Iâm impressed you are wearing a purple shirt to go along with this sew along. It looks cute on you! This is such a cute quilt block. I canât wait to see the two ways to finish it. I accidentally ordered two kits so I guess I can make one of each version!ðð
Love this Halloween quilt and it is so spooky cute and yes I trim all the lose threads and make sure it is straight thank you for the video and pattern
Thank you FQS for another amazing spooky Halloween see along! I love these. The music you use is terrific! I laughed at Kimberly when she repeatedly mentioned replacing the purple with pink. I know she dislikes the purple. ð
I am loving this pattern! it is super cute. Could you tell me what brand/ model number / where to purchase the pressure foot are you using? I am forever having issues with the 1/4 inch seam allowance. I have tried the marked wash tape and several different feet but haven t found one that seems to work for me.
I am catching up and working on block 1 right now. I have pre-starched all my fabric and it is stiff and have cut them out with creative grids rulers...I have a Juki 2010 and the 1/4" foot and for some reason when I sew blocks together my blocks come out much smaller up to 1/4" sometimes. I have had the same issues before as well not just this block and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. So frustrating since I am a perfectionist and have taken out blocks and resew when it gets bad or I end up stretching my fabric to make it fit. ðĪ
I have a Julki 1/4 in foot as well and had the same problem. But I discovered that if my fabric is not butted up next to the âguideâ, but lies as close as possible without touching, I then get a 1/4 in seam.
@@TheresaSchmidt-0705 I am getting better results using the seam tape. My 1/4" foot is not accurate or the top plate...whichever. The tape lies within the 1/4" marking so my scant 1/4" is coming out 1/4". I even tried to adjust the top plate but that did not work...I loved the 1/4" foot so that I can sew a straight line. I sewed all day sunday just using the regular foot and the tape and had no problems.
OH so glad to know I'm not weird. I always trim my blocks and get all the loose threads off. This project is so cute.
