You don't ride dirt bikes, huh? Like other guy said, all that spinning mass gives you an element of control. It's a torque reaction to accelerating or decelerating the rotating mass of the tires. Increasing power causes the truck body to rotate clockwise, reducing power rotates the body counter clockwise. Commonly done on motocross bike jumps, using power or brakes on the rear tire to set the ideal landing position.
You ever been in a science class where they show off how gyroscopes can turn things around hanging on strings? Well basically the tires are so heavy that gettin them to turn at speed when the truck is mid air, exerts force the opposite way, in other words, it makes the truck spin around the tires instead of the normal way. So hitting the brakes or gassing it can give him a little control over how much it spins midair.
This video is actually a great lesson in the concept of rotational momentum. At first, it looks like the truck will overturn before landing. @neroaugustus5378 for the longest time I thought the same thing bro. The person that uploaded these are just really good
Dude this shit looked so real. I thought this was a full sized monster truck doing jet stunts.
Same 😂 it wasn't till the landing I realized
I didnt realize until.... I read this thread
@@Achilleezsame… it still looks real to me! Not only that but as I was focused on the truck in the air, I misjudged the landing ramp in my peripheral and thought it was coming down on its roof 💀
Me too! Prolly just a matter of time before they do this for real! 🎉
I thought it was real at first, then I read this comment, rewatched it, and realized it was an rc truck. Still awesome.
Nice RC, very realistic looking. The ramps give it away before the truck does.
That’s actually insane how you can see the torque changing the truck’s rotation midair
I was thinking the same thing its like a helicopter
The "torque" did that huh? 😂
@@donarthiazi2443 Yeah, rotational force. As in literally what torque is

I legit just watched this 14 times, in complete awe and disbelief. Every loop grasped me. The sound engulfed my attention. I was proud of how far Mankind has come, to be able to take everything to the maximum limit. I felt one with the universe. And then I realized its a RC car.
SERIOUSLY WTF. Was about to call Travis Pastrana himself and say YOU SUCK! This guy has way bigger balls. Then I realized its an RC car 😂
Yep. I totally fell for it!@@abesview5855
I thought to myself, is this the pinnacle of human achievement? The perfect meld of man and machine in pursuit of glory. By sheer will and defiance of nature we have become masters of the universe. Then I saw the ramp was made of flimsy plywood and damn near collapsed 😄
🤣😂🤣
The only way I knew right away that it was an RC vehicle was because when it was in mid air, I could hear the little tiny gears turning
The smile at the end just makes this vid so much better
Perfect sound design. If this wasn't an RC truck, that would have been like...an 80 foot loop.

Compare the size of a monster Truck which should be around 17 feet long and its obvious, you think they would use superlative trees to build ramps for a monster truck ??.. ...its plywood.
On top of that you should simply see the man his channel where he clearly shows many of these clips of RC monster Trucks and are named RC Monster Trucks.

I know these are RC cars, but whoever does the sound editing is RIDICULOUS. Even knowing it’s not a full sized truck I still want to argue that it is, because that’s EXACTLY how it should sound, and when it should sound like it.
If you really focus on the sound you can hear it's an RC car IMO. Not that the video isn't great work. For me it's the scenery.
@@BlueCollar839 You cannot, because the audio is NOT the original audio. This, there are no RC car sounds in the video. You are hearing a synthetically produced sound.
@@Chris-hn4lp ok. I thought it was sound effects just put over the original audio but whatever. I stand by my statement tho, I still hear RC sounds however they are being produced is kind of irrelevant really.🤝

That is exactly how it would look like in full scale. Amazing work!!!
Not really, as the weight of a real truck would cause the truck to land on the cab.

All right, call me crazy I’m watching this with my son and we’ve seen another set of these videos where these guys are jumping a ramp course and they do a couple series of backflips with the monster trucks so if you haven’t seen those clips, it’s hard to believe this one but if you look at the way, the truck lifts the block, it hits on the top of the first ramp the articulation in the body listen paired with the downshifting in the gears when the truck hits the ground, the ramp kicks up and lifts off the ground the dirt the shadowing everything it’s done scaled down you’re watching a full-size truck do a large air flip look at the background look at everything it’s not an RCI can’t wait to see this at another angle, and I would love to be proven wrong but there’s another set of videos out there it could be from the same people that made this that have done amazing things with monster trucks and a small course and because I’ve seen that I’m more on the fence this one’s real.
