    Prefab buildings can give more stable jobs to construction workers, where they can work in the prefab-factory, instead of jumping from town to town.

      It will be much easier to automate such factory assemby jobs than job done on construction sites. Either way prefab or not, construction industry as a whole will be almost completely automated with AI, advanced robotics in the next 2-4 years. We will have capability to build high quality, safe skyscrapers in a matter of weeks/maybe even days, instead of 2-3 years, and it will happen this decade.

      Eric Mamadou I am architect and some of project using it like school projects. Not all project can doing this modular system. Because it look boring boxes. And it still manufacture in warehouse by human still take a lot of time. What you see in video its they put box at site of course its fast. The next step should be working by robot not human. So it will be building like a car like tesla

      @@ericmamadou4735 All this houses lack comfort, because of the modularity, there are no sealed joints between the pieces and no insulation, thus is going to be cold in winter and hot in summer. The model is good for other purposes tought like public bathrooms or something that requires quick assembly but not prolonged stays

    looks efficient, but its a 7 story building? Each module must be very rigid. I guess the ones in the bottom is structured with more reinforcement, but this building probably has alot more steel compared to a normal apartmentbuilding to secure the structural integrety. also, you can not swap out the wooden modules, you have to remove all modules ontop to replace a module. There should be seperate modules for concrete-steel and wood-steel. and probalbly seperate modules for floor, walls etc.

    • @nomebear
      @nomebear 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Structures like this have existed since the 80's along the Texas coast in Galveston and Corpus Christi, and have survived hurricanes without loosing integrity. The Hilton Palacio del Rio in San Antonio is of a similar modular design in prefab concrete, and built in late '60s. The rooms were completly furnished with linens when they were slid in like drawers. These units are probably much quieter than other construction techniques because they're double walled, and will most likely be difficult to raze at the end of the building's life because of the strength.
