This is a good idea but done wrong. You want to put in these in around your farm on it out side and let the water work it way though the ground. That way you get clean flitter water in your well

This is great technique but as a lay man I got One question: is there any chance of borewell wall or surrounding ground getting sinking or collapsing?

I like the simple approach demonstrated for recharging the ground water. Only a small addition, the slug test could be conducted by using even smaller quantity of water (not restricted to 40000 L), this method will helps in knowing the rate of recharge. Based on this size of recharge pit could be planned. I complement the work of CWS & simplifying the method.

Canal water flow waste lessly into river after fields irrigation can I put directly this water into borewell for two or three days , I think it will recharge more efficiently than rainwater becoz canal nozzle has 6 inch water flow so recharge of two or three days continuously provide water in summer season , I think so ,m I right or wrong ??

    Dear,
Kindly grow grass on sand to keep open pores, it will hold soil/sand also work as mud filter during water collection. Also use 2 inches sand or concrete blocks with hole around outer, lower parts of pit to protect from soil erosion within inside. With that no need to change/ replace upper sand and also water recharge capacity will increase drastically.

The cost of construction is low. But the maintenance part is there. Based on local conditions the maintenance requirement could be more than once a year
