@@SuperReview I mainly use pairs like VE Monks when I'm out running so that I can at least hear a small amount of background noise for safety. I really havent bought\found anything recently that I'd say is "good" and mainly stick to budget pairs.
Glad to see your review of it. I must admit I was curious about it as I do enjoy an earbud every once and a while but the fit is always a cause for concern. Edit: I do own the Moondrop VX Classic earbud. I do enjoy it very much but the fit for me is horrible.
If you don't wear foam, it sounds completely opposite to the HI-FI perspective, but it produces good sound when listening to bass-oriented music. Of course, the sound of earbuds may vary greatly from person to person, but it wasn't that bad. Personally, I liked it much more than the Apple EarPods. and I agree that with the foam installed, you can only hear bass, which is a bad sound. (I don't know English, so Google Translate)
Moondrop's QC/production lines must be really inconsistent. They sound fine with the foams to me. Mainstream. But much better than the old Sennheiser earbuds. The Apple buds sound tinny to me...but I love them for voicecalls. Jürgen
@@SuperReview ...and/or our different moods during testing? After all, who needs another $35 earphone/earbud...especially when one after another is mainstream...and repetitive. We six at audioreviews essentially stopped accepting such...not interested in "moreofthesame"...would be different if we monetized from viewership, ads, and/or affiliate links, but we don't. The Moondrop Yuki Shiro was a really bad earbud to my ears. That's why I always recommend looking at all serious reviews.
Earbuds are hard to measure in graphs that would make sense to what we actually hear, and each of our pair of ears will define how it does sound and fit (even more so than with IEMs and many headphones). So it's hard to review them other than stating "my opinion is..." Thus I understand the brevity of the review, as they obviously did not work for you. I wish more was expounded about the treble extension without the pads. I have NOT heard them, but have had the Shiro Yuki in the past (OK, but resemble their low price point-a bit middy as well, and "plasticky.") Also have and enjoy the Chaconne, which sounds will also vary as usual depending on ears and fit, but are definitely a wonderful sounding set for most, including myself. Only con of those is that they are earbuds! And a bit big. But what a gorgeous sound, bass to the lovely, airy treble. Still, the price of this U2 set is so low, and can be used without foams, so it wouldn't be much of a monetary loss. I still have my Chaconne, and some restaurant meals could cost more. I imagine if they are "crunchy", that these are middy without the pads, but could sound decently good in my ears and to my taste. I am used to mid-mids centric headphones/earphones, so can imagine the tonal balance.
I'm a buds guy, I generally was considering getting the U2 but I think I'll skip this one. I really wanted to get the Moondrop Shiro Yuki but it's been discontinued for so long now. I think some Riku Buds will be my next purchase. The Vido2022, FAAEAL Snow Lotus 1.0 & FAAEAL Rosemary are my current favourites. The CatEar mimis are okay and idk what people were hearing with the VE Monk + bud they sounded pretty bad and have one of the worst cables on a bud I have ever owned.
You are missing an N on a couple of your labels on your storage container…couple of them say Moodrop. Anyway, that’s a lot of Moondrop IEMs!!! Those U2 things look ugly and I don’t see me buying them or any other earbuds.
@@SuperReview I really love the build and comfort. Sound is smooth and bassy, but I have to agree with you that detail isn’t great. They’re a little too mid-forward also on some tracks. That said, I don’t think they’re the worst-sounding Moondrop. The original Chu and Quark are both worse to my ears. They seem like kind of a perfect pair of buds for bed because of the way the cables are secured. I’m hoping the construction will prevent wear at the connector. I know you like to wear multi-kilobuck IEMs to bed, but I have a tendency to destroy stuff in my sleep.
After debassing the sound, now I love it so much. Hopefully my endgame earphone for long to future. I can't use IEM as every eartip size, material, shape just won't fit my ear and there's no custom eartip service in the country. All headphones feels too dull for whatever reason. Also perfectly fit in my ear
sounds better than the kbear something name that i have but this is cost much more, some tracks are terrible but dont buy this for the best sound just a set i put on my ear on days i dont wanna stuff a iem into my ear..the sound is just alot of bass and too much sometimes until it muddles out everything lol cable is thin but design is i can say unique..got it way cheaper from local retailer and online platform so its all good
Mark, you spent 9 min. telling us about the worst earbuds, you had to really enjoy this one 😆👍 I mean you did just quick a few seconds impress. on many good sets, but willing to do whole review for this 😉🙋♂️❤️
absolutely disagree regarding negative things to them. in this review it was not mentioned that tonality and real timbres are amazing and much more better that many earbuds. and this earphones had a BODY and you don't need to imagine it (as with other flat earphones). Yeah, not so detailed but the are great ones and worth each dollar paid for them.

I would sooner blame our different ears than I would quality control, Moondrop's QC is typical.
