I just want to say that my wife and I have been married for so long that when we got married there were still states where our marriage was not legal. I'm white and she's African American. There's a lot of us out there. 30 yrs ago she had an accident and is a quad. We never have seen us as an interracial or interabled couple...we are just an awesome couple who have been in love for the past 56 years !
My assumption? That Cole chose Charisma and Charisma chose Cole, both with their eyes wide open and knowing they had the tools to go the distance. MAD respect, guys.
For real, because I know I don't have the capacity or humanity to love without limits in a romantic relationship. I know I couldn't do it. I have do much respect for both of them seeing beyond the BS we as humans put on each other.
@@Vitaluv they still love with limits too - their limits are just based on the person’s personality rather than their physical abilities. And honestly Cole is an attractive guy, maybe she wouldn’t have been interested if his face was really unattractive. There are still limits in all kinds of love , it’s all conditional, because we don’t accept things like cruelty and excessive negativity and other things in our partners.
Been married for 11 years with my current wife and 3 years with my first wife who passed away a few years ago. Both are beautiful black women and blessed to be with them. Cole is one who is very happy and Charisma, she knew and understood early on before both grew closer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏🏼💜💯

You both exude love! I've been a paraplegic since 17. Here I am 29 years later💪....2 marriages/divorces😧...and 2 sons (21 & 15)...2 degrees...been employee & employer. My current mate (5yrs) has suffered kidney failure about a year ago and is on dialysis 3x week. A couple of months after starting dialysis, he loss vision and is now blind😎. i had a 4-5 yr old kid ask me if i was a super hero cause i had wires coming out of my ears...( i wear bilateral hearing aids) i thought it was the funniest thing

I feel for you son. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Although mild, there was a whole list of things the doctors said I may never do. This understandably made me colossally cross, and credit to my parents, they told mr that they'd help me where they could but that I'd have to be the one to figure it out. We worked out how to get me on skis, how to get me on a mountain bike and how to get me outdoors. They wouldn't help me get on a motorcycle as they deemed it too dangerous, that's why it was all the more satisfying when I worked out how to do it on my own...and drive it from Utah to Mexico City, alone, 6 times. Point is, your son will be fine if you listen to him, help him with his passions within, reason and don't try too hard to rein him in if you don't entirely understand the direction he wants to take in life. Oh, and he'll probably find love too, because that yet another thing that many said might not happen for me.
From one mom to another who’s adult child is a quad. Get them to go out anyway if you can. My daughter was born a quad so that is all she knows but it hasn’t stopped her. We have travelled over the country & to Mexico. She goes on weekend vacations with friends. Since COVID Zoom is a Big plus. There are forum for anything & it (Zoom) has actually been a blessing. FYI take care of yourself too. ❤️

The first video I watched was the one where they met up with Shane and Hannah as I had been watching their vlogs and I just kept watching.

I always thought that Charisma is shy and private while Cole is overt and very demonstrative in his emotions. I just assumed Charisma has old fashion values. But the way she looks into Coles eyes and how she defers to him is very much that of a woman in love. Hi, Cole and Charisma! First of all, I know this comment is so long, but I have so much to say. 🤗 Thanks so much for making this video, it was thought provoking! I’m a new subscriber to your channel, but have seen a video of yours here and there beforehand. This past weekend I started binge-watching from the beginning 😁 I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the awareness, education, inclusion, adaptivity and positivity you spread to everyone from your channel, in light of the challenges of physical disabilities. A little about me: I was born with Spina Bifida 38 years ago - I am grateful I am not paralyzed and I am able to walk, but I have bowel/urinary issues, a shunt due to hydrocephalus/chiari malformation, poor balance and other issues with my feet. So, I can relate some, in that respect. Anyway, having my own struggles led me in high school to want to do social work, so I went on to get my Bachelors degree in Social Work, and last year I graduated with my Masters degree in Social Work. Right now I’m working in community mental health to gain hours for LCSW licensure; but ultimately it’s my dream to open my own group homes in the community: 1 for people with disabilities, 1 for people with severe and persistent mental illness, and 1 for older adults. I want to help people remove whatever barriers they may have to living safely and happy in the community. I truly believe God has a plan and purpose for everyone, despite the challenges and dark times life brings 😊 Keep on doing what you do on your channel! 💗

I think the dilemma for parents is that you want your child to be curious, but since children of a certain age don’t always know how to be curious without being rude (they’re still learning what is considered rude and polite) they will just say what they see. Sometimes it’s harmless like your experience other times it’s the child yelling and pointing “mom that lady’s skin is weird looking” That child may have had moments like that prior which may have caused the father to be nervous like “ugh here we go again”. So it’s really important that the parents explain to their child how to be curious in public. It takes a lot of repetition and patience. I’m a new mom and ECE student and I’m learning all of these little dilemmas. #prayforme lol Parenting has a lot of those situations where the answer seemed simple but then it happens to you and you’re like this is actually harder than I thought. Especially when it comes to explaining things to your child. Everything has to be broken down so they understand. Repetition, repetition, repetition is the key. I’m glad you were able to explain to the child their question and hopefully this helped the parents as well.
Your vlog is positive but you are human and no person is positive all the time, I think your vlog is uplifting beautiful, a wonderful couple, not always easy but great people thank you both

I didn't want to watch this because I figured it would piss me off. People can be so rude when hiding behind a keyboard. I would not have even acknowledged them but I guess this opened a dialogue about how assumptions are taken as facts when people don't know the entire story. Assumptions? I don't remember which of your videos I watched for the first time, but I do remember that in the beginning of that video, for whatever reason, I didn't realize that Cole was in a wheelchair. It was toward the end that I understood the situation, and by that time, every assumption I could have thought of was busted. I found both of you very refreshing. I was sorry to find out that Cole was disabled, but very quickly, I was pretty confident that he can turn just about every situation life dishes out into something positive. As far as Charisma was concerned, I wasn't aware at first that she was Cole's girlfriend - but that was only because the first thing I heard about her was that she was into physical therapy, and so I thought the relationship was professional. Again, that assumption went away almost as soon as it was formed because of the chemistry that is so obvious between the two of you. I enjoy watching your channel and think you are both doing a much-needed service to those of us who have never experienced these challenges. In your end of the universe, you've educated a lot of people and made the unknown a little less scary.

I really love how you guys address the caregiving assumptions. I never want to take away from caregivers, but I hate when people act like caregivers are either saints or that they must be resentful. In a relationship each partner contributes differently and I love how you guys highlight this and emphasize the equality in your relationship. Thank you for addressing these assumptions!!!

Everyone has times they are down, but life is what you make it and I can see you all really love each other and that makes all the difference. I think you all were just made for each other regardless of disabilities. If you are each other’s best friend then you are comfortable with the personalities you all have and so it works. I can see how you use humor and love and talk about everything. If more couples were this happy with each other a lot of here assumptions would not even be asked. Honesty and truth and humor really count.
I happy you touch on people with disabilities can lead a very "normal" life. I have C. P use a walker. I hold down a full time job, drive, very independent. A lot of people find that strange.

Came across your channel by accident. I became hooked instantly. I had to take care of my mom when she lost the ability to walk. I cared for her and never resented taking care of her. I have Fibromyalgia that resulted from a Spinal Tap and epidural simultaneously. It has resulted in spinal issues that causes extreme pain during fibromyalgia flares. After 19 years, it is getting worse, but I keep moving until I won't be able to. I get inspiration watching you both. Keep doing what you all do, and keep the love flowing!

I adore your transparency! Some people are insensitive, but you're right... Positivity is the key. My 21-year-old son has a prosthetic eye and a scar from brain surgery. In grade school and Jr high he struggled some because people were cruel, however, we consistently encouraged him and helped him build confidence to know he has a place in this world and a purpose. Around 8th grade the stares stopped bothering him, he would even use the moment to share his story. You two are awesome. Keep sharing your story and making a difference. 🤗
I think my favorite video of yours was when you visited your grandfather's farm with the horses. I loved your grandfather's story about how the neighbors horse came over to his place and never went back home again, lol! I didn't get the impression that Charisma liked riding the horses that much, but that's okay. She might like the horses better at a later time. I also loved the video (and maybe it was even the same video) where your dad needed a push to help get you into the vehicle. Cole's brother was thankfully behind him and only had to get out only two words to get the help he needed at that moment. I thought it ended up special for everyone involved because no one was hurt, but it was amazing that so little communication was needed for dad to get some help. In fact I think I need to see that video again! Keep on, keeping on, because it's beautiful to watch! As far as you being an interracial couple - I think it's beautiful for the two of you because it works for the two of you. I love how your families get together and have a good time too.
I know this is an old video but I liked the story about Cole playing sports against Charisma's brother and not really knowing him. My dad died when I was 16, and i met my husband at 19. Come to find out my husband met my dad once because my husband was a friend of a family member. We never met before we started dating but I found it so amazing that he had the chance to meet my dad before he died. Love your vids, just found yall the other day and have been catching up w your videos!

I feel for you son. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Although mild, there was a whole list of things the doctors said I may never do. This understandably made me colossally cross, and credit to my parents, they told mr that they'd help me where they could but that I'd have to be the one to figure it out. We worked out how to get me on skis, how to get me on a mountain bike and how to get me outdoors. They wouldn't help me get on a motorcycle as they deemed it too dangerous, that's why it was all the more satisfying when I worked out how to do it on my own...and drive it from Utah to Mexico City, alone, 6 times. Point is, your son will be fine if you listen to him, help him with his passions within, reason and don't try too hard to rein him in if you don't entirely understand the direction he wants to take in life. Oh, and he'll probably find love too, because that yet another thing that many said might not happen for me.

I always thought that Charisma is shy and private while Cole is overt and very demonstrative in his emotions. I just assumed Charisma has old fashion values. Hi, Cole and Charisma! First of all, I know this comment is so long, but I have so much to say. 🤗 Thanks so much for making this video, it was thought provoking! I’m a new subscriber to your channel, but have seen a video of yours here and there beforehand. This past weekend I started binge-watching from the beginning 😁
I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the awareness, education, inclusion, adaptivity and positivity you spread to everyone from your channel, in light of the challenges of physical disabilities.
A little about me: I was born with Spina Bifida 38 years ago - I am grateful I am not paralyzed and I am able to walk, but I have bowel/urinary issues, a shunt due to hydrocephalus/chiari malformation, poor balance and other issues with my feet. So, I can relate some, in that respect.
Anyway, having my own struggles led me in high school to want to do social work, so I went on to get my Bachelors degree in Social Work, and last year I graduated with my Masters degree in Social Work. Right now I’m working in community mental health to gain hours for LCSW licensure; but ultimately it’s my dream to open my own group homes in the community: 1 for people with disabilities, 1 for people with severe and persistent mental illness, and 1 for older adults. I want to help people remove whatever barriers they may have to living safely and happy in the community. I truly believe God has a plan and purpose for everyone, despite the challenges and dark times life brings 😊

I think the dilemma for parents is that you want your child to be curious, but since children of a certain age don’t always know how to be curious without being rude (they’re still learning what is considered rude and polite) they will just say what they see. Sometimes it’s harmless like your experience other times it’s the child yelling and pointing “mom that lady’s skin is weird looking” That child may have had moments like that prior which may have caused the father to be nervous like “ugh here we go again”. So it’s really important that the parents explain to their child how to be curious in public. It takes a lot of repetition and patience. I’m a new mom and ECE student and I’m learning all of these little dilemmas. #prayforme lol Parenting has a lot of those situations where the answer seemed simple but then it happens to you and you’re like this is actually harder than I thought. Especially when it comes to explaining things to your child. Everything has to be broken down so they understand. Repetition, repetition, repetition is the key. I’m glad you were able to explain to the child their question and hopefully this helped the parents as well.

I don't remember which of your videos I watched for the first time, but I do remember that in the beginning of that video, for whatever reason, I didn't realize that Cole was in a wheelchair. It was toward the end that I understood the situation, and by that time, every assumption I could have thought of was busted. I found both of you very refreshing. I was sorry to find out that Cole was disabled, but very quickly, I was pretty confident that he can turn just about every situation life dishes out into something positive.
As far as Charisma was concerned, I wasn't aware at first that she was Cole's girlfriend - but that was only because the first thing I heard about her was that she was into physical therapy, and so I thought the relationship was professional. Again, that assumption went away almost as soon as it was formed because of the chemistry that is so obvious between the two of you.
I enjoy watching your channel and think you are both doing a much-needed service to those of us who have never experienced these challenges. In your end of the universe, you've educated a lot of people and made the unknown a little less scary.

I really love how you guys address the caregiving assumptions. I never want to take away from caregivers, but I hate when people act like caregivers are either saints or that they must be resentful. Everyone has times they are down, but life is what you make it and I can see you all really love each other and that makes all the difference. I think you all were just made for each other regardless of disabilities. If you are each other’s best friend then you are comfortable with the personalities you all have and so it works. I can see how you use humor and love and talk about everything. If more couples were this happy with each other a lot of here assumptions would not even be asked. Honesty and truth and humor really count.

Came across your channel by accident. I became hooked instantly. I had to take care of my mom when she lost the ability to walk. I cared for her and never resented taking care of her. I have Fibromyalgia that resulted from a Spinal Tap and epidural simultaneously. It has resulted in spinal issues that causes extreme pain during fibromyalgia flares. After 19 years, it is getting worse, but I keep moving until I won't be able to. I get inspiration watching you both. Keep doing what you all do, and keep the love flowing!

I know they are assumptions, but in any relationship and life situation we learn how to adapt and negotiate approaches and shifts into making our life manageable. I adore your transparency! Some people are insensitive, but you're right... Positivity is the key. My 21-year-old son has a prosthetic eye and a scar from brain surgery. In grade school and Jr high he struggled some because people were cruel, however, we consistently encouraged him and helped him build confidence to know he has a place in this world and a purpose. Around 8th grade the stares stopped bothering him, he would even use the moment to share his story. You two are awesome. Keep sharing your story and making a difference. 🤗

I think my favorite video of yours was when you visited your grandfather's farm with the horses. I loved your grandfather's story about how the neighbors horse came over to his place and never went back home again, lol! I didn't get the impression that Charisma liked riding the horses that much, but that's okay. She might like the horses better at a later time. I also loved the video (and maybe it was even the same video) where your dad needed a push to help get you into the vehicle. Cole's brother was thankfully behind him and only had to get out only two words to get the help he needed at that moment. I thought it ended up special for everyone involved because no one was hurt, but it was amazing that so little communication was needed for dad to get some help. In fact I think I need to see that video again! Keep on, keeping on, because it's beautiful to watch! As far as you being an interracial couple - I think it's beautiful for the two of you because it works for the two of you. I love how your families get together and have a good time too.
I know this is an old video but I liked the story about Cole playing sports against Charisma's brother and not really knowing him. My dad died when I was 16, and i met my husband at 19. Come to find out my husband met my dad once because my husband was a friend of a family member. We never met before we started dating but I found it so amazing that he had the chance to meet my dad before he died.
