For what I do, academic research, the tagging system is amazing. It allows me to create separate links from a note to multiple projects. Plus, rearranging the system is as easy as editing the tag sequence. Love it.
One of the really really nice features of Ulysses is that you can choose to collect custom PDF styles, or HTML styles, or ePub styles. This way, you can choose what the final PDF (or ePub or HTML) looks like when you choose to convert your article into one of those destination output. In fact, the editor itself also has a lot of styles (since it semi-renders italics, bold, grays out markdown symbols), so there are a million looks for the base editor itself.
I love Bear! Such a great and beautiful app. I use tags quite a bit, which you can even nest for a more complicated set up. I've also made a habit of putting the tags at the top of a document so you can easily see and modify them.
I just got a Mac and I'm switching from Windows where I've used Evernote. I've been happy with Evernote especially since their big revamp. But it is slow as molasses on the Mac. So I'm shopping around for something new. I'm here after doing a search for this kind of video about Bear. The first "favorite feature" is that it uses Markdown. I have known about Markdown for a long time. I just don't see what is so great about it for "ease of writing". I get the export benefits. But I don't write blogs, etc.
Very appreciative for posting this video. Thanks so much. But, I’m still trying to understand the real different in Bear and Ulysses (or Drafts). They still seem very similar to each other. All the points mentioned here could also apply to Ulysses or Drafts - am I missing something ?

I dont know if it's just me, but there are some intense "woomp" bass in the audio. round 4:41-4:42. something related to the speaker inhaling and exhaling. might wanna check on the audio setting.
Great video I've been back and forth between Ulysses and Bear and even Scrivener. Bear and Ulysses both export to Wordpress or Medium but even though you can add images, the image links don't transfer. Am I missing something or am I correct in assuming that you just need to add all the flair in your blog post after exporting?
So ... I have Ulysses ... and a WordPress blog ... Ulysses is good for posting your content to your site, but if you’d like to go back and edit an already-posted article, Ulysses is not good for _updating_. Not sure about Bear

Stop flapping yoir lips and show what your doing . DO 1 thing then erase, then do #2 etc.
