You foxy lady you! Loved the headbanging moment 😂 But seriously your curls are popping and that routine looks like something I could definitely try with my own soft, crispy, wiry amazing hair! 😆
Beautiful! You looked too good to stay inside. It was a great idea to get out and treat yourself. I have a Seminar hair style. It is true that the head banging helps to clump and define the curls! Shine is what I have been missing ,so thank you so much for the Olive Oil spray tip🎉
I did my first big chop in 2021. Then cut it to the shortest it's ever been in 2022. Since then I've been letting my natural hair grow. Now it is too much for me to manage at my age. I flat ironed in October, my hair is nearly to my waist. I love the managability of straight hair, but I think I damaged it. You helped me make up my mind January 2025 I'm doing another big chop! I look forward to the freedom of short natural hair again! I can't wait! 😊
I looked at video with your stylist at Avan salon, it was awesome! The video showed photos of you with various hairstyles, all were super cute but you look so much younger (and cuter)😂 with gray hair. Take care & many blessings 💕
Thanks so much…having grey hair has been hard for me…I just feel so unattractive but this is inspiring..the haircut looks really good on you and the process to style your hair seems easy enough
@@redgirlt Thanks for watching 🙌🏾 And there's nothing to it! Gray hair has it's challenges but the more I learn and practice, the more my love and acceptance for my gray hair increases!
If your hair is 4c, then what is mines? 😂, all this time I thought mines was 4c but after seeing yours not sure now. No one has mentioned a 5c yet but I believe that's me. Love, love, love your hair, of color and all. You are fabulous and beautiful❤❤ thanks for sharing and teaching.
@blkrose5175 Girl, when I tell you that even I'm confused! 🫠 Because even within the 4C category, there are variations!! On top of that, my black hair has a different texture than my gray hair. Nuts 🤪 Anyway, thanks so much for watching and for your compliments 😊 ☺️ 😀
I can't wait until my natural hair grows in so I can style it like this. Your hair looks amazing. Thank you very much for sharing your tips for 4C natural hair. Having the right products and tools is the key to beautifully manageable hair. How frequent do you use the oil sheen?
Glad you found it helpful! I just know you'll love your 'Grey Hair Era' when the time comes. Yes having the right products is KEY for 4C hair. Still doing a lot of trial and error but I'm finding my rhythm. I use oil sheen every few days just to freshen up the style, as it sprays on light but is fairly long-lasting.
@@thenewnarrativewithsylvie I most certainly will love and embrace it. You rock yours with such grace, so I know I'll be able to do the same. Thanks for the tips. Please keep them coming. 🥰🥰
@Erica-BakingCutie Thanks so much! ❤️ 🙌🏾 ECO gel can get pretty dry and flaky too, which is standard for most gels, but I deal with it as best I can by using the sheen spray often. The brand I use is great for dry, thirsty hair.
Thx sooo much for these instructions! I have searched Utube for months searching for what you demonstrated in ONE video. The only step I need to add to my routine is the..."head banging technique " one question, do you use a special product (other than oil)to add some shine to your grey hair? Great Video thx again for sharing👍🏽
So glad the video helped! WARNING: the head-banging step isn't for everyone so if you're prone to headaches or motion sickness, skip it! And regarding the oil for sheen -- I mostly use the spray sheen + that anti-frizz gloss/shine oil to separate my curls/coils. BUT my hairdresser has used the Morrocanoil brand as well.
It takes me about 2 hrs give or take (washing + styling). Allowing my hair to to air dry naturally adds more time than with my diffuser. For morning refresh, I use my afro pic AT THE BASE of my scalp to lift/ add volume, then apply hair sheen oil to my finger tips, then and then pick out some of the coils with my fingers. Depending on how defined my coils are throughout the week, I may finger coil individual sections as needed with styling foam (defines and dries fast). If you need a video about it, let me know!

The head banging would make me nauseous and give me a headache. But it is working for you.
The head banging is not for everyone lol. You can definitely skip this step if need be!
Headache but not the other symptom LOL 🤣
How many days does your curls last for????
about one week (sleeping with a bonnet + refreshing with sheen spray and or oil)

I love the final look, but I would not call it a wash and go hairstyle.
Thanks!
30 mins of drying??!?!?! For me wash and go is just that wash, apply product and go.....I do.not have 30 mins
Yeah it's a longer routine for this particular style, but I like to give my hair extra time to dry. Definitely not for everyone!
Looks nice but stop shaking your hair.
