Good morning everyone! During the off-road driving scene, the Frontier had a weird fault that you can see and hear on camera. We spoke to Nissan about it and they have identified the issue in this pre-production model and it will be fixed in the final productions cars that are heading to dealer next month!
Im glad they decided to keep it a smaller truck, they're the perfect size and still offer a 6 foot bed. Thank you Nissan im definitely considering this
A lot of people have bashed Nissan in recent years due to their CVTs, spotty reliability etc. and perhaps rightly so. However, I'm very impressed with Nissan's strong comeback! Whether it's the all new Versa, Sentra, Pathfinder, or this Frontier, Nissan is knocking it off the park! Thank you Sofyan for showing us this very attractive truck!
Just bought this truck and love it. I have owned several Pathfinders and Titans since 2003 through recently. And this Frontier has many of the old Pathfinder features that are great; plus the styling of the Titan. Absolutely love this redesigned Frontier.
Wife got a Nissan rogue in 2015 and never had any issues with it. She upgraded already but still driving the rogue too. Now I'm really considering this truck! Good job Nissan I really like this new design.👍
I’m glad they kept the analog displays for the important gauges. It’s gotten cold enough where I live that digital displays don’t always work, so analog is extremely useful.
@@RalphieTheCat Because they are reliable. Those issues you noted are not reliability issues those are just software issues and have nothing to do with the actual durability of the transmission. Tacoma's are known to last forever.
I'm in the market for a vehicle right now as a first car (at age 25 lol), and the new Frontier is a vehicle that I'm considering getting. Nissan has done a good job redesigning the Frontier and giving it what it really deserves. Great review, Sofyan!
Do not buy a Nissian, did u not see the truck have a issue in this video, that's why I watched it to see if any issues will cone out. My last two Nissians were junk, nothing but problems
This is honestly a terrible time to be a new car buyer. Prices are inflated like crazy because of the chip and other component shortages. I paid $29,000 for my Ford Ranger brand new in 2019. I've seen used ones with the exact same configuration at the dealers, even with more miles than my truck going for $30000.
@@austinschumacher8482 I think he was referring to the rear breaking assist, I had to replay that part to catch it as my tacoma has the birds eye and its a pretty well known feature..
Having owned a couple Frontiers over the years, I'm fairly impressed with this redesign. It is a good looking exterior design and the new engine and transmission combo seems pretty impressive. That said, the interior still seems a bit cheap to me and is still missing a few basic features, like a telescoping steering wheel. Overall, I think it's a worthy update, but I have no plans to rush out and get one. I'm actually shopping for a low mile used 2nd gen Frontier right now, which will be my 3rd Frontier. I do like this redesign, but I see no reason to upgrade from a recent 2nd gen. Also, the 4x4 issue you had was a bit concerning.
@Jon Smith Who gives a sh*t. Not everyone buys a vehicle with plans to sell it. I (stupidly) bought into the Tacoma hype and purchased a brand new 2020 TRD OR and I hated it. It drove like sh*t, gutless power and an absurd level of chassis vibration at nearly all speeds, unbelievably unrefined for a vehicle that cost over $40k. I hated that truck so much I sold it 8 months later because I couldn't stand driving it everyday. The Tacoma is overpriced and over-hyped by cult-like fanboys. Sadly, I learned that lesson the hard way. Don't believe the hype!
I've never been a nissan fan. But to say the interior looks cheap when they went to leather is just ignorant. I thought about buying a frontier a couple years ago. THEN you could talk about cheap. Cheap plastic everywhere.
Totally agree with you guys. Turbos can be downright insane when you have issues ($) with them. I drove 21' Ranger XLT. Is like driving a race car! I absolutely loved the acceleration in that truck, but the reliability later on down the road... Time will tell! Frontiers and Taco's run forever.
This is my favorite body-on-frame pickup now that it's been redesigned. I think it's the handsomest truck on the market and I LOVE that it didn't substantially grow in size like Tacoma, Ranger, or the GM twins. I am more excited about the Frontier than I am any truck other than the Maverick.
Best looking truck in the segment imo I mean it just has every angle just right, my only problem is that garbage vent, Nissan should fix that simple issue asap, THANK YOU NISSAN damnit, about time, lets show these other brands what we are proud of
Great review Sofyan! I think Nissan hit it out of the park with the new Frontier. If this truck proves dependable like the last generation, Nissan will have a much needed winner in their stable.
Nice job. I have watched about a half-dozen reviews today. Yours is the most comprehensive. My only complaints are the unavailability of the King Cab in Pro 4X trim (unless you’re Canadian), and the silver bed tie downs. They could have made those black so they blend in with the bed.
Lol, they didn’t film and edit all these videos in the last day and a half. These are recorded ahead of time and just awaiting the embargo to lift before the video is made public. Regardless, I appreciate the good content.

I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 224,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.
You got lucky, last two Nissians I had were falling apart, the one I have now nothing but problems started under 10k. Letting others know my issues with Nissianis not being a hater.
Don’t be an ass. Wife’s Nissan Maxima went through two alternators, two climate control systems, all of the catalytic converters, etc within 130k. My 05 Frontier had the timing chain issue, which should have been a recall, and the differential went out at 180k, so I dumped the truck. Both cars were very well maintained.
My dad just bought a beautiful metallic blue one, and it’s awesome. Great quality and feels huge when you drive it surprisingly, plus great power! I would recommend one of these for sure!
I traded a 2019 Ranger for the Pro4x and the naturally aspirated engine was one of the main selling points for me. The Ranger had good power, but it wasn't consistent which seems to be common with turbos. I'm also concerned about long term reliability having such a small displacement engine moving so much weight. Besides replacing turbos I think the smaller engine will probably wear out sooner. The interior and everything else was light years ahead of the Ranger. That's the 2019 Ranger, I don't know if anything changed in the years after.
My brother in law has a new Ranger. It is a beautiful truck but I have a 2019 Frontier and LOVE her. The MPG is not as good, but I feel it is a much better vehicle..

This is basic working truck in compact catagory which never needed any luxurious interior or serious off-road capability. The new design looks good and engine without any breakable electronics or motors, which why people buy such vehicles in first place. Btw that's not off roading but unpaved dirt road. Good Presentation 😎👍
The only issue I can see myself having with this truck is I'm just plain and simply not a huge fan of direct-injection because we all know eventually one has fuel injection problems and one has to Walnut blast and it can get expensive I would have loved to have seen dual port injection.

It's actually a German blueprint not a Japanese design weird...? ask Nissan why they put that transmission in all their cars.

Hi. Is this truck also diesel ??? Thank you!!
How comfortable are those Pro4X Leather seats? I drove a PRO-X with the cloth seats and pretty nice. How do you rate the leather ones?
frontier is finally competitive again. looks great
I love mine.
My uncle designed this truck when he was still at Nissan, very cool.
I love your videos any time I need to know anything about a Vehicle I come to your channel first keep up the great work.BTW is there anyway you can get some free music so you can test the sounds system as well
This is basic working truck in compact catagory which never needed any luxurious interior or serious off-road capability. The new design looks good and engine without any breakable electronics or motors, which why people buy such vehicles in first place. Btw that's not off roading but unpaved dirt road. Good Presentation 😎👍
Does the Nissan Frontier have auto leveling for towing. ?
The only issue I can see myself having with this truck is I'm just plain and simply not a huge fan of direct-injection because we all know eventually one has fuel injection problems and one has to Walnut blast and it can get expensive I would have loved to have seen dual port injection.
What's with the yelling guy near the end? Another great review thanks!

What makes you think that the new 2021 titan needs to be re-designed? It looks great to me as is.
I hope they bring back the Xterra based on this Frontier truck platform.
How does it compare to the Colarado? Or are they not in the same segment?
Being a 9sp automatic, what final drive ratio have they fitted to it ?
