As long as there isn't a cold air draft pulling through his cabin from one side to the other,, some outside air & moisture is good to mix with the hot & dry air made by the wood stove. Once you've sustained a hot fire inside with burning embers,, it can become uncomfortably warm inside such a small area. Most people try to make their homes too tight with no air whatsoever moving around allowing a fresh exchange of oxygen to revitalize the area. The extreme is not good,, a slow drip of fresh air is..
Watching this in the UK, I was totally gripped from start to finish, really enjoyed it. One man’s survival against the odds. I’m curious though I didn’t see any water being drunk or a hot drink of any kind being made, or did I miss it?. You got to fix that creaking door though.

Дверь наружная в избах всегда открывалась внутрь. А вы не боитесь, что ночью дверь завалит снегом и открыть ее будет невозможно?
Не боится! В избе есть подземный тоннель -- путь в цивилизацию!!
А если бы она открывалась наружу, то ты её вообще
не откроешь, если снегом завалит. И будешь замурован в этой избушке.
в таких местах много медведей, из за них двери в таких избах открываются наружу.
Страх не обоснованный , выберется , окно выставит , если что , не проблема !
