I will say it's a big shame there's no force feedback on the wheel. The auto-spring probably makes it very awkward to use the buttons and joysticks while driving. If they had implemented force feedback this product would really be quite good for casual sims like farming sim and ETS2.

biggest shame is, that you can't buy the Joystick alone, just the whole set.. so you have to buy the whonky steering wheel 😞

@der-ulle I've heard from several different content creators that there's talk of them releasing them separately.
Honestly, I kinda prefer the spring (full disclosure I've never had ff) as it seems easier to defeat. As most heavy equipment is full hydraulic steering I removed the spring from my Logitech wheel to better mimic the feel.
Looks a bit cheap compared to the thrustmaster kit, tbh. Still, it's nice to see a bit of competition, and see these companies starting to realise that there are markets beyond racing games.
I do love that the buttons are numbered, though - with so many controls to map, this is no small thing, and I wish that thrustmaster had numbered everything
Since the Thristmaster system is around $800 and this one is half that at $400 I would say it not only looks cheaper but actually is cheaper. The old adage that you get what you pay for generally holds true. The big question would be is this system sufficient?
@@seanobrien7169 With no force feedback and a auto-centre spring this system is only really good for the joystick.

@@seanobrien7169 the big issue is that FS only supports 2 controllers. Iracing supports as many as my computer and hub and wallet support! I remember flight sim being able to support a lot to. Those are the 3 sims I’ve used with peripherals.
@MrBertstare I use a wheel, pedals, a joystick, a sideboard, and two shift sticks with FS. I've never heard that you can use only two controllers. 😊
I know a lot of people say that it sucks not having force feedback (I dont disagree at this price point it should have it) but the majority of equipment and tractors use hydraulic steering which have no feedback in the wheel so its technically realistic to what its trying to do but definately makes it seem pricey.
My question would be, do you like it enough (or the thrustmaster) to now permanently use it, or do you stay old school?
The joystick looks really useful. Rest is to "cheap", but not much else expected for ~$400

Really like the sticks on the steering wheel, would make walking around so much easier! The G29 and side panel leave a lot to be desired

i sorta like the side panel and the wheel having a dedicated horn button and turn signal stalk but not the lack of force feedback
Farming simulator forcefeed back isn't really a thing anyway. Especially with farming equipment that is direct hydraulic steering with no feedback in the wheel anyway. It would actually be more realistic to have no forcefeedback AND no centering spring for farming equipment.

@@KeaganExtremeGaming only if the game software supports it. FS22’s FFB is really only wheel centering force.

For being strictly pc i would’ve hoped that the steering wheel would be forced feedback instead of an auto center. I get that for $400. you’re getting a lot of buttons along with pedals and a steering wheel, but it looks like they went high-quality(ish)with the pedals and joystick (not so much the plastic buttons) a force feedback wheel is also a bit more realistic. A possible oversight…
but fs doesnt provide ffb readings so even if the wheel had fb you wouldnt feel any of it anyway, unless using on other games that do like assetto, ets2, ats etc, this is an oversight on giants for having a sim game in 23 that doesnt provide ffb.
Only thing i would have change out of the box is the sensitivity of the joy stick
Is the steering wheel rocky cause I seen a video of this setup a few months back and it looked dodgy to be honest so I cancel my order on this to see are they all like this!!
I have not played farm sim for a long time maybe I start playing it again when Farm Sim 24 comes out next year.
So the burning question is compared to the Thrustmaster setup? Of course you can't answer that, but obviously you get what you pay for. But in both cases they are way way overinflated. I would be comfortable paying what the Hori setup is for the Thrustmaster and half that for the Hori. I have the Logitech setup with two side panels and honestly, I prefer just using an xbox controller. I have to admit I am tempted watching these review videos, especially the Thrustaster setup...But the reality is it would be a colossal waste of money...for me...
I would in no way say that either in over inflated. Both are very reasonably priced. Problem with the hori one is that while using the joystick, you have no way to move the camera, which sucks and makes anything more difficult.
And the thrustmaster setup costs way more of you need to buy the whole setup, and it beeing so far from the desk really limits it's use
Yeah I would love to have either of them, but I don’t have the room. My Xbox controller does the job, but if I ever get the room I’d definitely consider getting one
@@philash824 With my setup I have an L shaped desk and three monitors mounted higher up with wallmount brackets. Then there is my office chair and the fact I am 6'4". I am just not comfortable with a wheel setup. Contrary to oleandreas above, the fact the Thrustmaster setup sits further out and is more horizontal might actually work in my favor. But anyway, there is no doubt a wheel and stick gives you better control and I do use my setup. But my PC serves other functions and connecting and disconnecting is a pain and I just prefer to sit more laid back with the controller. It is not as precise, I will not argue that, but it is far more relaxing and comfortable, especially for long multi-hour sessions.

If it were a force-feedback wheel, instead of spring-loaded, I'd be keen. The joystick looks great, though, fair-dos.
I use a G29 and for the most part it feels pretty lifeless on the ffb, especially coming from iracing. In there you could feel lots in fs22 it’s not as in depth.
@@MrBertstare That's true. I have the G923 and the FFB isn't great on FS. Works fine on ETS2 / ATS and racing games, though, as you say.
I have been watching your videos for awhile now, and just started playing the game. Thanks for the introduction to a fascinating new hobby! At the end of the video, you hit one button and sell everything on your trailer without exiting it to access the sale point. How do you do that? Is it a standard control I just haven't been able to find in the regular menus?
What is is doing in the video is un-fastening his tension belts! Once he does that, the products automatically start selling. This works the same for goods that aren't grain or any other "spillable" material. I think only wood sell points you have to get out of the tractor to hit.
Which is better? T248 with the steering kit and farmstick? Or this one?
ordered one on amazon and promptly retuned it. it was alright but really didn't like the huge number of buttons with unclear labels in game. this made mapping difficult. also the wheal feels very tall and has no wheal tilt.
what if you get a tracking IR ? would that help with the looking and will it work ?
This seems quieter than the wheel you usually use. I also noticed in your Thrustmaster video that I could hear the steering wheel through your microphone. Am I imagining things, or was the Thrustmaster steering wheel squeaky compared to this one?
Thrustmaster is releasing a farmstick. im thinking about that one because im using a Thrustmaster wheel and the side panel but an joystick is much nicer then the little stick on the side panel.
Does it fail like the saitek one after 1-2 years? My stick on that one is allover the place

It sucks that they aren't releasing the joystick as its own product like they did with the Saitek / Logitech panel... I already have the T248 and wouldn't use this wheel at all so paying nearly £400 is completely pointless. Although the new Thrustmaster joystick does also look good, I might have to get that if it comes back into stock.

Would these be viable for use with laptop users? I sold my PC to buy a gaming laptop, but I'd love to immerse more into the game with something like this.

Looks OK, but a couple of points:
1. They need to sell the joystick bit apart from the full kit, because the majority of their market probably already have a joystick and pedals they like.
2. I think that one of the button sets at the top of the joystick should have been another analogue joystick for looking around, fixed speed buttons are not really suitable.
It'd be nice to bring that setup to console

Hello everyone, I play with the new Hori steering wheel and have the problem that if I play for a certain time and steer with the steering wheel to the right, the wheels of the tractor only steer to 20-25%. What could be the reason?
I just want something for the ps5!!! Stick, side control anything!!! Been using a Logitech wheel and that’s about it…

400 is alot for some plastic pedals
buy any used H.O.T.A.S. and you will have the same effect plus the ffb wheel plus the H shifter (without i cant play.......)

If the price were half, it would be a strong competitor to the thrust master offering. But it’s just not worth that much.
Lack of full rotation on the wheel, no force feedback, and honestly looks a bit weird imo.

I'm happy using my gaming keyboard Its a HyperX Alloy its fully mappable has all the keys you need it's also RPG and fully programable it only cost me £48,99 that along with Razer Death Adder pro v3 mouse that cost me £120.00 so quote expensive for a mouse but it's a game changer very responsive it doesn't even have to be flat on a desk you can hold it in your hand off the desk. I have used wheels in the past, but they are expensive for what they are they are only for games whereas mouse and keyboard are for everything. My setup works extremely well I would say even better than a wheel setup and it only cost me £168,99 more expensive than a Logitech wheel but so much better IMO.
The price in the U.S. is $400. It's only rated 2 stars. Way overpriced and very cheaply made.

It’s kind of a shame what they used for the connection for the steering wheel pedals and joystick it just seems to me like they should use a barrel connector instead of a like a ethernet plug because I had the heavy equipment bundle and it was a little cord, and it kept breaking, and they sent me multiple replacements because the cord broke twice not very good, so I hope this controller set for farming. Simulator is better. It looks like it is since this controller set for farming simulator 22 is $400. You would think it would be more durable to last.
