I remember seeing this in Monster Jam trailers as a kid I think. Part of me will always still think it’s badass no matter how slow the hydraulics are 😂🤣
What's crazy is a lot of people don't realize that megasaurus was made by and operated by the same man who built the much-larger transformer known as robosaurus which he sold on the Barrett-Jackson auction

I saw one similar to this when i was 11 in 1988 at LA Angels Stadium. It was twice as big, 4 times more powerful and faster, and infinitely cooler. It picked up a car, set it on fire and continued to eat it until no piece was larger than a suitcase.

I love how these people spend so much time and effort designing and building stuff like this, for the purpose of entertaining kids. It's awesome.

To be honest, while the design needs work, it looks like a real feat of engineering.

Mechanically quite impressive. It has a lot of heavy hydraulic equipment and folds flat.

Damn i saw that thing when i was a kid in the early 2000s at the civic center in portland. Its awesome that they still do it.
Watching at 2x speed makes it a little less underwhelming!
