Heat definitely surfs along the popularity of Formule One racing. It is not only the hype, but Days of Wonder managed to put down a really solid racing game. It borrows elements from Formula DE and other race games, but that is not a bad thing. In my experience the finish is always tight, because of the excellent catch-up mechanism. So it becomes a game of timing, using your heat wisely and saving the best cards at the perfect moment. Much fun, even if the theme doesn't appeal to you.
