You should do a full Australian rebuild of one of the worlds! Just turn it into Australia. It would be so interesting for you to tell us more about the specifics of Australian architecture and culture :)
Absolutely second this! Let her go wild and show us what’s local and familiar to her because it’d really break up the content too (in general not just delis channel)
As an Australian I love the excitement people have for finding out about our architecture and culture… but you definitely should do a three way split of city, beach and bush in a Newcrest build x
I’m from the US and have always wanted to go to Australia. Looks beautiful 😍 Also, I can relate to your health struggle. I had felt extreme fatigue and digestive issues for over a year. I found out I was fighting an infection in my gut, a virus, and extremely low b12. My life is completely different and I’m so grateful that we figured it out. You will too. Sending you so much love 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
The talk about health was lovely 🥰 I fought cancer - not for long because my bunny wouldn’t leave my side so I nagged my doctor until he did the right tests (my bunny moved from my side when I got home cancer free, so I know he knew!). I’m now stuck with hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism (it changes depending on how much meds I’m on) and I have the energy of a 90 year old - old people with walkers walk faster than me all the time. I went for a walk with my mom yesterday and it was a bit longer than what I usually do, so today I’m barely able to move from my bed to the bathroom. It’s a daily struggle and hearing Deli talk about these things, even though it’s not about me specifically, I appreciate it a lot. Please appreciate what you have and what you’re able to do! And enjoy it! (And also check your TSH levels regularly because you can be sick without knowing, just like I was) 🥰
Truly love how you can walk straight from the house to the greenhouse. That is the perfect setup I would have. The garden area is great & yup, I'd put a jacuzzi back there. Lol Glad to see you feeling better & getting back into the routine of things. 😊
We have a lot of paved driveways and patio areas in Canada. You have to use a weed killer sometimes and fill back the grouty sand in between the bricks to prevent plants getting in there. They mostly grow from top down because of seeds and dirt accumulation in between the bricks and not from underneath when it's property built :)
Lovely to see you again deli-bells! I hope you figure out the cause of your sickness and start feeling a lot better soon :) glad you got some personal time to play sims too, take your time in feeling better
I love the idea of a full Australian themed world, especially because I grew up in a small town in Queensland. I just started doing a full rebuild of Oasis Springs as an “outback” world. So far I’ve started building a cafe based on a picture of an old grocery store in an abandoned NSW mining town and added a Queenslander style home I previously built. Planning on doing an iconic small town corner hotel (pub/bar) and a block of terrace houses.
Really grateful to hear understanding growing for people that get sick and never get better. It's very difficult to explain what that's like for those that only ever have accute illness. Love the colours in this build. Xx
i love this mix of the old and the new, as someone who rarely watches tv, i love to see homes in which it isn’t the focal point, this may be my favorite deli build yet!
I love that you are so empathetic and caring towards others! This is a huge reason why I love watching you 🫶🏻 I hope you find answers and wellness soon Deli ✨
US here, with brick walkways everywhere! When laying brick now, you put a stone underlayer and then fill the gaps with a crushed stone that compacts with water (or rain) so it doesn't typically grow grass between. Eventually, you need to refill it. But for the other paths without that, we spray a vinegar/water mix on the weeds and it kills them.
Happy to see you back on my feed but sending you all the rest and healing so you can be back at 100% soon! Thanks for being so open and honest about it, it de-stigmatizes societal's weird stance on talking about health. I appreciate you. 💕 also amazing build. Agree w the comments that an Australian inspired newcrest would be welcome when filming is easy again :)
I live in the UK and we have a brick driveway, it sounds kind of weird but you put sand in the gaps and crevices and it stops the weeds from coming through :)
I'm happy to hear you're feeling better, and it's also nice to hear that you're starting to appreciate your homeland again. It's always okay to recognize the relative merits and drawbacks of your home and other countries. Trust me there are a lot of reasons not to envy Americans!
I totally understand the being sick and it changing your perspective. I’m chronically ill, and it’s made me appreciate all the little things in life. And also the gratitude!
I really understand your gratefulness since being sick. I've been pretty ill and have chronic pain for around 5 years now and the small things that I previously didn't think about are now so important to me. Things I can do and freedoms I still have are so precious. So so grateful for free healthcare as well.
To be honest... We in South Africa have brick paving for driveways. Yes there are weeds growing through. But we maintain it... It really is a good better option regarding a plain pavement of cement. But also a little expensive given the area you want paved.
So glad you are back and feeling better because your videos are so comforting to watch before bed! Also can’t believe this was a 30x20, it’s such a good use of the space x
I'm so happy to see you are coming back! I understand how you feel about not knowing what is happening or what caused your illness. I hope you do find out soon enough so that it puts your mind at ease! Take care of yourself and continue to put your health first 🥰
I LOVE the way the basement kit retro tv looks on the metal growing together table - it looks very mid century but also just so cool. The ways you used the triangle roof wall deco from the greenhouse kit was interesting, I hadn’t thought of using it other than being fitted into the roof exactly.
Very insightful commentary, Deli! I am losing my sight and hearing at 30 which (in my experience) doesn't seem like a big deal to doctors but it's been life changing to me! Got to appreciate what I've now while I have it. I hope your tests are proving insightful and helpful ❤ I don't have a lot of these packs or kits but I love this shell so I will def download it! Your Australiana inspired builds are so fun. Very nice to see builds that differ from the American-centrism we often see online.
Hope you’re feeling better soon Deli. I had chronic pain for a few years and thankfully finally found a surgeon who was able to fix it for me, and so I really and truly understand being grateful once you’ve gone through something that affects your health. I can’t imagine living in chronic pain or being ill for like, the rest of your life, so once you dodge that you are grateful forever.
Love how openly you spoke about your current health issues. As a disabled, chronically ill person myself, I really appreciate you being so vulnerable and open about it. Thank you 💜 hope you can find a proper diagnosis, and help, asap 🤞🏻💜
I'm glad you're starting to feel better! And I hope you get answers soon as to what is keeping you sick. Absolutely loved watching this speed build and loved your comments about appreciation and gratitude. My husband and I are moving out of our apartment that we've been in the past 3 years, and for most of those 3 years I complained about it so much, but leaving it has made me feel melancholy so I've been taking time to be grateful for all that it did for me. Especially when there's so many people in the world who don't even have a roof over their head.
Every single one of my sims families garden and I have been building “greenhouses” for years now before this kit. So happy with the kit and the items we got!
So glad to hear you are feeling better Deli! I have an autoimmune disease and relate a lot when you were talking about adjusting to not being able to do your normal things everyday. There were times I could not get out of bed I was in so much pain. It really does makes you a lot more compassionate towards anyone struggling with anything. And yes it really made me appreciate all the little things in my life. It’ll get better, just stay positive 🥰
I used to have a brick driveway and path in the backyard. The weeds would come through and every now and again I’d go round and pick them all out by hand - so fun 😳
Get well soon Deli! I managed to get out and appreciate my town park today with my son for the first time in ages. Hope you can do that soon! Love this build xx
I am so glad you are getting better. I have an autoimmune disease and it took a lot of tests, and times of me being sick before we figured it out. I also have narcolepsy and it gets tough at time. I hope you get answers soon and continue to improve. I enjoy this home so much! It’s very cozy!
Deli I’m literally obsessed with your let’s play i know this isn’t a video about it lol but I just wanted to tell you! It’s so good I’ve been a fan for years ❤
Sending you lots of positive healing thoughts! Hope you’ve been feeling better these days! ❤Always love watching you and your videos, I‘ve been going down a rabbit hole each night to catch up so I have been watching a bunch at a time from a year ago! Lol Love it!
So nice to see and hear from you again!!!! You could be gone years we’d still be fans. Definitely expecting a full on basement build though! Would actually love to just see a basement room uploaded.
You are a goddess of creativity, you manage to create something so unique and brilliant in every freaking build yet it feels so simple and realistic at the same time. Best designer/builder, period. 🙌
About brick driveways. We call them monoblocks here in Scotland. You use a weed proof membrane, then a layer of hardcore (Type 1 or rockbase), then sand and your blocks on top. Once laid you also brush sand onto the little gaps. This makes the monoblock permeable to rain (important in Scotland) and you do get some wee green bits growing through but it's easily maintained really. The monoblock driveway can also be power washed, you just need to brush more sand into the little gaps again afterwards. Civil engineer here so any other questions let me know, it's my passion (sad I know). I know you're super interested in architecture and the use of materials and how well materials work in the built environment xx
I had a forced socials break, so I am managing just now to slowly catching up heheh First of all sorry to hear about you being hill and still figure out what's going on, it sucks, took you ages to recover from ur injury and after that this I have the feeling that the Universe gave u enough challenge so things will turn around .. NOW hehe .. I am really enjoying the new kits OMG the basement stuff it's so good ... WoW every time that I watch one of ur build video I am Amazed, on how ur builds style improved, u can be Proud, also how is changed through the years, this Green House feel that have characters and personality, I am moving in tomorrow haha
i love how all your builds have so much character! seconds before you yourself said that houses tell stories i though that as well and how i really love when people build like that! starter houses for the perfect nuclear family are nice but what about 3 stinky college dudes living there? what about a family that renovated the last time like 25 years ago and used elements that were in then but not now? (I watch a lot of Alexandra Gater and right now she's renovating her childhood home and talks about denim couches and weirdly shaped walls and its just... idk those things stay with you!!) of course i love your lux builds as well, but they too are build with so much intention, i love it
I grew up with a brick driveway. Yes there were weeds growing in the cracks, and we ignored them. (We lived next to a bush reserve in Australia, so the drive way was the least of our worries with abundant nature). The car will either drive over them, and if you're picky you can use weed killer.
I really am so in love with your builds, especially your houses ❤ They are so easy to add extra rooms and to play with a big family. Really ❤❤❤ your houses. We have a brick driveway and the weed during the summer months is driving my husband crazy 😅
In Canada homeLY is another word for ugly (instead of saying someone or something is ‘ugly’, oftentimes the boomer generation would use ‘homely’ instead) 😅 The first time I ever realized it’s considered a good thing in Australia, was watching your channel!
I would LOVE to see an Australian based theme build of Newcrest. Everything from federation and earlier era to modern new homes. It would be such a great save file and I would download SO FAST!!! I feel like we often get forgotten in architecture!!
Hello Deli, growing up I had a brick driveway we placed a plastic cover before placing the brick to prevent weeds, grass from sprouting. It was very beautiful. I adore your build hope you feel better soon
Another Australian here, I'm inBrisbane. I've got several chronic health issues. And while I love our country lots of reasons, I'm grateful for our access to health care. I'm glad that you're getting good care, and you're on the mend.
Omg, the floor plan is amazing! ✨️😍 I struggle with building, but your videos give me soo much inspiration. Thanks for sharing, Deli, and hope you start feeling better soon! 💖
Hey Deli! I’m glad that you got to put out another video finally. I hope you’re getting better quickly. I would like for you to do another Newcrest build or Willow Creek or you could do like any of the worlds that you wanted and I would love it. I love watching your builds! They give me inspiration and I learn whenever I watch you make cozy homes like this one! 😊 but to see like the more modern style of Australian homes because you do so good at them! I feel like I’ll be blown away if you start a new world build! 😆 I love you! You’re my favorite streamer!
I feel you with the sickness. I've been sick for six weeks now. I'm feeling very rundown at this point. Unfortunately, I still have to work. Gotta get that mortgage paid. Also, my partner built a greenhouse from scratch, out of wood and shade cloth a few years ago. Had a door and some shelves. I was very impressed. Unfortunately, he built it at his Mum's house, where we were living at the time, and there's not much room to build one at our new house.
I've been living in Australia for eight months as a working traveler, and I totally agree with you, I think your country is wonderful! So rich with wildlife, nature and culture
At least in my area of the US, brick or pavers are meant to be laid over a special layer of sand called slag sand. It is similar to really finely ground concrete and is typically poured down in a pretty thick layer of a few inches. Then it gets leveled, then packed down so it doesn't move. Then when you place your bricks down, they should stay nice and level. And there is pretty much nothing, at least around here, that will grow in the slag sand because it is so dry. My dad used to work in landscaping and I helped him do our back patio in pavers about 10 years ago and it is still doing great with hardly any weeds!
I feel like Deli’s style is what I’m always hoping my style could be but am never successful. Looks great! Hope your health continues to improve and you get some answers.
Deli, I know exactly what you mean about a shift in perspective when you’re not at full health. I broke my leg last fall and it made me so much more appreciative of everything that I have in life
Hey Deli :) Glad to hear you are feeling better! (In the US, homely usually means like... plain. it's not really derogatory, but it's not a compliment either, it's what you say when you don't have a compliment but don't want to be rude)
True- but calling a person homely is just kinda rude(not a common insult tho lol) but also deli we know what you mean when you say it, especially when you always say both lol @deligracy
I've been getting into your videos recently (down the rabbit hole of lilsimsie to plumbella to James Turner to you!) And I'm happy to have this chill content, even though you're not feeling well, and hearing the differences in our countries' cultures, because I'm from the US. Thank you Deli, and I hope you feel better so, so soon.
OH! I wanted to comment on the fluffy towel thing! While I lived in Japan, the suggestion I was given was that you need to shake the towels after washing them (like you're trying to get Bowser's fur off of it) before drying? I'm not certain if that really helped. I've also heard that darker towels keep their fluff better, not sure if this is true!
This was such a lovely build and very inspiring way of building with the new kit 👍 the house looked really cozy and liveable 😊 In the UK, brick driveways are definitely a thing! I don't have one so don't know how the weeds are dealt with! Also, homely means welcoming and warm in the UK, so no negative connotations here! Hope you feel better soon 🤞
An Australian Newcrest sounds amazing! My best friend moved to Australia a couple years ago and I would love to have a little glimpse of what buildings look like over there 😊 In my opinion, I would like to see you build without any limitations, but I can imagine people wanting to be able to download the lots without too much trouble! Anyway, take care and I hope you find answers soon regarding your health❤
Thank you deli, hope you’re well. This is helping me today, had to say goodbye to one of our cats, Diego passed yesterday after a long battle with his kidneys and it’s absolutely broken me xx
We have a bricked driveway, but it’s a green parking space. So the grass are meant to pop up between the brick. So we just cut it if it gets too long. It makes the driveway look really green and inviting 😊 But I think usually you put a weed mat under to at least try to keep the grass and weeds out.
@deligracy we appreciate you so much for even taking the time to make these videos! For me, they help brighten my day and make me excited to play the sims. I hope you feel 100% better soon ❤ thank you for all you do for us!!
We have the brick driveway in the UK. It's very important that we regularly deweed the drive as the weed is very very stubborn and will grow constantly. There's a wire brush that you can buy at garden centres which is used just to clean gaps between each brick. If you don't look after it, it won't look beautiful like the sims - only to look like you are a lazy home owner who neglect house maintenance lol
Please do an Australian Newcrest! That would be amazing! We can learn all about the architecture, design and history of the builds you create❤
Yes yes yes yeeees!!!!
Yes! (And I'm not Australian and would love to see that!!!)
Oh my God I was going to say the same thing. I'm not even Australian and I want to see that feel like it'd be beautiful❤
That would love sooooo good
I would absolutely LOVE this !!!!!

Absolutely agree! I’m from Queensland but I love the look of NSW/VIC terrace houses. The ornate front balconies look really nice.
@@shutterbug8860 100%, I’m always looking at buildings around the country

Hello Deli, growing up I had a brick driveway we placed a plastic cover before placing the brick to prevent weeds, grass from sprouting. It was very beautiful. I adore your build hope you feel better soon
It's so great to see you again! Hope they can find out what's wrong and hope you get better soon. Great build, as always!
Another Australian here, I'm inBrisbane. I've got several chronic health issues. And while I love our country lots of reasons, I'm grateful for our access to health care. I'm glad that you're getting good care, and you're on the mend.
So sorry you've been sick Deli, I hope you feel better soon! Love your videos and your vibe. Stay strong 😊❤
The styling of this build was so beautiful! I'd love to see a family home in this style 👨👩👦
🎉🎉 Deli time!
Welcome back! Glad you're feeling a little better. Wishing you the best!
Love this build!
Omg, the floor plan is amazing! ✨️😍 I struggle with building, but your videos give me soo much inspiration. Thanks for sharing, Deli, and hope you start feeling better soon! 💖
Between watching Deli and James, and listening to the Toni and Ryan Podcast, I am surrounded by Australians and I am not complaining! :D
Missed you deli! I hope you get better soon! Thank you for posting another video. Your videos make me happy and thank you for being you.
As a textbook impatient Aries, I am all for the speed builds!!! 😂 Love this!
Wonderful build, as always Deli! Sending prayers for your test results to give you the needed answer and for a speedy recovery ❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽💜💜
Love to see you back at it! I'm not a huge fan of speed builds but I love any Deli video. Would love to see an Aussie Newcrest!
❤️❤️❤️
I think this is my absolute favourite build of yours, I’m literally obsessed!
I could listen to Deli say "corridor" all day! 😍
I think the house build is really cute! I’m enjoying seeing these Australian architecture inspired builds.
Wishing you good health!
So lovely to see you again 🥹 I’m sending you so much love and support! I hope everything clears up very soon for you 🩷
American here and I think homey or homely are compliments the ones who don't think so can leave 😅
such a beautiful build as always! take care of yourself, Deli!! hope you feel better soon ❤
I feel like Deli’s style is what I’m always hoping my style could be but am never successful. Looks great! Hope your health continues to improve and you get some answers.
Deli, I know exactly what you mean about a shift in perspective when you’re not at full health. I broke my leg last fall and it made me so much more appreciative of everything that I have in life
Welcome back! I am so glad you are feeling better! I look forward to you videos and I'm glad you're back and feeling better :)

Hey Deli glad you are feeling better, absolutely beautiful build as always.
This was such a lovely build and very inspiring way of building with the new kit 👍 the house looked really cozy and liveable 😊
In the UK, brick driveways are definitely a thing! I don't have one so don't know how the weeds are dealt with!
Also, homely means welcoming and warm in the UK, so no negative connotations here!
Hope you feel better soon 🤞
Yes! The plant pot! Do you remember their red kitchen counter from sims 1? Haha
So relaxing to watch while I do my nighttime routines ❤ love this build!
This is so beautiful deli! I’ve been watching you since I was 16 (I’m 25 now!) and you never cease to impress me. Glad you are feeling better :D
Thank you for watching for so many years, that really warms my heart hearing it!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We have a bricked driveway, but it’s a green parking space. So the grass are meant to pop up between the brick. So we just cut it if it gets too long. It makes the driveway look really green and inviting 😊
But I think usually you put a weed mat under to at least try to keep the grass and weeds out.
@deligracy we appreciate you so much for even taking the time to make these videos! For me, they help brighten my day and make me excited to play the sims. I hope you feel 100% better soon ❤ thank you for all you do for us!!
Lovely home Deli! Good to see you back… Take good care and sending lots of love! ❤❤
❤️
We have the brick driveway in the UK. It's very important that we regularly deweed the drive as the weed is very very stubborn and will grow constantly. There's a wire brush that you can buy at garden centres which is used just to clean gaps between each brick. If you don't look after it, it won't look beautiful like the sims - only to look like you are a lazy home owner who neglect house maintenance lol
