiner on my belt lupe, with a Victorinox Rambler. Both have been used so much.
Jon, I’ve been watching you videos for a while. And without a doubt I’ve learnt some useful information and some great gadgets to buy. BUT I have a bit of challenge. I travel constantly for work so my UK EDC won’t always pass airport security, So my challenge to you…. Best EDC kit that will pass airport security without my kit getting confiscated…… Thanks again for the great vids. Discovered so much kit I never knew was there….
Thank you for the video! A really good budget kit, but for those who ride a bicycle at least once a week, I would advise replacing the Sofirn SC32 with the Sofirn IF23. Although it's £10 more expensive, it has a secondary white + RGB light source that can replace a tail light when attached to a backpack. I have one and it's a lifesaver when it's dark!
I was so impressed with the IF23 I brought another one. As Jon says alot more complex but after playing with it for 30 minutes I managed to work out all the features. Also a great hand warmer when you have both lights on turbo.😂
@@TravellingbacktosAirfieldsI feel like they need some type of adapter part so you can use these high power flashlights as hand warmers when not needed for lighting. I've used one of my flashlights as a handwarmer and ended up burning the inside of my jacket pocket. Maybe a high temperature light absorbing paint/coating on an aluminum body that catches and absorbs the light for decent heat distribution. I genuinely don't know why they don't exist yet. I've been looking for some 18650 and 21700 replaceable battery handwarmers forever.
I just love the Tinker SAK’s. I personally find that they are especially useful in a kit paired with a Leatherman or just as a stand alone multitool in anyone’s EDC.
Thanks for giving me an idea hoe to get rid of my saved money ; ) My Lumintop EDC01 Flashlight came with a diffusor, which is really often used. The flashy is really great and bargain as well - i bought a few for different purpose. Walking the dog in the dark / rain - perfect. Always one in my trousers. Sad to see the Roxon M3 is sold out, hopefully not discontinued. Thanks for all the tips!
I’ve got the Hoto screwdriver in my desk drawer, always at hand. I’ve got the Tntor powerbank in my EDC Alpaka hub pouch. It’s way more robust than I expected. It’s not my primary battery bank, but it’s the one that I always have on me just in case. It has made me a hero to my friends and family a few times in the short time I’ve owned it.
If you find the Soundcore 4NC fit too shallow, the Spinfit CPA2 adapter extends the length of the nozzle and makes the buds compatible with most ear tips. Just wanted to leave this here for prospective buyers.
Thanks for including the Q1. I knew I had seen a magnetic locking QR somewhere but couldn't for the life of me remember where or which company made it. It was probably one of your other videos. Ordered now!
Thank you, Jon for all your reviews, tips, hints and recommendations for the year. Looking forward to watching your Christmas special. Brilliant channel ❤
For the Lumintop compact light. It would be interesting to know if it could handle the added voltage of 10440 (size of a AAA) lithium rechargeable that's 3.7v-4.2v. Some lights will handle it just fine, but there's only one way to find out. Would make for quite a little powerhouse as well as rechargeable.
It's a good little light but for the low price, I doubt it has the circuitry to handle a 10440. Of course you could buy one and see, you might get lucky. They don't cost too much if you are willing to possibly sacrifice a light in the name of science. Or you can get an Olight i3t-2 (the new model) which can definitely handle a 10440.
i wish i had the victorinox grab tool when I badly cut my finger getting the oil dipstick out of its recess in my car. This is joining my EDC for sure.
@@JonGadget I recently purchased an Osprey Daylite 6Litre Sling, it's great you should look it up. Fairly priced too, I can fit my 1lb helinox chair and couple other things in it edc wise or day trip/hike wise.
Watching this while listening on my Soundcore Liberty 4. Bought as a replacement for AirPods Pro 2 first edition which broke. Thinking I would replace when Apple dropped new ones. Well, didn’t because this Soundcore is fantastic. So underrated.
Great video as always, I really like the links you supply on your videos. I have to admit that I have found that scissors or cork screws on any multi tool or knife are about worthless. I avoid buying them.
Great choices! I got the Hoto driver, the Lumetop EDC01, and little Roxon after seeing them on your channel, and they've all become part of my most used EDCs. Here's to a blessed and successful 2024! 🎉
I have the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC. I have to say, they sound really good. Also, they fit pretty good too. I've always had issues with in ear headphones, but these ones are actually ok. But it wasn't all smooth sailing. When I got them I had an issue where the left bud was putting out some sort of weird fluttering noise. It was especially noticeable when noise cancellation was on. I got in touch with Soundcore and they sent me a new pair of buds. Either way, I do recommend them. Pretty nice. I also have the TNTOR power bank, which I got after seeing it on this channel. Really, really nice. It doesn't give me a full charge, but it gives me an extra day of power, at least. But the biggest selling point is the size. I've had power banks that would give me 2 or 3 charges, but I wasn't taking them along with me cause they were too big and heavy. What's the point of having a huge power bank if you left it at home? This one is really easy to carry. Although I don't recommend it, you could carry it in your pocket if you wanted to. Really handy.
I have a lot of such stuff, but the only thing I ever needed is a knife and torch, but the torch on the iPhone is enough for me and a cheap opinel 8 is the way to go for me. Of course there is a bigger torch in the car, but till now I never needed it, it is just something to change batteries. What helps and I use often is the air tags. I can’t use noise cancelling because I have dogs so I need to be aware of Bg noises
