I really, really like how you built the outer gatehouse. You have a gift for turning something simple into something interesting.

Thank you. It's mostly because the original set is a well designed castle from artistic perspective - I just tried my best to make it work without ruining the overall aesthetics.

I am finding it hard to decide which is better, the fact that you recreated Helm’s Deep in the game or your wonderful commentary.
    Great job and great video.

Well I don't think one would work without the other. There are a lot of decisions to make when building a base like this and I wanted you to understand the choices I made, especially when I changed something to look different than the movie.

Finally! I built the last castle you made and decorated it in 5 days man. I love your builds and info! More.

More is coming, I've got so many ideas for all kinds of stuff - castles, temples, houses, inns. Time's the problem though.

Live stream is definitely a cool idea with a chat and everything so we could share ideas and talk about design, I love it. There are a couple of problems though - I've no idea how to set it up and a much bigger one - my pc is getting a bit to old for this. Especially with bigger builds the performance gets really bad. I can mitigate it when filming to a certain degree (usually I get into an area, wait for the fps to get stable, record then move to another room) but that won't work for a live stream. I'll definitely look into it and try to find a working solution.

Amazing build bman!!! How did you learn so much about castles?

Thanks. You know when kids are just a couple years old and they constantly ask about absolutely everything? Most people loose that curiosity as they grow up, for some reason I didn't. The only thing that changed is once I grew up I could do proper research. Funny thing about the world today is that you can find a book about any subject easily so I read a lot. Castles are just one of many things that I find interesting.

Brilliant way to re-build this epic movie set. Would love to see it decorated and manned with the all Elfs, Rojan soldiers and the army of Uruk-hhai from Mordor. :-)

Of course I'm going to decorate it. Armies might be a problem though - I don't think my pc could handle a couple thousand npcs without turning the game into slideshow.

@@BmanBuilds Yeah....not sure how much the "Thespians" from pippi would influence the performance. The high amount of foundations for sure do. Also great towerdesign with the additional blackice pices you did there! Looking forward to your next vid :-)
