Most inconsistent wireless capsules. Have 4 that have already died and they are sonically different from capsule to capsule. I guess you get what you pay for.
@@jasonlapasinskas5302 Hoping the MC2 is better, have you tried those? For the Sennheiser systems, just bought one looking to use it on a EW-D handheld transmitter. Guess I'll see soon enough
At our church we're loyal to the SM58 capsule since the late 1990s, either wireless or wired. The standard Shure sound, and it's great for our Pastors and worship team. Blessings and greetings from Guayaquil, Ecuador 🇪🇨 👍
For the money, read the Sweetwater reviews for the e935. Hands down pro neodymium workhorse mic. KSM9’s are VERY nice. Not a capsule, but a great cheap mic is the EV CO9. They go on sale for $40 every so often. They are not good for handling noise, but have a very likable presence and warmness.
Big fan of the sm58 and ksm9. Although, I really love the DPA d:factos. They reach a depth that I have not heard on the shures and they're completely modular.
b58 or b87a, b58 does just about the same as b87a, the only difference is b87a has a larger condenser. It’s gonna pick up some of your movement as well. I use both but I personally recommend if you are singing with a band and moving around, go with the b58. I find using a larger condenser is better for mostly recording or doing like live plays but that’s just my opinion.
Yes, and all of the supercardioid mics will perform better in a gain before feedback scenario. I get 5db more gain before feedback with a b58A vs a ksm8.
If you all have in ear monitors, it shouldn't. The condenser mics is smazing. Every breth and mouth noise is heard. Picks up amazing close to your mouth.
My biggest beef is with people who don't sing or play well, nor will take lessons or practice. I've seen singing performances done with lower quality capsules or microphones and were beautiful because the singer had a spectacular voice and control of their voice. They "played their instrument" well. Gear is great, but you can't put lipstick on a pig.
I use to be in a church and left after getting fed up with the politics :) anyway, I use to be the main guitar guy! Played well, knew my stuff etc. I use to see singers and musicians come and go! I use to tolerate everyone :) but it was annoying to musicians or singers who were rubbish!! Which is fine! but the ones that got up my nose were the ones who had an ego! Thought they knew it all! The church had a mix of legit and counterfeit Shute SM58 mics, didn’t point the fakes out to the experts :) they also knew best :) anyway, I use to a shure 87c kicking about all the time! Nobody wanted to use it?? Said it sounded horrible? I use to say, it highlights everything :) if your a bad singer! It will enhance that ;) even the better singers avoided it??? I use to hate seeing it gathering dust!! Another thing about bad singers! They would say my playing was distracting them? I was perfectly humble and fine :) I also felt like saying! I can play! You can’t even stick to the right key :)
@@Gibson1976uk I hope you did find another church to settle into; hopefully with some more humble musicians and singers. I went through a terrible situation about 4 years ago--and the new church wasn't much better in some ways! The issues didn't change, but I needed to work through some attitudes. Take care. :)
I tried a bunch of capsules just to learn the acoustic treatment in our auditorium is the main problem.
Super huge fan of the sE V7 MC1
I have the same with a QLX D system, it sounds great

VPH handle is a great invention! Now I can use any wireless capsule! (I have the ElectroVoice ND-76 capsule and a Shure KSM 11)
hey, i have a beta87 and wondered if the KSM capsules are inter changble with the body of the 87 ?
Great video. I never really knew the differences between the capsules. Thanks for sharing.
What's the difference between the 87A and 87C capsule?
How's the experience with a B87C versus a B87A? It's a bit wider, so I assume it would sound more natural.

Which capsule is best recommended for live performance? Thank you.

Telefunken M80 and I stand by that! 😂
Will I deal with more chances for feedback if I upgrade my SM58’s to a condenser?

Guys, anybody knows if I can use KSM9 or KSM11 on my SLXD? I have it with beta87a it’s amazing .
Yes sir. Thee capsule are compatible with SLXD, ULXD, QLXD. 😊
Perfect timing
Great video 👍
Good video, thanks!

Oh man that one hurt. You’re right though
You can put lipstick on a pig, Ms Piggy does it.
Well put! Garbage in is garbage out.

This is only representing Shure mics.
Look up DPA and Neumann as well.
Yup. The SHURE t-shirt gave it away :)
DPA is the Beast
Nothing compares to the DPA 2028 and the 4011.
Gracias…
SE Electronics v7 capsules are the best IMO. Second best is the Shure KSM9
