    Wonderful reaction. Thank you. No matter how many times I listen to this cover by Home Free it rocks me to my core and leaves me in tears.
    Home Free has another song that relates to the world we seem to be living in at this moment in time.
    "EVERYBODY WALKING THIS LAND" sums up Home Free's feelings about the divisions we're dealing with.
    If you choose to check it out be sure and listen to Tim's message at the end.
    Thank you again and wishing you the best. Looking forward to more of your reactions.

    Such an eerie reverence to this song. So beautiful yet a very sombering message. Love All.

    This is one of my favorite songs of theirs. They have another song that is called "Everybody walkin' this land". They finish that song by outright stating that they believe you can take any two people from any two places in the world, and they could find more in common than they would have believed. I love that statement and wholeheartedly believe it. I really do wish people would just look at each other as people first instead of where they are from or what they believe, and treat them with the same respect we would like to be treated with.

    Home Free has the amazingly unique ability to recreate the sound and vibration of a church organ with their five-part harmonies. Can rattle one's soul.

    It is not the human race that is at war, it is the higher ups that are hungry for more and not their sons and daughters dying. Most of us are capable of loving and accepting each other. Home Free represents those of us that are accepting and loving human beings.

    It’s one of my favorites of theirs. Dire Straits wrote this about the Falklands War. It is guitar driven where this is voice driven. It’s so beautiful and Tim is amazing. Tim and Chance looked ghost like in the windows. A brother singing about his brothers in arms not abandoning him while he’s dying. But Home Free wants to say it’s folly to go to war against our brothers and sisters. (In a perfect world for sure). Such a good rendition. 😍 Try Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band to hear more incredible harmonies. Good reaction Jesse.

    Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥

    This cover of Dire Strait's original was given to Home Free by Club For Five after Tim contacted them to ask if he could acquire their arrangement.

  • @LadyDragonsblood
    @LadyDragonsblood 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    This is actually a cover of a cover. This five part harmony arrangement was first done by the Finnish A Capella group Club For Five. Tim asked Tuukka their bass for the arrangement, and he sent it to him. Tuukka later praised it and loved the "echoes" that HF added to give it their touch. Check out Club for Five for the original version of this cover.

    I have always loved this song by Dire Straits but think Home Free did an excellent version of this song. Tim's natural breathy bass was awesome along with Chance's smooth baritone & loved it when all the guys were doing 5 part harmonies. Who would believe humming could sound so good. They gave it a very solemn feeling. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there.

    I believe that REAL music can UNITE the world!
    And it’s reactors like you who are connecting us all together.
    There is a lot of Power in that
    I have my fingers crossed that Avi’s music will help do that 😉
    As well as more Patriotic songs as this one.

    This is so beautiful. The lead of Chance and Tim. Both so deep. Then the background vocal which sounds like an organ to me. Then the imcredible harmonies as a choir. A song that has to be sung well to really touch your soul. And Home Free has certainly succeeded in that.

    Hi. I was on another channel and she did a couple more Homefree songs about military and additional subjects that reminded me "Born in the USA" with it's actual meaning, "Traveling Soldier" and a very different "Everybody Walking This Land" by Paul Cauthen (watch the last for Tim speaking after the song) for you to check out at some point.

    Seems to be a military day for you. American and Indian both. This song is about the Falklands that the USA was not involved in (the U.K. and Argentina) but the feelings always remain the same.
    Tim Foust's charity is American military veterans. Now just to confuse you a bit more Tim is a liberal politically as am I but treatment of veterans and particularly keeping funded medical care is universal. Medical treatment for burn pits was the latest political football (It got funded finally).
    Military conflicts happen and regardless of your political position on any given war people are hurt and killed. This song conveys the grief and empathy of the situation.
    Where it happened is not important to the experience.

    • @JesseReacts
      @JesseReacts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it’s true. It’s kind off inevitable that terrible things keep on happening. So every nation need their heroes/protectors. Clearly they need to be taken care off well. The military day was real for sure, actually another song was recorded that night haha pushed that one to tomorrow. Arijit was supposed to drop 12 hours later (am pm issues 😂) it’s interesting though to think of all those “different worlds” everybody pretty much seems to have mutual feelings. Though conflicts might happen on opposed ends. Guess it’s a good realization to have every now and then.
