- Join us as we brave the inclement weather In Camborne to enjoy wonderful Trevithick Day, an annual town festival to celebrate the life of Camborne’s most famous son-Richard Trevithick (1771-1833), a Cornish engineer who pioneered the world’s first high-pressure steam locomotive.
The festival, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the event, includes street food, merriment, music, dancing and of course the amazing steam engine parade through the main street!

As British Heritage is under now under threat its nice to see Cornish people still remembering the past & not forgetting the immortal Richard Trevithick👏
Thank you for posting, a great day even though it was raining, the puffing devil looked a bit of a handful though, brilliant.

Thanks for watching them. 👍🏻
the Pasty shops must have had a good number of people buying their lunches
Definitely!
Aw man, Rowe's was right behind you, but you plumped for Philp's instead!
At £3.95, i think a Rowe's Pasty is a must have, ( if you can't get a Cornish Oven Pasty or Gear Farm).
And now it's official, Mr Brice is PZ's very own Trencherman!!!
Burger, followed by a Pasty!😂
I’d have to be desperate to get a Rowes!! 😂😂
nothing beats a Pasty for Lunch
Cue Seagull music: I was down by the Helford River yesterday, and funnily enough i just happened to have a Rowe's Pasty in my Rucksack!
Anyway, sometime later a chap came down the path and sat on a bench behind me.
We got talking about walking the Coast path, when he suddenly produced from his Rucksack, ( get ready with that Seagull music) a Ginsters Pasty!!!
In a short while he'd eaten it all, and washed it down with a bottle of Proper Job ale!😂
Right then Mr Brice, play that Seagull music!!!!😄
Goodness! A grimsters!
@@philipsimpson2901 Ginsters? ARRRGGGGHHHH😱😱
the replica of Puffing Devil has a lovely sounding whistle
WHAT! 8.50 for that fat filled barm--- you've been robbed mate!
Did you see sonsie quin
🤔 I don’t recall.
