Started going gray in my 30s..didn’t bother me. Met a man in my late 40s..he asked me what I was going to do with my grays. I colored it and started breaking off the following month. Never again! I love my gray curly hair against my skin tone. Getting older and gray doesn’t bother me but living in Colorado..oh my goodness! These folks out here are very bold in telling me about my gray hair. I go back to NYC..not bothered but out here..grandma, senior discount..oh..you have gray hair. Umm..yes I do and why does it bother you!?! Yes..folks out here are youth obsessed! I’m confident in my skin and leave me be!! Enjoying your content!
Thanks for these important words. I stopped coloring my hair in March 2019. The only reason I didn't stop ten years before is because I wasn't gray enough. Finally I just said to it I'm out. I never looked back. It's a 💯 confidence booster. Never have I received so many compliments. Never. What makes us doubt ourselves is adding sh be it hair dye, injections, even makeup. How many x have you had a mishap because an "improvement" went wrong...grays popping out makeup smear, skin eruption, wardrobe malfunction etc. the more we faking, the more insecure we are. It builds on itself. We have to learn to appreciate our nature selves and stop believing we are ugly if we don't conform to someone else's standard of how we should look. That is a losing battle and ain't nobody got time to be chasing bullshit. You Look Amazing!
I'm so glad I found you...The New Narrative! I have been going through a lot of transition in My life lately, and one of the transitions is Me turning Gray. I wear my hair natural in a fro & I'm starting to do different stylings and it's exciting😊. It's exciting to see My hair evolve into something beautiful in each step of the journey & it's great. So thank you so much, God bless you!
I truly needed to hear this message today. Thank you. I'm 61 and I'm still struggling in the workforce that women with grey hair doesn't mean we are ready for the rocking hair. We are ready to rock your world because we are not a monolith
I get it, I went gray 3 years ago. I’m so glad I did!!! I got tired of dyeing it every week! 🩶🩶🩶 I’ve always had gray hair in my twenties, and was not ready do it. This guy I was dating wanted me to go gray and I did not. A lot of men like it and I’m so glad I decided to do it for me!!!
I finally accepted the fact that I am graying quite rapidly and have decided to embrace it. As of a couple months ago at #48 I am going all in. Your videos have helped tremendously. This one right here....will kick me into high gear in building my confidence. You look amazing and wear it oh so well
Thanks to your inspiration. I am re-writing my narrative, thru my salt n' pepper grey hair to my starting a new exciting side career. Your voice is like silk! Love it! I am owning my grey crown!
Great video and yes that red lip with grey hair makes it pop!! 💋💄The pandemic allowed me to start embracing. I dyed it one last time with Adore which I'd always used their reds. I did a black rinse it didn't take 😮I was so pissed. I said I wouldn't be investing that amount of time in dying my hair again. That was a few years ago now I'm struggling with length 😊. It grows so quickly as it's now fully natural just trying to find my signature hairstyle. About to cut it down with clippers. I've also left hair salons behind.
Thank You for this wonderful video. I was putting natural henna in my hair for 13 years and henna is a permanent hair dye. The last time I put henna in my hair was the month of April 2024. I am amazed how the roots of my gray hair grew out so much in the last 5 months. I will keep trimming the ends of my colored hair once a month. I am loving my gray hair transition. Thank you for your support on gray hair. 😊
Thank you so much for this content I have made so many many attempts to embrace my grey hair and each time I revert back to black or cover it with a wig ! Beautiful affirmations right on time because I was about to color my grey again I had already purchased the color now I will say my affirmatioms!
I, like you had to reach a point in my life where I was able to embrace my gray. It wasn't until I was seventy that I was able to rock my gray with confidence. I love it now, because its easy and wash and go. Its been five years and I am always looking for new styles and colors to enhance my gray.
Thank you so much for your encouragement.. I have embrace my grey hair journey long time ago so this is just the icing on the cake. I'm loving my transitioning, never ever will I trade it❤❤❤❤
❤ .. your video is do refreshing. I recently started to embrace my grey . I cut my hair very low - buzz short and feel so confident I feel bold and fearless and have been receiving so many compliments . . I can’t believe I was fearful to embrace my grey for so long . You are so right about engaging with other mature ladies who are embracing the their grey hair . I feel so elated to be apart of this special club -- the silver fox ❤️.
@jenniferwilliams5090 Isn't it funny how our perceived fears hold us prisoners? When I think about it, it annoys me how much time I lost 😫 But better late than never.
Thanks for sharing this, I am fully gray and I use natural Heanna which turns my hair mauve. Many thinks I've coloured my hair. I'll now set my gray hair free
Love this😊 resonates deeply- the ups the downs, the rocking it moments and the should I dye it again flashes!! Gray lights up the face I think of it as mother natures highlights😊 so I take a deep breath and remember why I wanted to embrace the gift I’ve been given by the universe.
Gray hair is a badge of honor. Being comfortable in your skin and wearing your crown of glory is the ultimate goal of thanking the Most High for your life. The journey is different for each of us. Therefore, embrace what you have been given. G.R.A.Y. is the acronym for Grace, Regal, Accomplished, and Yearning. I have the Grace of a queen. I am Regal in stature. I am Accomplished in my duties as a mother, sister, and friend. I Yearn to be all that I can be.
I am just beginning this journey and you have armed me with some powerful ammunition to make the most of it. Your confidence and beauty radiates through the screen!
wisdom come with it I colour my hair black. just 3 week ago I had to colour it and I say no I will leave it let it go gray I will be 59 in November do not look it have a nice hair cut I told my self it do not need dye
I am transitioning currently. It's been 11 months still not all the way confident. I sometimes still hide the gray which is mostly in front. I hve shoulder length natural curly hair. I want get it cut short like yours now but afraid it won't stand up because the top appears to be thinking. What would you suggest?
You’re cute so you rock whatever hairstyle you decide. For us average looking girls, we need a lil color and also, unfortunately grey hair ages Black women in particular.
@rhythmoflove2 Some who knew me before going grey STILL think I should be coloring my hair and that I look older now. I will not. It's a personal choice. It's an attitude. Regardless of attractiveness (which is relative), one needs to develop the attitude and confidence to combat the boxes that society puts women in -- Black women in particular. But at the end of the day, whatever makes you feel most comfortable is what you should do.

I think my gray hair started in 2019. I like my gray hair but it is a challenge because it desires lots of moisture.
@donnaoneill9940 So does mine. Deep conditioning, as well as leave-in conditioners are a lifesaver for me.
You are beautiful and I'm feeling en
Couraged. Thank

Sorry thinning
If your hair is thinning, there could be something to that. I suggest looking into it before seeing a hair dresser.
And I just subscribed!
Many thanks 😀 Welcome!!
I will stay with you
