    Thank you, I learned a lot from this. I've not heard of this method before but it resonated with me and I like how you explained it. I do need to rewatch it and take notes next time. I've subbed your channel and will watch more of your videos. Thanks again

      I'm happy this video resonated with you. There always comes the time when it stops working and it sounds like the time has come for you. I tried to quit for over ten years before this past year. Do everything you can do to stay sober. Go to meetings, meditate, find sober friends, but above all, be kind and gentle with yourself. You're going to need it. You can do this!

    Congrats on your sobriety. This method is perfect -- This personality is independent of all other personalities. This ONE steps forward with a Request ----- that voice is NOT YOU. It belongs to your addicted personality -- I'm totally on board with what you say. Decades old psych theory of multiplicity of personality --- I must share this to my stop smoking group bec nicotine is a drug .. Thank you

      I'm so happy this resonates with you, @judithnicholais1492! I think it can work for those who are committed to sobriety and stay vigilant in the earliest days of their journey. Thank you for watching and please share it with anyone you think this might help!

      I'm glad this helped you and thank you for your kind words! This concept took me a really time to formulate and put into the right words, but I believe it to be true, and it really did change my life. It changed my way of thinking about my addiction to alcohol. I wish you all the best on your journey, @neeneemarie!

    How did you go about quitting

      I admitted I needed help and couldn't do it alone. If I could have, I would have. I did everything I could actually. I used The Alcoholic Personality Method to keep my cravings away but I also worked with a hypnotherapist. I went to meetings. Above all, I was honest with myself and others. It all starts with honesty.

    Good content nicely presented. Relevant to me. Thanks! Can we erase unhelpful pathway

    • @TheAlcoholicPersonality-zx4cu
      @TheAlcoholicPersonality-zx4cu  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you @Monty_NSW! In a way, yes we can erase negative pathways of communication in our brains. When we stop behaving a certain way, or stop negative patterns, we stop using the pathway that was created for that pattern. Over time, the pathway fades away on its own when we have fortified new pathways that address the situation in a positive way. Recovery, meditation and hypnosis are great ways to do this.

    18 days sober today, after 30 years of drinking, the last decade being pretty bad. Thanks for sharing this video. Every little bit helps. You were spot on when you said you have to WANT to stop. I've fantasized about stopping for years, but I finally had enough of this slow suicide.

    • @TheAlcoholicPersonality-zx4cu
      @TheAlcoholicPersonality-zx4cu  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Congratulations! that's a lot of time sober after drinking for 30 years and it sounds like you have the right mindset. It IS suicide, no other way around it. I'm glad you found something useful in the video and I wish you the best on your sobriety and recovery journey. And remember there is help out there if you need it; meetings, counseling, sober living etc. You got this!

      How are you now?

    • @blueprince2330

      @micktaylor7641 made it 63 days total without a drop, then fell off the wagon again. I'm going to try again October 1st. It really wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, as far as physical or psychological withdrawal symptoms, and my body felt a lot better and I noticed a huge difference in my finances...but I had a moment of weakness and the floodgates opened up again.
