You and James should take turns designing a dream house. You get ten minutes and then have to hand it to the other, and no changing things the other has done.
Think it's time for James' version! Side note: having a mudroom with laundry is amazing - you can take off winter wear / dirty socks and dump it right then and there in the laundry.
That is definitely in my dream house. Side/garage entrance straight into a mud room that has 1: toilet 2: big shower 3: washer/dryer. That way no matter what mess you or your dog got into, you can clean off before going into the rest of the house! (Toilet is a different type of emergency preparedness, not for dirt lol).
Deli, since you wanted a courtyard and are into sustainability, you should make the home fully circular and put a fountain in the middle. Back in the day, they’d build houses like this in humid climates (Spain, really.), and then the open windows and architecture creates a wind tunnel that produces constant breezes, but also…AC. The fountain serves the purpose of evaporation cooling. The wind flows over it, evaporates the water, and you get pretty effective cooling. If you live in a dry climate, wind tunnels are what is used, combined with heat dissipating materials (that’s why you see adobe in Arizona and mud in other places.). They’re still used in place of AC all over the world to this day. ^_^
Yeah, other times it's a bit harsh, but having watched James, that's just the way he communicates. Sometimes though looking on outside it's like just be happy for Deli and nod ur head lol 🤣
I've got to say, I never enjoyed minimalist or modern styles until Deli and James' videos. There's just something about the way they build em, that they always feel classy and homey at the same time! So not like real life Modern houses 😂
I recall watching you a few years ago but have recently gotten back into the Sims after being diagnosed with cancer. I love the growth and confidence ✨️ . I enjoy watching the great dynamic between this channel and the other channel. I also love the home remodel content!
I love to watch you two together… You crack me up! You really should do more content jointly, it’s precious ❤️❤️. James’ sense of humor always makes me laugh out loud and I think the house turned out quite nice Deli. I would’ve gone with some different choices on furnishings but I really love the house! 👍🏻👍🏻💜. I want to see James redo this house in his style and taste!
I LOVE how your gameplay has evolved along with your whole self!! It's SO nice watching you figure out what your "dreams" are and hearing you speak positively about the way our tastes and such change. (Also eager to see the vlog on your other channel about your journey with getting off medication!! I weaned myself off all my meds in 2020 but I'm interested to hear what the experience is like in Australia (vs the states). 💛
A couple of years ago my dream home would have been a super modern house, with lots of space, two floors, and all that stuff, but after actully experiencing living on my on, i would feel so much better living in a small home, maybe something like a cottage (i was born in the country). I just feel a biger home would just feel so cold, and not cozy, so that is defenely a big change of mind lol
When I was like 10 I was into SUPER minimalist boxy modern houses and I’m so glad 10 years can’t build houses because I hate that now lol. I want a little wooden cottage which was what I hated when I was 10. I also used to hate cities and wanted to live in the country but now I hate the idea of living in the country and want to live in a big city. Sadly, cottages and cities don’t tend to mix.
Would also love to see you continue the existing or start a new "my dream life" series. Maybe you could even collab with James and you take turns doing episodes e.g. you do episode 1, he does episode 2, you do episode 3 etc. You could even let one of you build the house and the other person furnish it.
The only thing that hasn’t changed, is that you are still my favourite TH-camr! I don’t even play the sims anymore but I still watch all your video 💖! So thank you for all your hard work 💖! Love ya gal! 💖
I've been here since one of your first videos in 2013, crazy long ago. I still remember your small brick wall apartment and watching you build your dreamhouse gets me kinda melancholic. I was 10 then, recently turned 19 and moved out of home. Went from watching you tired after school to watching you while I cook my own meals. You've had such a big impact on my life. Thank you ❤️
It’s funny I’ve literally been watching James series with Semaj where he basically robs your old dream house. I love them both personally! I completely agree style changes through the years. That’s one reason I always try and stick neutral when decorating. Love you deli and hope you’re enjoying real housewives of Beverly Hills!! 😁
Well, my dream house ideas definitely changed over the years. I live in a three-flat old house that one day will belong to me and one of my brothers, but atm my dream home would be small with an open stable and a pasture for two horses, because I want to get into horseback riding. It's been a childhood dream of mine.
I have a doomsday room in my basement, and that's also where we keep the kids! :D It's actually a lot like yours, open to the upstairs and we even have a whole wall of windows. It's fully finished with the kids' rooms and a nice family room, and I do keep a lot of emergency preparations and a bajillion cans of beans down there.
Fun fact Deli: there is a bacteria in the soil that has antidepressant properties! I was wondering why i felt so much better after taking care of my plants and then found out this, and it makes so much sense :) Great built as always!
I absolutely loved this house!!! It was perfect perfect perfect in my eyes and I would not change anything! personally i thought it was a great amount of practical and fun dream house
It kinda crazy I drew out a plan for my dream home and I went for the exact same shape hahah. I also think about the living space only being one level so that everyone can get around easily. Just thought it was kinda cool how alike we think (:
Growing up with concrete floors my whole life (plus growing up in asia meaning we didn't have footwear indoors), I can confidently say that your feet wouldn't be sore with the floors,,,, mainly because you wouldn't be standing the majority of the time at home
Poor James is always shortchanged 😂 It’s a beautiful house. I’d love to see you both work on a dream house together, and no restrictions on size so you can both get what you want. It’s the Sims after all, so the sky’s the limit 😉 ❤️
I live in Kentucky - loads of tornados. Basements are a must have. Mud rooms tend to have tiled floors for easy cleanup. My MILs mud room has a little sink and a hose as well. They're also usually off the back of the house or the kitchen. You're not going to be surviving in your bunker for long with your gennies inside.
So fun to see this change over the years! I hope you get your solar panels & kitchen renovation soon! And I can’t wait for the vlog about your medication journey, but of course take your time, we’ll always be here to listen!
The appeal on concrete or stone flooring is the lovely cold on your feet during summer. It tends to maintain a temp fairly well so nice and cool I’m summer and passive heating in winter. Add a couple of thick rugs for cushioning where you would be standing still, and it’s an ideal choice for Australia
Love the house Deli! We have been designing our house and made a laundry/mudroom that is accessible from outside and inside for when us/kids/dog come home muddy from walks or sport etc! We put a shower in it too =D
I like how they're going to possibly have 3 kids and put them all in one bedroom in the basement. I aslo agree about the laundry being to far from the kitchen, and who'd want to hear the washer and dryer going in the main living area? Anyhow, this house is pretty awesome.
I think you and James should both design your own dream houses, then switch them with eachother to see what you would do to make it more of a blended dream house.
As a Dutchie, hearing mud rooms mentioned as an extra thing, maybe even a bit luxe, always gets me XD. Over here, pretty much all houses are built with a hallway behind the front door which holds coat racks/shoe storage, often the downstairs toilet, and gas/electric utilities, before going into the living room through another door.
My dream house has definitely changed over the years, after having kids especially. Living where there are tornados having a basement is a must have. One level(not counting basement), butlers pantry, laundry room, mud room/area, dining room for a large table, big stove top, solar, heated flooring(really dreaming with this), office area, fenced in flat backyard with garden area, large garage...my dream things.
hearing you talk about gardening is always amazing to me. I tried it so often, but for the life of mine I cant keep plants alive - I would so love it though
When I lived in England I hated that they had the washing machines in the kitchen. I don’t want dirty clothing near food, or clean clothes in a kitchen. In Norway we have the washing in the bathroom and it makes more sense to me. You can have a hamper in the bathroom where you shower and change clothes and don’t have to carry your dirty laundry around the house.
But I love the house you built. All though I am a techie at heart, I love neutral earthy colours, stone, and woods just appeal to me. My current flat is very ikea (I am a Norwegian-Swede combo, it’s in my blood). But my dream house wood have stone, marble, woodwork and a maid 😂
That bathtub by the window and the public sidewalk outside... James made a comment and I immediately thought it would be funny to catch someone walking by and you could stand up in the tub and say "thank you for watching and have an awesome day" 😂😂😂
I love the extra doomsday bed cause on the one hand it's really sweet of you think of protecting a friend/fam from a natural disaster/hypothetical apocalypse but on the other hand that's ultimate third wheeling. Like they'd be literally sleeping above you.
I'd put the laundry in the walk-in closet area, if it's next to the bathroom the plumbing would still be practical! That way you're not walking across the house to get your laundry done and the clean clothes can be put away easier.
the fact that she mentioned how it's more convenient to have a one story home because of injuries and getting old almost made me cry. I'm currently looking at houses with my boyfriend, but I also just got surgery on my hips and he's always looking at one story homes for the same reason. Everytime I try to do my "dream home" in the sims i end up doing a two story and it never feels like a dream home, but omg this house is perfect! ❤️ (with the laundry in the butler's area and the doomsday basement included)
Omg so adorable! Turner has me wanting to play Sims 2 again after watching that old series of his. Hate he didn’t finish it. This house is so well organized and lovely! Oh and the stains in the corner of your mouth while you play without you knowing is simply too cute! 🍵🥰
my dream house has changed so many times. right now I'm in a strong small house, gardening living off the land phase 🤣 but I think this one will stick for a long time
Nicely done! I’m not sure what I’d want in my dream home except I know I’d love the idea of feeling close to nature. My hubby’s version would have a lazy river.
Pretty much my ideal home too. Just with more storage space. Maybe an entire room, just to stock the ironing board and the vaccuum cleaner and seasonal decorations. I also find the floor plan without stairs ideal but it's warm in summer and cold in winter.
my dream home has definitely changed. I want NEED my own sewing and quilting room. Complete with a bar, coffee maker, stereo, and small tv with a great sound system.
Such a nice dream house, loved the outdoors area. The way you placed water bowls all over the house for the dog tell me you're quite nurturing, so you probably wouldn't put future kids in the basement 😁.
Oooh something kinda common (I think) in our country is something we usually refer to as "dirty kitchen", which, from the name itself, typically gets dirtier faster. Like a mud room of sorts, but it's not at the front of the house, it's like a back/side entrance and it's usually big enough to have place for a kitchen situation (usually for cooking stuff that might be bigger/messier, but normal cooking just goes in the normal kitchen), an area for laundry, and either its own toilet and shower or at least a path to access the shower without walking through a huge part of the house.
Just a fun fact from someone who use to work at a pool shop. Salt water pools still have chlorine in them. The chlorinator turns the salt you add to the pool into chlorine. It is better than a regular chlorine pool as you don't have to straight up dump chlorine in your pool and it stays healthier longer.
I wanted a tiny house before (less to clean, possibly partially off grid or fully off grid) but after thinking about it, I'd like a small home or a modular home. I'd like to have space for myself, my future spouse, and our dog to be able to live and not be on top of each other. Dark, warm woods, whites, greens and blues and metallics. Modern/contemporary mixed with fantasy/medieval 😂❤️
I have polished concrete flooring and love it. It's super easy to clean and is perfectly fine on the feet, though it can get a little chilly if you go without socks.
We have a tiny green house in SA to help us start the tomato's until they are seedlings then they go into the garden, granted we live on a cattle farm so we don't grow heaps of plants Also we have like a gravely stony floor but it is polished so is really nice on the feet. Down side is it gets really cold in the winter but is nice and cool in summer
I love the build! Awesome Doomsday room! You could prove to James how efficient it is by sneakily locking him in there for being mean about the boot nook, laundry and greenhouse! 🤣😂🤣
I would go for the laundry room close or next to the bedroom/bedrooms. That way when you folded it would go quicker to put away, also it would be quicker to collect all the laundry ❤️
I would love to see you and James build your dream house together! Because this is your dream house and James's dream house is obviously going to look a bit different from yours!
You and James should take turns designing a dream house. You get ten minutes and then have to hand it to the other, and no changing things the other has done.
Yes plz
Love that idea!!
This is such a good idea!!
Love that!
I second this. 🤘🏻
James’ comments on how things aren’t realistic when his builds have bank vaults surrounded with crocodile-infested lava 😂♥️ love it
I’m not so sure about the tools being in the greenhouse 🤔
You need to build your version for a video!
@@jessicamaples-foster1928 I agree.
Clearly we need you to make your version of a dream house
It would be interesting to see you build your version on your dreamhouse.
Pretty sure they'd rust quickly, and if you did do any woodworking in there you'd be getting wood dust on the plants.
Think it's time for James' version! Side note: having a mudroom with laundry is amazing - you can take off winter wear / dirty socks and dump it right then and there in the laundry.
Ah I love this idea!
yes, that's what we have where I live, it is very common! you come through the garage and the laundry and mudroom is right there!
Deli: showing off her gorgeous build
James: wOaH 🤯
the way james says WOAH makes me laugh everytime. it’s like WO 🤣🤣
Woh. Woh.
How many woahs 😂😂

That is such a smart idea omfg
Who else is confident that James office would end up in the bunker if they had kids 😂
LOL
.. And then we still can get their videos when the world is ending! 👀
It’s funny how critical James is. James is like “this house is not for me nothing is practical lol”.
Yeah, other times it's a bit harsh, but having watched James, that's just the way he communicates. Sometimes though looking on outside it's like just be happy for Deli and nod ur head lol 🤣
That's how everyone should be its not rude he's just speaking the truth and not lying.
seeing as james has some of his own ideas, i’d love to see him take on the challenge of merging this build with his own dream house elements!
Now we need James to build his dream house and you review it! Loved it.
I've got to say, I never enjoyed minimalist or modern styles until Deli and James' videos. There's just something about the way they build em, that they always feel classy and homey at the same time! So not like real life Modern houses 😂

I really love this floor plan Deli. It’s okay for a dream home to be big. It’s a dream!
A couple of years ago my dream home would have been a super modern house, with lots of space, two floors, and all that stuff, but after actully experiencing living on my on, i would feel so much better living in a small home, maybe something like a cottage (i was born in the country). James mentioned kids rooms… I wouldn’t mind seeing a future dream house with a nursery 🙈
Haha! Well this is going to be HUGE
@@deligracy Gonna need the 64x64 lot lol
That would be the perfect pregnancy announcement…
Would also love to see you continue the existing or start a new "my dream life" series. The only thing that hasn’t changed, is that you are still my favourite TH-camr! I don’t even play the sims anymore but I still watch all your video 💖! So thank you for all your hard work 💖! Love ya gal! 💖
It would be really cool to see a video touring and reacting to your dream houses over the years!

I really love your dry, subtle humour, Deli. It's also nice that your personality isn't 100% super upbeat all the time.
Well, my dream house ideas definitely changed over the years. Deli's face when James said "what if we have kids" makes me laugh soo much! 😂 Y'all are adorable.❤

This house is so pretty!! I love to get to see sims TH-camrs’ dream homes and this one is just so pretty!
Fun fact Deli: there is a bacteria in the soil that has antidepressant properties! I was wondering why i felt so much better after taking care of my plants and then found out this, and it makes so much sense :) Great built as always!
Genuinely I could watch builds like this from you every day.. my favourite type of vids is just extravagant builds I love this style so much😩
I absolutely loved this house!!! It was perfect perfect perfect in my eyes and I would not change anything! personally i thought it was a great amount of practical and fun dream house

Ah love it. Yeah it’s nice all the light that can come into a U shape
You’re so sweet. This was great to watch. Now I want to build a home for myself but I can never decide on a style!
Love this video! I think its lovely to periodically reevaluate what we want and need from the spaces we live in and interact with.
I used to be obsessed with the "swanky uptown apartment" style. Now I want to live in small, practical, lush cottage lol!
Love the dream home w/doomsday bunker 💕 Also enjoyed the tour w/Deli as the overly confident realtor & James as the skeptical potential buyer 😜
i love seeing how your dream house evolves over the years!!
You're not alone with the basement. When I think about my dream house, the first thing that comes to mind is the bunker.
From the tumbnail, I though it was your current house eco-renovated (because of the shape of the build!)
i think pierisim needs to update their mcm collection and rename the bust statue you placed in the kitchen to ''james'' now 😂
Haha! Yes!
Growing up with concrete floors my whole life (plus growing up in asia meaning we didn't have footwear indoors), I can confidently say that your feet wouldn't be sore with the floors,,,, mainly because you wouldn't be standing the majority of the time at home
You are glowing Deli so glad you are feeling so happy and positive, it’s very contagious!!
Yes she is!
Could be fun with a video with both of you togethers making your Dream House!!
In the UK butler’s pantries are called utility rooms and often have washing machines in them x
So fun to see this change over the years! I hope you get your solar panels & kitchen renovation soon! And I can’t wait for the vlog about your medication journey, but of course take your time, we’ll always be here to listen!
Definitely not the only one who wants a basement for "just in case" 🤣
Love your builds!
The appeal on concrete or stone flooring is the lovely cold on your feet during summer. It tends to maintain a temp fairly well so nice and cool I’m summer and passive heating in winter. I like how they're going to possibly have 3 kids and put them all in one bedroom in the basement. I aslo agree about the laundry being to far from the kitchen, and who'd want to hear the washer and dryer going in the main living area? Anyhow, this house is pretty awesome.
You guys are so wholesome I can’t take this
I think you and James should both design your own dream houses, then switch them with eachother to see what you would do to make it more of a blended dream house.

I'd put the laundry in the walk-in closet area, if it's next to the bathroom the plumbing would still be practical! That way you're not walking across the house to get your laundry done and the clean clothes can be put away easier.
Feel like James was a little critical! Loved this build
the fact that she mentioned how it's more convenient to have a one story home because of injuries and getting old almost made me cry. Ok now I want to see James design his dream house, and take Deli on a tour!
You should react to your past dream houses, it's so fun to see it evolve through the years
my requirements for my dream house haven't really changed, I've always wanted a good size Garden and a huge Kitchen, but my style definitely has!
basement is a really good idea. i started appreciate my apartment building's basement after spending nights in it while my hometown had been bombing

This was an adorable video. Love watching you two together. Maybe try to build James’ dream home next and see what he thinks?
Also, my dream home is - and always has been - a townhouse in London or NYC. Decorated a combo of vintage and cozy/boho.
Oh, mine have totally changed over the years. I went from wanting a big house on the coast to a smaller home with some land but still near the coast.
my dream home has definitely changed. I want NEED my own sewing and quilting room. Complete with a bar, coffee maker, stereo, and small tv with a great sound system.

I am smiling the whole time deli is showing semaj the house ☺️
My aunt's condo had concrete flooring and it's no different to wood. It's solid, it's the floor. It doesn't hurt.
I agree with you, thats a lovely house and its a lovely building... No you thinking right about the basement.
Exactly. Lovely video
My dream house is so similar! Lots of natural light. Plants everywhere. NO STAIRS
Just a fun fact from someone who use to work at a pool shop. Salt water pools still have chlorine in them. The chlorinator turns the salt you add to the pool into chlorine.
Deli, you are not alone with the basement idea. I want a panic room that leads to a hidden basement behind a bookshelf door…i have anxiety :))
James is soooooo nice! His inputs are indeed good.
I love how James is just constantly shooting everything down on the walk-through. Super nice 🙄
I noticed that, too. It made me sad. This is a DREAM home... 😢
We have a tiny green house in SA to help us start the tomato's until they are seedlings then they go into the garden, granted we live on a cattle farm so we don't grow heaps of plants
Also we have like a gravely stony floor but it is polished so is really nice on the feet. Down side is it gets really cold in the winter but is nice and cool in summer
I love the build! Awesome Doomsday room! You could prove to James how efficient it is by sneakily locking him in there for being mean about the boot nook, laundry and greenhouse! 🤣😂🤣
I should be sleeping right now!!! But I'm here 💕
I would go for the laundry room close or next to the bedroom/bedrooms. That way when you folded it would go quicker to put away, also it would be quicker to collect all the laundry ❤️
I would love to see you and James build your dream house together! Because this is your dream house and James's dream house is obviously going to look a bit different from yours!
James was so funny just saying “WHOA.” over and over!
You are not alone concerning the basement. I have to have one. A garden and a 2nd floor are a must because I can't have a first-floor master bedroom.
